Race and rally cars are just plain cool. Seeing the pinnacle of an automaker's engineering abilities distilled into a single automobile is sheer bliss. Audi has made some of the best rally cars around, with its Group B cars arguably being its most recognizable models. The German automaker also participated in IMSA with the 1989 Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO, a five-cylinder, 720-hp behemoth. The 2025 Audi RS 6 Avant GT is the company's tribute to the 90 quattro IMSA GTO car, and is touted as the fastest RS 6 Avant to date. This AWD speed wagon is powered by a 4.0L biturbo V8, outputting 621 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque through an eight-speed Tiptronic gearbox with optimized shift times.
It can propel itself from 0 to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds and top out at 190 mph. Stopping power comes from its massive 16.5-inch front and 14.6-inch rear carbon-ceramic brakes.
Other special additions to the RS 6 Avant GT include three-way adjustable coilovers, a tuned Quattro sport rear differential, exclusive 22-inch 6-spoke Avus wheels painted in Ibis White, and a rear spoiler. Despite the racing-focused additions, the RS 6 Avant GT is 88 lb lighter than the RS 6 Avant Performance.Design-wise, this special edition Audi has a redesigned front fascia, lower splitter, side sills, and rear diffuser, as well as unique carbon-fiber front fenders and hood.
Each U.S.-bound RS 6 Avant GT is finished in Arkona White with the red/gray/black racing-heritage livery and RS badging.
Inside, passengers are greeted by RS sport seats wrapped in Valcona leather with an RS 6 GT logo, featuring red and copper double stitching, and complemented by Crimson Red seatbelts. The Alcantara steering wheel, sides of the center console, the center armrest, and door armrests all sport the same red and copper double stitching.
Even the floormats feature RS 6 GT lettering as does the center-console badge that displays your particular example's number out of 660.
Unlike the regular RS 6 Avant, the special edition GT leaves the Neckarsulm production line after body construction works and paint. Each unit heads to Böllinger Höfe, where models such as the Audi R8 and the RS e-tron GT are built.
Final assembly is carried out by seven experienced craftspeople at three assembly stations set up especially for this exclusive special edition, spending an entire day on site. All GT-specific features are fitted by hand, including the hood, fenders, rocker panels, double wing, the front and rear aprons, and the adjustable coilover suspension.Of course, such a tremendous automobile is a limited affair, with only 85 units produced in the U.S. and 660 globally. The Audi RS 6 Avant GT was released in late 2024 with an MSRP of $198,900, but good luck finding one on the second-hand market.
Given its limited release, used examples will undoubtedly command a premium when they do hit sites like Bring a Trailer or Cars & Bids. Do you think a tribute like this is worth the near $200,000 price tag, or would it need to have a lot more added features for that kind of dough?

How to watch 2025 IMSA Road America on Peacock: Streaming info, start times and daily schedules

Acura will try to maintain a two-month win streak in the Grand Touring Prototype category of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. After wins at Detroit (the No. 93 ARX-06) and Watkins Glen International (the No. 60 ARX-06), the Meyer Shank Racing Acuras will return with IMSA's premier division at Road America — where the manufacturer is winless since a 2022 repave. But Tom Blomqvist, who won at Watkins Glen with co-driver Colin Braun, is optimistic after a strong test at the 14-turn, 4.048-mile road course in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. 'I'd say it's probably my favorite track from an enjoyment level to drive,' Blomqvist said. 'I think also we're lucky that it's a great track for our car. It really brings out the strengths. 'In the past, it's always been a strong track for us, so I don't see a reason why it's not going to be again. I think we we've really made good gains as a team as well. Every race we're kind of getting better with the new organization, as there's a lot of new faces and new people. I feel like we're just getting stronger. So, yeah, I think we're hopeful that we can fight for the victory again next weekend.' After taking the 2024 season off, MSR has returned to full-time competition with heavier involvement from Honda Racing Corporation in the strategy and engineering of its No. 93 ARX-06. Acura's winning run has interrupted a strong start for Porsche Penske Motorsport, which won the first four races this season (most recently in mid-May at Laguna Seca) and still maintains a healthy lead in the championship standings. Full-time manufacturers BMW and Cadillac are seeking their first GTP wins in 2025. The GTP category has been on a six-week layoff since mid-June at Watkins Glen and returns for the only sprint race that will feature all four divisions of the SportsCar Championship. It's also the last two-hour, 40-minute race for a while at Road America, whose event will increase to six hours next year. Last year, Mathieu Jaminet and Nick Tandy combined for a win in the No. 6 Porsche Penske Motorsport 963. Jaminet remains in the No. 6 with Matt Campbell, and Tandy is paired with Felipe Nasr in the No. 7, which leads the points. These are the Slowest-Selling Cars In the U.S. Right Now

