Race-by-race preview and tips for Monday meeting at Warren
Race 1
3. Wolf Club draws the inside and can go back to back, stepping up in trip from a tough CL1 win 13 days ago. Hard fit for this, gets a soft run on or near the speed and further boosted with the early favourite being preferred at Sunday's Muswellbrook meeting. 4. Sian is over the odds coming off a dominant and last-start BM 58 win well into the prep. 7. Hideyo was given little or no chance last start, held up and shuffled back behind the former, but did finish off well when clear late. 1. Yak another last start winner in BM 58 grade over a similar trip, and 6. Instead, who has been in and around the money all prep can both figure in the money.

Race 2
13. Spring Prospect is a lightly raced filly drawn to get the right run inside, and strike at just her third start. Was backed from $3.50 to $3.20 ahead of a solid effort at Parkes, and extra fitness can get her home. 14. Sneaky Pee Cee is a two-year-old debutante by Winning Rupert, and a big market watch behind a steady trial. 4. London Boy is an improver back on firmer ground, and also draws to get a sound run just off the speed. At bigger odds, keep safe 12. Saint Philomena getting on to a much preferred bigger track second-up. 11. Miss Rovilea is a four-year-old mare by Kobayashi also having her first start off a quiet trial.

Race 3
14. The Git Up is an underrated and still improving mare who can launch third-up over 100m further at good odds after being given a torrid run at Wellington three weeks back. Drawn to get a lovely camp behind the speed in what is an open and wide race, and a superior and stronger jockey takes over. 10. Matilda Of Tuscany is also well-placed, improving into her third start over more ground. Must include 8. Down The Kooka, who can figure getting back on to better ground second-up, also from a handy trailing draw. 12. Fetes Des Meres has to tuck in from a wide barrier, but she gets the blinkers back on a month between runs, and having her first start in NSW. 7. Twining Class and 13. I Don't Think So can both add value into trifecta and first four plays.

Race 4
5. Miss You So is a lightly raced and improving three-year-old in the Rodney Northam stable at Scone who is searching for further second-up. Will ultimately be better over a longer trip, but will relish getting back onto a much bigger track, and with decent speed on, only needs a clear crack at them from the 350m mark. 17. Matilda Of Tuscany is first reserve here, and likely to start in the previous race, although is suited up in trip third-up. 1. Carrick draws to get a soft run over a furlong further, but still needs to improve. 9. Bold Bender is very fit deep into the prep, while 14. Withania has beaten all but the winner in her last two, but more depth in this. 13. Winning Reign heads the rest.

Matildas; Joe Montemurro says his first camp has been intense
Don't miss out on the headlines from Football. Followed categories will be added to My News. Matildas coach Joe Montemurro says he's balancing building the next generation of world class players while still winning now and after two games in charge is adamant it's 'looking positive' he can do both. Montemurro has seen a batch of his next-in-line talent through two games against Slovenia with more of his 33-player squad set to strut their stuff against Panama on Saturday in Bunbury in the absence of a host of first-choice players. The intensity has been high during the new coach's first camp and he conceded there are a few 'sore bodies' as he tries to drill down his style of play in a short period of time. 'But we have to send that message to make this is the level we need to be training at and this is the level they need to take away from the national team,' Montemurro said. Joe Montemurro, coach of the Matildas works with his players (Photo by) 'Everyone has been great, even with the integration of the young kids with a few of the more experienced players. 'We've seen a lot of talent and I'm looking forward to the next two games.' Montemurro has made his name as a club coach at some of the world's biggest but transitioning to national duties means some adaptation from him as much as players, given the limited access to them. But he's working out his system and hopes everyone involved in his first camp will take the right things away, and be better for them when they next link up. 'When you are working with players every day you can drop feed them messages and slowly add you r layers of building to where you want to go,' he said. 'When you have a short amount of time you've got to be a lot more clearer and more thoughtful with the messages when you are together and make sure they take home some ideas that we could bring back going forward. Joe Montemurro with Teagan Micah (Photo by) 'The biggest one is to give them some base principles they can take with them all the time and we can see their growth while they are not with us.' When asked about exposing 'fringe' players during the four games with the likes of Sam Kerr and Mary Fowler unavailable, Montemurro was adamant there are 'no fringe players'. 'Everyone is up for an opportunity, it's really important to send that message,' he said. 'That's why this camp has been important, to look at some players but also put in some ideas and the more players we can have a look at, the better it has been. 'It';s now giving them the base things, the three or four key things that being a Matilda is, and giving them opportunities in real scenarios. 'It's been the [perfect camp for that.' Milbrodale Mountain Classic champion for 2025 was Newcastle's Glen Ackroyd
Champion of the Mountain at this year's Milbrodale Mountain Classic was Car #3, driven by Glen Ackroyd with navigator Michael Price, Ackroyd Racing, Newcastle. Held on the weekend at Milbrodale near Singleton, the Hunter Valley Off Road Racing Association (HVORR) organised the event. It features round 3 of the NSW Off Road Championship, round 2 NSW Long Course Enduro and round 1 of the East Coast Tri Challenge Series. Now in its 39th year, the event attracts many of the region's best off-road competitors, and this year's racing, with 62 competitors, was held in perfect weather, allowing the drivers and spectators to enjoy all the action on the track. HVORRA supported the Matilda Gilkison Fundraiser over the weekend by running a raffle and a 50/50 club. Thanks to our racing community's generosity, $5,000.00 was raised to support Matilda and her ongoing medical and therapy needs. Matilda is a young local girl living with Angelman Syndrome. This rare genetic condition affects the nervous system and causes severe developmental delays, seizures, and difficulties with movement and balance. In addition to the funds raised, HVORRA donated a custom-made therapy tricycle to help assist with Matilda's physical development and therapy goals. HVORRA also raised funds for the Bulga Whittingham Rural Fire Service and Milbrodale Public School in recognition of their ongoing support and assistance at the Milbrodale Mountain Classic. These local organisations play a vital role in the event's safety, success, and smooth running each year. HVORRA is proud to give back and express appreciation for their dedication and contribution to the community. Hometown Matildas hero Sam Kerr sends fans into raptures
Matildas superstar Sam Kerr has sent her hometown fans into raptures, and some for their running shoes, after stepping out to sign memorabilia for some of the game's youngest fans in Perth. Despite having not graced the pitch in more than 18 months due to an ACL injury, Kerr was the star pregame attraction of the Matilda's first friendly against Slovenia at HBF Park. Kids packed the eastern terrace and clamoured for their soccer hero's coveted signature, calling her name from the moment she entered the arena, Kerr building anticipation with a slight delay. Kerr worked her way the length of the pitch, stopping for selfies and responding to squeaked requests from fans as her entourage ensured everyone got their moment with the beloved star. The 31-year-old's appearance had the fans in the perfect mood for kick-off against Slovenia, waves of green and gold rolling about an atmospheric HBF Park. Kerr appeared in high spirits as she continues to work her way back from injury, included in new coach Joe Montemurro's inaugural squad for four matches across WA, including two against Panama. The striker hasn't made an on-field appearance since rupturing her ACL in January last year during Women's Super League club Chelsea's summer training camp in Morocco. Montemurro also revealed Kerr was currently recovering from a second surgery unrelated to her knee reconstruction. Samantha Kerr of the Matildas takes a selfie with the fans. Kerr's popularity in Perth needs little introduction, with Football West's headquarters named after the Fremantle-born star.
