
More than €200k worth of cocaine seized in Clare
Gardaí have seized €210,000 worth of cocaine following a search operation in County Clare on Saturday evening.
Officers took part in the operation to Tuamgreeney at a residential premises by members of the Killaloe Detective Unit, Ennis Detective Unit and Clare/Tipperary Drugs Unit with assistance from the Regional Dog Unit.
A vehicle on the premises was searched, resulting in the recovery of suspected cocaine with an estimated value of €210,000.
A man, aged in his 40s, was arrested and brought to a Garda Station in Clare.
He is currently detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
Investigations are ongoing.

John Steadmond, aged 48, of Rossminogue, Craanford, Gorey, Co Wexford, and Paddy Maher, aged 57, of Glenmalure Gun Club, Glenmalure, Co. Wicklow are each charged with 17 related charges, including that they unlawfully acted as solicitors when not qualified to do so. The bulk of the other charges against the two men relate to inducing a number of people to pay deposits, having falsely represented that Careysfort Asset Estates Ltd was in a position to secure finance for distressed mortgage holders, with the intention of making gains for themselves or others, or causing loss to another. Kevin Kelly was hit by a car on Balbutcher Lane, at around 4.55am in the morning. Gardai and paramedics responded to the scene where the Dublin man was pronounced dead. Friends and family gathered at Hollytree Square in Ballymun yesterday evening to pay tribute. Blue balloons were released into the sky as bikers performed wheelies on motorbikes.