These are the Slowest-Selling Cars In the U.S. Right Now originally appeared on Autoblog. It's likely not surprising to hear that some cars take longer to sell than others, but some sit for much longer than expected. CarEdge recently compiled a list of the slowest-selling cars in America, with two models averaging more than a year on dealers' lots. The Audi S6 was the slowest seller in CarEdge's research, taking an average of 482 days to sell. It's followed closely by its more pedestrian counterpart, the A6, which averaged 409 days to sell. The remaining slowest-selling cars include: Audi S6: 482 days Audi A6: 409 days Volkswagen ID.4: 297 days Audi Q4 e-tron: 271 days Jaguar F-Pace: 239 days Nissan Murano: 234 days Ram 2500: 233 days Porsche Taycan: 229 days Kia EV6: 217 days Land Rover Discovery: 216 days The keen-eyed among you will quickly pick out Audi's two models at the top of the list, which both took far longer to sell than others. Part of that is likely due to their average sales prices, which reaches almost $90,000 for the S6 and nearly $70,000 for the A6. Beyond poking fun at Audi, you can use this information in real-world car-buying situations. You might not care that a particular vehicle has been sitting for an extended period on a dealers' lot, but they do. Dealers have to finance the cars they sell, so the longer a model sits, the more expensive it is for the store. You can use that to your advantage in negotiating a better price if you're interested in one of the models on the list. On the opposite end of the spectrum, the Toyota Sienna, Toyota Highlander, and Lexus RX Hybrid were the fastest-selling vehicles, averaging around 20 days to sell. In fact, most of the vehicles on the list of the fastest sellers were from Toyota or Lexus, with only the Cadillac Escalade and Ford F-150 cracking the top ten. There's ONE Day Left To Buy This 5k-Mile 2001 Acura Integra Type R

There's ONE Day Left To Buy This 5k-Mile 2001 Acura Integra Type R originally appeared on Autoblog. Is there a more desirable Integra than this one? Probably not Although the current Acura Integra is a great car in isolation, it has failed to capture the imagination of Honda and Acura enthusiasts the way older Integras have, specifically the third-generation model that first arrived in the 1990s. Now, one of the most desirable Integras ever is up for auction on Bring A Trailer. This 2001 Type R has ultra-low miles, is in impeccable condition, and is one of not many to be built for the U.S. market. The combination of these factors has created a heated bidding war that is now deep into six figures. From Under $25k To At Least $120k View the 4 images of this gallery on the original article When purchased new in Illinois, this 2001 Acura Integra Type R had a total price of $24,930. Around 25 years later, the current bid for this iconic compact is sitting at $120,000. You can buy two brand-new Integra Type S models with a 355-horsepower V6 and still have plenty left over for that amount. There's still something irreplaceable about this 2001 model's four rounded headlights, sporty two-door shape, and cheeky rear wing, though, especially in this eye-catching Phoenix Yellow paint. The prominent Type R badging makes it instantly recognizable. Under the hood is a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine rated for 195 horsepower and 130 lb-ft of torque. The buzzy VTEC engine is paired to a sweet five-speed manual gearbox, and there's also a limited-slip differential. At the time, this was considered one of the best-handling front-wheel-drive cars available anywhere, a legacy that Honda continues to live up to with today's Civic Type R. The four-pot has covered just 4,800 miles, which is nothing for this feisty engine that can rev up to 8,400 rpm with Interior View the 4 images of this gallery on the original article Inside, this Type R has a black cloth interior with red stitching on the seats, which also have microsuede inserts. The simple gauges show a tachometer that goes all the way up to 10,000 rpm, a wonderful reminder of high-revving, naturally-aspirated engines. The Acura comes with air conditioning, an audio system with six speakers, power windows, dual front airbags, power mirrors, and a center armrest with the Type R badge. This particular example is #1,086 of just 1,173 examples built for the United States, and it's hard to imagine that any of the others are in better shape. A clean CarFax report and title add peace of mind, as does the fact that the battery and hydraulic fluids were replaced in 2022. The engine oil was last changed back in 2020, so that's something the lucky new owner will want to look at, despite the low mileage. It's going to be fascinating to see if the winning bid exceeds $120k, and we'll know the answer to that soon.
