No more Yaris! Rachel Kolisi reveals Chinese 'upgrade'
Barely a month after Rachel Kolisi claimed that she had traded her luxury vehicle for a Toyota Yaris, the former wife of Siya Kolisi shared a peek at her 'upgrade.'
The ex-rugby WAG shocked her followers with the Instagram post, which she has since deleted.
Rachel – who announced her split from Siya last October – has been navigating her new chapter as a single mom.
In her latest Instagram post, Rachel Kolisi shared a look at her new ride, an SUV made by Chinese car manufacturer Jetour.
'Very excited and very grateful to be a part of the @jetour_south_africa family!' she shared of the brand partnership.

In a since-deleted Instagram post last month, Rachel Kolisi introduced her followers to her Toyota Yaris, which she had affectionately named 'Betsy.' The older model was a far cry from the top-of-the-range Mercedes-Benz she had driven just days before.
The influencer and philanthropist captioned the post: 'Life has a funny way of humbling you just when you think you've got it all figured out. One day you're riding high, the next you're asking a friend to borrow their spare car and googling 'how to parallel park a Yaris with dignity.' Rachel Kolisi – the former wife of Siya Kolisi – deleted an IG post about her modest car.

The mother-of-two added: 'It's not forever. It's just a chapter. But honestly? Betsy (the car) and I are kind of vibing, and I still nail clutch control.'

After beating Ford Ranger Raptor, double cab will have a hard time holding onto its crown. The BYD Shark this month put its money where its mouth is and dethroned the Ford Ranger Raptor in spectacular fashion as the fastest production bakkie in South Africa. The 321kW/650Nm BYD Shark, a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) which showed up for the fight as the most powerful local bakkie, destroyed the Raptor on the drag strip. It clocked a 0 to 100km/h time of 5.66 seconds to better the 6.90 seconds set by the Ford Ranger Raptor two years ago. The 292kW/583Nm Raptor took the crown from the 190kW VW Amarok back in 2021. Compared to the new benchmark, the Amarok's 8.14 seconds seems very modest. Road Test Editor Mark Jones explains how the Chinese bakkie managed to top the Ford Ranger Raptor is almost every aspect of the test. It must be said that the Raptor's real forte is not on tarmac, but off-road. It is a performance off-roader, which just happened to the fastest on the tarmac too because of its sheer power. At the time of its introduction, it featured a full 102kW of power more than the Amarok and The Citizen Motoring did not see its record in any danger any time soon. The JAC T9 PHEV produces 290kW/670Nm, while the range-extending electric Riddara RD6 features 315kW/595Nm. The Maxus eTerron 9 is a full electric bakkie that produces 325kW of power and 700Nm of torque.

Geely appoints new chair of European business, replacing founder Eric Li
China's Geely Holding, the main owner of Volvo Cars, Lotus and other car brands, has appointed a new board chair at its key European investment company to replace founder Eric Li, it said late on Thursday. Danish business veteran Lone Fonss Schroder will take the helm at Geely Sweden Holding's board, which oversees the Chinese group's European businesses, Geely said, without elaborating on the reason for the switch. She replaces Li, also known as Li Shufu and Geely's top shareholder. Li is also the chair of Volvo Cars. Last year, Li urged a greater strategic focus at Geely to improve synergies and eliminate internal competition. So far, that has involved merging teams and restructuring some of its brands such as Zeekr, Geely Auto and Lynk & Co, and moving or axing executives and board members at Swedish brands Volvo Cars and Polestar. Loss-making Polestar, where Li is majority owner via Geely Sweden and private holdings, will also replace two Geely board members at a June 30 shareholder meeting. Schroder will step down from the board of Volvo Cars, where she has been a member since 2010, and instead take a seat on the carmaker's nomination committee in charge of board appointments. Former Volvo Cars CEO Hakan Samuelsson was unexpectedly brought back to run Volvo in March at a turbulent time for the carmaker marked by tariff pressures and market uncertainty.

VIDEO: GWM P300's tailgate makes it easy to climb on a bakkie
First there were side steps, then there were barn doors and now there are stepladders. Great Wall Motors have further raised the bar in bakkie tailgate operation with the GWM P300. The Chinese manufacturer last year introduced a unique tailgate concept on its flagship bakkie, the P500. It can either be operated as a standard tailgate or be split in the middle and open as two barn doors attached to hinges on either side. GWM P300 moves goalposts The GWM P300, which is the renamed P-Series, takes it s step further. Pun intended. It features a step ladder which allows easy access to the loadbin. ALSO READ: WATCH: GWM P500 raises bar in bakkie game with clever tailgate The stepladder is neatly stowed inside the tailgate and releases with a button once the tailgate is open. It features one step with a broad non-slip base to put your foot one to step onto the loadbin. After use, the stepladder slides back into the tailgate of the GWM P300 and locks away out of site. The operation is so easy it can be down with one hand. Even with the tailgate open, getting onto the back of a bakkie is not the easiest thing to do. Way back, Ford introduced unique steps on the sides of the Bantam to make life easier for bakkie owners. Another half-tonner, the Chevrolet Utility, later featured a similar design. ALSO READ: GWM P300 ups Chinese carmaker's premium bakkie onslaught Ford Ranger brings back steps The current Ford Ranger reintroduced the side steps, but integrated into the rear bumper on either side of the loadbin. However, the Raptor does not have them as the designers had to accommodate two exhaust pipes from the 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbo engine on both sides underneath the loadbin. While the BYD Shark does not feature any steps, it has another trick up its sleeve. It's tailgate is electronic and opens through the press of a button. It is only a one-way ticket though as closing it requires the traditional elbow grease.
