Check out the Wicked: For Good trailer below (watch more trailers and clips):
Following the events of the first Wicked movie, the Wicked: For Good trailer sees Glinda and Elphaba on opposing sides as Oz has now decided they hate the Wicked Witch of the West. This puts Glinda in an awkward position as she's now becoming more involved with Oz's politics while also having allegiance to her friend.
Along with Grande and Erivo, the cast of Wicked: For Good includes Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero Tigelaar, Ethan Slater as Boq Woodsman, Marissa Bode as Nessarose Thropp, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, Jeff Goldblum as The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, and Bowen Yang as Pfannee.
Wicked: For Good adapts the second act of the popular 2003 stage musical by Stephen Schwartz and Winnie Holzman. The musical, itself, is a loose adaptation of Gregory Maguire's 1995 novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, which in turn is based on L. Frank Baum's The Wonderful Wizard of Oz book, which was adapted into the infamous 1939 movie with Judy Garland.
Jon M. Chu returns to direct Wicked: For Good. Prior to working on the Wicked movies, Chu made 2008's Step Up 2: The Streets, 2010's Step Up 3D, 2013's G.I. Joe: Retaliation, 2015's Jem and the Holograms, 2016's Now You See Me 2, 2018's Crazy Rich Asians, and 2021's In the Heights.
Wicked: For Good will be released in United States theaters on November 21, 2025, from Universal Pictures. Wicked, meanwhile, is currently available to stream on Peacock.

‘The Odyssey' Imax Tickets Will Go on Sale a Year Before Christopher Nolan's Epic Opens in Theaters

'A Journey Begins' is the tagline for Christopher Nolan's next film 'The Odyssey.' Few movie lovers expected the quest to start so early. Imax tickets for 'The Odyssey' will go on sale on July 17, 2025 — an entire year before the Universal Pictures action epic is slated to hit the big screen. But there's a caveat: Tickets will only be available at movie theaters with Imax 70mm screens (the director's preferred format) — and just for select showtimes. Tickets for other formats and screenings are likely to go on sale much, much closer to the film's release date. It's rare that a studio would put tickets on sale so far in advance, but anticipation is high for Nolan's cinematic follow-up to 2023's 'Oppenheimer,' which further confirmed the director as a box office draw after generating a staggering $975 million globally and winning the Oscar for best picture. Universal's marketing department is already getting to work before 'The Odyssey' has even completed production. A roughly minute-long teaser trailer for 'The Odyssey' was recently unveiled exclusively in cinemas ahead of screenings for 'Jurassic World Rebirth' and 'Superman,' stoking excitement over a year before the film's release date. The teaser has yet to officially debut online, keeping with Nolan's longstanding prioritization of the big screen experience. An adaptation of the Homer's Greek epic, 'The Odyssey' stars Matt Damon as Odysseus, the king of Ithaca, and chronicles his long and perilous return home after the Trojan War. The starry ensemble includes Tom Holland as Odysseus' son Telemachus, as well as Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong'o, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron and Jon Bernthal. Nolan is re-teaming with Universal, the studio that backed 'Oppenheimer.' The film will be released on July 17, 2026. 'The Odyssey' will be the first movie shot entirely with Imax cameras. Nolan has been a loyalist to the high-tech format ever since his 2008 superhero epic 'The Dark Knight' became the first Hollywood release to utilize Imax cameras for select action sequences. Since then, Nolan has used Imax cameras on films such as 2010's 'Inception,' 2014's 'Interstellar' and 2020's 'Tenet' to give them a certain scope and scale. 'Oppenheimer' in particular became a force in Imax, with the premium format contributing a massive 20% of overall box office grosses. Some cinephiles crossed state lines to see the film in 70mm Imax, selling out auditoriums for weeks. By putting tickets for 'The Odyssey' on sale this far in advance, it's clear that Universal and Imax expect Nolan's latest to drive a similar demand on the world's biggest and brightest screens. Ariana Grande ‘Thrilled' to Lead Jon M. Chu's ‘Oh, the Places You'll Go!' Voice Cast Alongside Josh Gad

After spending the past couple of years in Oz, Ariana Grande is moving to the land of Dr. Seuss. As announced Tuesday (July 15), the pop star is set to lead the voice cast of Jon M. Chu and Jill Culton's upcoming film adaptation of Oh, the Places You'll Go!, a 1990 classic written and illustrated by the iconic children's book author. Josh Gad — who previously lent his voice to Frozen, playing Olaf the Snowman — will also star in the project, which will hit theaters in 2028. She also wrote on her Story, 'I love this book, I love this script, I love the beautiful world of @drseuss, I love this incredible group of creative human beings.' 'I am so thrilled to be a part of this one,' she added, calling her costar 'a brilliant joy.' Oh, the Places You'll Go! marks the latest film project Grande has signed up for since starring in Wicked, which premiered last year and was also directed by Chu. She earned critical acclaim for her portrayal of Glinda opposite Cynthia Erivo's Elphaba in the musical, nabbing an Oscar nod for best supporting actress (which ended up going to Emilia Pérez's Zoe Saldaña). The second part of the film, Wicked: For Good, will arrive in November. In May, the two-time Grammy winner also joined the cast of Meet the Parents 4 with Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro. Produced by Warner Bros., Oh, the Places You'll Go! will also feature original music by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the duo behind Dear Evan Hansen and The Greatest Showman. Additional cast members and plot details have yet to be announced, but the original Seuss book chronicles the whimsical and colorful adventures of a young traveler. It won't be the first time a Dr. Seuss creation has been transformed into an animated film. In 2008, Blue Sky Pictures produced an adaptation of Horton Hears a Who!, which was followed by Universal Pictures' The Lorax — starring Zac Efron and Taylor Swift — in 2012. Ariana Grande has been booked and busy, but making clear that music is still a priority. 'I am having fun. i feel grateful and excited and inspired. 🙂 finding a balance, between many projects and endeavors i love, and doing it my own way… so i'm working on a plan to sing for you all next year. even if it's just for a little.i love you.' Grande has indeed been working on many projects, including a starring role in Wicked and Wicked: For Good, the latter of which is out this November. And on Tuesday (July 15), she posted a photo alongside Josh Gad holding up what appears to be scripts for a forthcoming animated film based on Dr. Seuss' final book, Oh, the Places You'll Go! Jon M. Chu (Wicked) will direct the musical, with Jill Culton and J.J. Abrams producing. In March 2024, Grande released her seventh album, Eternal Sunshine. The album debuted atop the Billboard 200, while singles 'Yes, And?' and 'We Can't Be Friends (Wait For Your Love)' both topped the Billboard Hot 100. Just over a year later, in March, she released the album's deluxe edition, Brighter Days Ahead. Grande last toured in 2019 as part of her Sweetener World Tour, which celebrated both Sweetener and its follow-up album, Thank U, Next. While it's unclear what her 'plan to sing' for fans next year might entail, it seems that 'brighter days' are indeed ahead with this to look forward to.
