Chantelle Houghton hits back as trolls accuse her of taking Ozempic after impressive 5st weight loss: 'I worked hard through blood, sweat and tears'

Daily Mail06-05-2025
Chantelle Houghton has admitted that she is 'p***ed off' that people have accused her of taking Ozempic after her impressive five stone weight loss.
The Celebrity Big Brother winner, 41, insisted she had 'never taken' the drug and instead put 'blood, sweat, and tears' into dropping the pounds.
Chantelle first embarked on her weight loss transformation after reaching 13 stone following her 2021 split from ex-fiancé Michael Strutt and was relentlessly trolled for her weight.
The TV personality used the negative comments as motivation and embarked on her weight loss journey that saw her drop an impressive five stone without stepping into a gym.
Chantelle committed herself to a strict diet, avoiding processed foods and focusing on healthy eating but has since been accused of relying on weight loss drug Ozempic.
She told The Sun: 'There was an article online not long ago, and the comments section was full of people saying, 'Ozempic, Ozempic. But I've never taken it. If I had, I'd happily admit it – I'm an open book.
'But I worked hard to lose that weight through blood, sweat, and tears, and it really p**sed me off that people dismissed my effort. I've had to learn to have thick skin and do what's best for me, but the comments did hurt.'
Chantelle said she would never take the drug but warned people if they do turn to Ozempic to make sure it is 'from a legitimate source'.
She continued: 'I personally wouldn't take it – things like that scare me – but I can understand why some people do. If you're going to use it, make sure it's from a legitimate source and not something dodgy. It's your body, and you have to do what feels right for you.'
Previously Chanelle also said she had cut out alcohol from her diet because of the high sugar content as she gave an insight into her lifestyle overhaul.
It comes as Chantelle has ruled out ever having cosmetic surgery again - despite being tempted after she gained three and a half stone during lockdown.
She last went under the knife in 2016 when she had her breast implants removed, saying the original surgery was her 'biggest regret'.
She previously told The Sun: 'When I had my breast implants removed completely, I knew that was my very last cosmetic surgery. I made a promise to myself I'd only go under the knife again for medical reasons.'
In a recent interview with New magazine, Chantelle lifted the lid on her dating life and shared her dismay that 'only old men' are interested in her.
She said: 'There was an article online not long ago, and the comments section was full of people saying, 'Ozempic, Ozempic. But I've never taken it. If I had, I'd happily admit it – I'm an open book'
She said: 'But I worked hard to lose that weight through blood, sweat, and tears, and it really p**sed me off that people dismissed my effort'
She said: 'I'm open to meeting somebody. I'm not closed off from it, but I certainly haven't met anyone that I'd want to progress things with.
'I don't date, I'm not on any dating apps. If it's going to happen, it will happen naturally. But I've spent so much time on my own that I'm alright.
'I don't need someone to feel whole. I'm not trying to find my happiness in somebody else. I am happy on my own; if I meet someone, they're just going to add to that happiness.
'Don't get me wrong, I've had a few offers, but I've politely declined. Most of them are really old as well.'
Chantelle shares her daughter Dolly, 12, with her ex-fiancé Alex, but their relationship broke down after claims he had been unfaithful in 2011.
Alex and Chantelle have been far from amicable since their split, but have since moved on with their lives as Alex went on to have children with partner Nikki Manashe.
Chantelle went on to get engaged to Michael Strut but the couple went their separate ways in 2021.
She revealed in March that she's been celibate for the last two years following a string of disastrous relationships.
The beauty said she has 'given up' looking for love due to the lack of 'gentlemen' in the world.
The mother-of-one told The Sun: 'It's been about two years now and without sex I feel empowered, independent and free'.
'Chivalry appears to be dead and I'd much rather go through the rest of my life single than settle for someone who makes me miserable'.
Back in 2006, Chantelle found love with Ordinary Boys singer Preston after meeting on Big Brother and admitted she was given almost £1million for their wedding interview.
Since their split a year later, Chantelle has had a string of other high-profile relationships.

