Shefali Jariwala of 'Kaanta Laga' dies aged just 42
Actor-model Shefali Jariwala, best known for her appearance in the iconic song Kaanta Laga, has died at the age of 42. Her sudden passing has shocked fans and members of the Bollywood industry. Mumbai Police said on Saturday that the cause of Jariwala's death is yet to be ascertained. Her body has been sent to Cooper Hospital for postmortem examination.

Jariwala was reportedly rushed to Bellevue Hospital in Mumbai by her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, and three others. Hospital staff confirmed she had passed away before arrival.
A police team and a forensics unit visited her residence in Andheri on Saturday as part of the ongoing investigation. The first public report of her death was shared by journalist Vickey Lalwani on social media. "Shefali Jariwala, the Kaanta Laga girl, is no more," read part of an Instagram post.
Early Saturday morning, Tyagi was seen walking their dog outside the couple's home.
Known for her outspoken personality and strong presence on social media, Jariwala's death has triggered an outpouring of grief across the entertainment industry. Tributes have flooded social media, remembering her as a "vibrant, fearless" artist who left a lasting impression.
Bollywood singer Mika Singh expressed his sorrow on social media, writing, "I'm deeply shocked, saddened, and feeling a heavy heart Our beloved star and my dearest friend Shefali has left us. Still can't believe it. You will always be remembered for your grace, smile, and spirit."
Indian actor Aly Goni shared an emotional tribute on his Instagram story, stating simply: "RIP Shefali." Other celebrities, including Rajiv Adatia and Kamya Panjabi, also voiced their disbelief and sadness over the loss.
A graduate in Computer Applications, she studied at Sardar Patel College of Engineering. After a troubled marriage with musician Harmeet Singh of Meet Brothers, Jariwala found love again and married Tyagi in 2015. She is survived by her husband.
Before her stint on Bigg Boss 13, Jariwala appeared in several dance reality shows, including Boogie Woogie, Nach Baliye 5, and Nach Baliye 7. She also played the role of Bijli in the 2004 film Mujhse Shaadi Karogi.
