Fertilizer shortage: KTR demands action against culprits
He lamented that there was no farmer assurance benefit in the Congress government and added that there was also no farmer loan waiver benefit.
He expressed his concern that even if the farmers take out loans and do agriculture, they were facing the shortage of fertilizers for their crops. To this extent, KTR responded to the problems of the farmers through his social media platform X.
KTR questioned as to why the State government was in a situation, where even though the farmers have given Aadhaar cards as requested by the Revanth government, the State government was not in a position to give the farmers a bag of fertilizers? He demanded that the Revanth government should explain to the farmers as to why there was a shortage of 1.94 lakh metric tons of the fertilizer across the Telangana State.
He protested that not only the farmers, but also the people of the State should know how the price of a bag of urea, which should have been Rs 266.50, had now reached Rs 325? He rained down questions and asked the government as to who is running the black market racket in the name of the shortage of the fertilisers? KTR demanded that the Revanth government immediately conduct an investigation against those who are responsible for the shortage of the fertilizers.

Chandigarh: The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) on Monday provisionally attached nine houses and apartments, and bank accounts with balances worth Rs 14.06 crore, linked to former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda's former principal secretary Murari Lal Tayal, his wife, and family members. The move comes even as the trial against Tayal, known as a confidant of Hooda, is yet to start. The attachment orders are based on investigations carried out by ED in a case linked to corruption and amassing assets disproportionate to known sources of income during Tayal's service as a bureaucrat in Haryana. The provisional attachments have been carried out under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002 by ED's Chandigarh zone office. The nine immovable properties include two houses and seven apartments in Chandigarh, New Delhi, and Gurgaon. An FIR registered by the anti-corruption bureau (ACB) wing of CBI alleged that former IAS officer Tayal and his family members amassed assets disproportionate to his income from Jan 2006 to Dec 31, 2014. Tayal served as principal secretary to the then chief minister of Haryana from March 6, 2005, to Oct 31, 2009, and as a member of the Competition Commission of India from Nov 30, 2009, to Dec 31, 2014. Pursuant to this, ED investigated the financial affairs, income tax records, and stock market dealings of Tayal and his wife, Savita Tayal, who also served as a member of HPSC during the Congress govt, and their son, Kartik Tayal. The ED investigation revealed that from Jan 1, 2006, to Dec 31, 2014, the accused acquired disproportionate assets worth Rs 14.06 crore while using the proceeds of crime (PoC) generated through illegal gratification. Last year, CBI filed a voluminous chargesheet against the accused, and the trial could not be advanced as the agency did not get permission for prosecution of the officer from the depart of personnel and training, as well as the govt of Haryana. During the Bhupinder Hooda-led Congress govt, Tayal enjoyed plum postings in Haryana as well as the Centre.

HC transfers Malinga assault case from Dholpur to Jaipur
1 2 Jaipur: The Rajasthan High Court Monday ordered the transfer of a high-profile assault case involving former MLA Girraj Singh Malinga from Dholpur to Jaipur, citing concerns over witness safety and the accused's influential status in the region. The single-judge bench of Justice Umashankar Vyas issued the transfer order while hearing a criminal transfer petition filed by assistant engineer Harshadhipati, the victim in the case. The case stems from an alleged assault on Harshadhipati and junior engineer Nitin Gulati at the Bari discom office in Dholpur on March 28, 2022. Malinga, who is currently out on bail, has faced multiple charges of assault on public servants. He was a Congress MLA from Bari but switched over to BJP prior to assembly elections in 2023. He, however, lost the election. "We told court that victim and witnesses face life threats in Dholpur as the accused is a strongman," said Akhil Simlote, counsel for the petitioner. The high court has directed the Jaipur Police Commissioner to implement robust security measures during the case hearings. "The high court has directed appointment of one SI and two ASIs under the Case Officers Scheme in the matter to assist the lower court and the prosecution," Simlote said. Malinga's bail history has been contentious. Initially granted in May 2022 due to Covid-19, the bail was cancelled by the high court on July 5, 2024, because of the celebratory procession organised by his supporters. Though he again surrendered and was jailed on the high court's directions, the Supreme Court stayed the bail cancellation on Dec 13, 2024.

Minister Bandi Sanjay Attacks Congress, Alleges Special Treatment To Akbaruddin Owaisi
Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar launched a scathing attack on the Telangana government on Monday, questioning alleged special exemptions granted to AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi's family and condemning alleged threats against media houses. Speaking to reporters in Jagtial district after inaugurating Central development projects, the Union minister alleged double standards and demanded a clarification from the Congress-led Revanth Reddy government in Telangana. Bandi Sanjay specifically questioned the Hyderabad Development Authority (HYDRA), stating, "Are the HYDRA authorities demolishing the houses of the poor in the name of encroachments, but giving exemptions to Akbaruddin Owaisi's family, who have built buildings in lakes and ponds and are running colleges and businesses there?" He cited claims by HYDRA that they cannot demolish illegal constructions at Mr Owaisi's college due to the presence of 10,000 students, contrasting this with the demolition of "small houses and huts built by poor people in the Musi river catchment areas, who have no source of livelihood or shelter". "Do only the lives of Akbaruddin Owaisi's family have value? Don't the lives of poor people matter? Are they not human?" the minister asked, accusing the government of turning a blind eye to alleged transgressions by AIMMIM leaders, including non-payment of electricity bills and encroachment. The Union Minister also strongly criticised the alleged preparations by Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leaders to attack the offices of Andhra Jyothi and other news outlets for publishing critical stories. "When media houses are being attacked, what is the chief minister doing? What is the government doing?" he demanded. Reminding Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of the time he was jailed, Mr Sanjay asked, "Weren't you jailed unjustly and denied bail? Have you forgotten all that and now joined hands with them (the BRS)?" The BJP, he said, would "always stand at the forefront in protecting democracy and press freedom". Daring BRS leaders, he added, "Attack the media houses and see what happens. Within two hours of your attack, our BJYM (BJP youth wing) activists will take care of your BRS office and the TV channel in it. Telangana is no longer BRS' fiefdom."