Oasis dedicate song to Ozzy Osbourne as they begin series of gigs in London

Oasis dedicated one of their hits to the late rocker Ozzy Osbourne as they made a triumphant return to London for a series of gigs as part of their world tour. Liam Gallagher told tens of thousands of fans of his pride as the band graced the stage at Wembley Stadium for the first time in more than a decade. Just three songs into their much-anticipated appearance, he declared the crowd was 'f****** beautiful', having bowed to the sea of raised arms before him. Liam and brother Noel played with their band for the first of seven nights at the stadium on Friday – with five shows over the next week and two more scheduled in September. It was the first time they had appeared together onstage at the London venue since July 12 2009, when they performed during their Dig Out Your Soul tour. Towards the end of the gig, they paid tribute to Osbourne. Lead singer Liam said: 'I wanna dedicate this one to Ozzy Osbourne, rock 'n' roll star.' The Black Sabbath star's death at the age of 76 was announced earlier this week. Oasis superfans in bucket hats and branded T-shirts had packed the Tube en route to the gig from earlier in the day, with international accents denoting the band's worldwide popularity. As with previous gigs Liam and Noel walked onstage hand in hand, opened with Hello and proceeded to belt out many of their classics including Some Might Say and Morning Glory. The packed-out stadium was in full voice throughout and at one point Liam threw a tambourine into the jubilant crowd, while later positioning one on top of his head. Despite pledging to concentrate on his vocals rather than talking – telling those gathered 'every time I open my mouth at these gigs I seem to get myself into a lot of trouble so I'm just going to do the singing' – Liam later engaged in some light football banter. The well-known Manchester City fan appeared to poke fun at Arsenal fans in the crowd, joking about their position in the Premier league. Phone camera torches lit up the stadium as darkness fell. Friday's show – the eighth of the tour – followed a five-night run of homecoming gigs in Manchester's Heaton Park and the two opening shows in Cardiff earlier this month. Following the first part of their Wembley stint, the band will head up north to Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium followed by Dublin's Croke Park. The group will head to Japan, South Korea, South America, Australia and North America later in the year. Oasis announced their reunion tour in August of last year – 16 years after their dramatic split in 2009 which saw Noel quit following a backstage brawl at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris. While fans were excited at the Britpop band's reunion, many were left outraged after some standard tickets in the UK and Ireland jumped from £148 to £355. The controversy prompted the Government and the UK's competition watchdog to pledge to look at the use of dynamic pricing.

Rob Kardashian's ex Blac Chyna showcases dramatic weight loss amid Hollywood's Ozempic craze

She has been embarking on a spiritual and physical makeover in recent years, one which has seen her get into incredible shape. And Blac Chyna showcased the results of all her regular workouts in her latest post on Thursday. Clad in a skintight taupe bodysuit, the outfit accentuated Chyna's incredible weight loss. 'Ginger has entered the chat @fashionnova,' she captioned the post, seemingly referencing her fiery hair color. Chyna - born Angela White - was the picture of fitness as she showed off her flat abs, toned legs and defined arms. Feet slipped into to New Balance trainers and chunky white socks, Chyna, 37, looked ready to exercise in style. While various celebrities have also been dropping the pounds with the help of weight loss medication Ozempic in recent years, Chyna, who has never said she's used the product, can thank her fitness regimen for her results. The star - who has four-year-old daughter Dream with ex-fiance Rob Kardashian and 12-year-old son King with ex-fiance Tyga - has been documenting her rigorous workouts on Instagram, and didn't take any breaks as bikini season approached. 'Summer is around the corner baby… time to shred !!!!! Let's goooo @_a1fit 8 week program let's get it,' she captioned an exercise post back in April. Not only has Chyna been hitting the gym to maintain her svelte physique, but two years ago she underwent a dramatic physical and mental make-under after getting baptized and reconnecting with God. The born-again Christian began a return to her natural body after making her name showing off more voluptuous curves, undergoing a breast reduction, removing the silicone fillers in her derriere, and dissolving her facial fillers. She also got sober and shed her infamous stage name in favor of embracing her birth name. Reflecting on the process to return back to Angela, the My Word singer admitted to in 2023 that it has been a 'rewarding' experience. 'Not only am I doing it for myself, but then I'm also encouraging other people that's even thinking about it,' she gushed. The former stripper said she was stunned by the reaction to her make-under however - admitting she 'didn't think it was going to be so massive'. The born-again Christian began a return to her natural body after making her name showing off more voluptuous curves, getting a breast reduction, removing the silicone fillers in her derriere and dissolving her facial fillers; pictured 2016 'Everybody's been really, really supportive. When I posted it, I didn't think that it was going to be so massive,' she said of her decision to share video footage of herself having her filler dissolved. 'Like, I posted at maybe 3.30 in the morning. And I was just healing from my surgery and thought, 'Let me just post these,' and then I went to sleep. I woke up and it had blown up but in a positive way. 'When I saw that, I'm like, 'This makes me want to even be more open and vulnerable with the people so they can see.' So that's when I documented me, dissolving in my face fillers in the lips.' Chyna has no regrets about dissolving her filler, confessing that she believes she went too far with the cosmetic procedure. 'It got to a point where my lips were so big, even when I would smile, you still couldn't see my teeth,' she said. 'Now you can see my teeth... I have teeth.' She was quick to stress that she is 'not against' fillers or cosmetic surgery, but noted that she wants anyone who is thinking of getting work done to research thoroughly and 'make sure you know exactly what you are putting into your body'. Chyna had previously admitted to undergoing a long list of procedures, including four breast surgeries, liposuction, and a backside enhancement before she began posting a series of candid videos in 2023 to document her surgery journey. She insisted that she never had a Brazilian butt lift but had silicone injections into her backside when she was 19 years old. Speaking about her reasons for getting plastic surgery procedures, Chyna said that much of it boiled down to 'insecurity', candidly sharing: 'Basically it's being insecure. 'As women, we want to look the best and like as fake as possible and plastic and everything needs to be perfect in this and that. But that's not normal, that comes from insecurity and different things of that sort and just being in that certain kind of life and lifestyle. 'So I'm kind of done with that type of lifestyle and I just want to step into my own and own it.'

Flight attendant's bizarre 'air aerobics' class mid-flight leaves passengers stunned

Flights are often getting delayed, but one airline employee has come up with a unique way to make sure passengers aren't held up too much. A traveler on a recent EasyJet flight, named Joe, took to TikTok to share a hilarious video of a cabin manager taking passengers through a series of movements in their seat, dubbing it 'air-aerobics.' The clip began with Joe in his plane seat listening to the voice of the crew member speaking through the inflight PA system, with a strange request for the passengers. On the clip, Joe wrote: 'What is going on?' as he looked amused and listened to the crew member. 'Just before we come into land … I've been flying for 30 years now … a couple of weeks ago, I just tried something to help the crew out, to help our operations to turnaround the plane quicker,' he said. 'I came up with an idea,' the experienced crew member continued. 'If you want to join in with this, please feel free … it's a bit of a laugh and a bit of a giggle. It's called air aerobics.' The crew member then pointed out the passengers had been cooped up in their seats for three to four hours due to a delay, before guiding them through some stretches. 'So what I'd like everybody to do is stretch around,' he urged. 'Lets see those arms.' He told everyone to lean to the right, then to the left, and then the middle. 'Touch your head,' he instructed. 'Touch your nose, touch your shoulders, touch your knees, no touch your toes.' Then, the stretch got interesting, with the crew member telling passengers to reach into the seat pocket in front of them and locate the safety card. 'Everybody pull that out and wave it in the air like you just don't care,' he directed, before delivering the final instructions of his air-aerobics. 'Put the card back in the seat pocket, with the "safety on board" sign facing you and placing the card in front of the other literature in the seat pocket,' he requested. 'Believe it or not, that's knocked seven minutes on my turnaround time,' the cabin manager told the plane full of passengers. 'Thank you very much for helping us.' The Daily Mail has contacted EasyJet for comment. Users chimed in with their thoughts in the comment section, many whom work in the airline industry. 'That's hysterical! Putting the safety cards at the front facing the right way does actually knock time off the turnaround,' agreed one user. Another joked: 'I thought he was going to say, "So you see the instructions for a crash landing, that's the brace position you all now need to take as the landing gear is stuck."' Someone else pointed out making sure to move on a flight can also help prevent deep vein thrombosis, which is a a blood clot that forms in a deep vein, usually in the leg or pelvis. 'In 2001 there was a lot of awareness of DVTS. I was on a flight and part way through Mr Motivator came on and made us exercise! No making us read though!' they quipped.
