'A New Chapter' Begins as Legend Eyes Rossoneri Revival
Luka Modric is officially an AC Milan player,and he's not coming to take it easy. The 39-year-old Croatian maestro has signed a one-year deal (with an option for another) after leaving Real Madrid, and he's made it clea that his goal is to help Milan climb back to the top of Italian football.
Fresh off a legendary 13-year stint at the Bernabéu, where he won 28 trophies, including five Champions Leagues, Modric says he's excited for a 'new chapter' and ready to give everything at San Siro.
"I'm very happy to be here," he told fans. "We hope to make you proud and celebrate many victories together.'
Milan are in need of inspiration after a rough 2024-25 season. They finished 8th in Serie A, burned through two coaches, and missed out on European competition for just the fourth time this century.
But with Modric bringing both class and leadership to a squad in transition, and Massimiliano Allegri back at the helm, hope is already starting to build.

TDT | Manama Vovoras' men post tournament-best 106 points to stay perfect in William Jones Cup Bahrain's scorching form at the 44th William Jones Cup continued on Tuesday morning with a 106-91 win over Australia United, their fourth consecutive win in the tournament. Led by head coach Georgios Vovoras, the Kingdom's national team posted their highest scoring total so far, and absorbed the highest total any opponent has put up past them. This was both teams' toughest defensive test yet. The victory followed earlier wins against Japan U25 (85-69), Chinese Taipei White (71-63), and Malaysia (81-69). Now 4-0, Bahrain move into tomorrow's match against the UAE brimming with confidence. Fast Start Bahrain wasted no time asserting themselves, exploding for 32 first-quarter points while holding Australia to just 17. The opening frame reflected Bahrain's interior dominance and ball movement — a theme that would run all night. Despite a 25-24 second quarter in Australia's favor, Bahrain maintained control to take a 56-42 halftime lead. The third quarter was equally impressive, with Bahrain outscoring Australia 27-21 thanks to smart cuts, second-chance points, and unselfish play. Though Australia fought back in the fourth, Bahrain stayed in control to close out a 15-point win. Balanced Scoring JaKarr Sampson led all scorers with 21 points on 56.3% shooting, adding six rebounds and three assists in 20 minutes. He was one of five Bahrain players in double figures. Mohamed Hamoda was electric off the bench, scoring 18 points on 8-of-12 shooting, while Mustafa Rashed controlled the tempo with 16 points and a game-high 10 assists. Devon Chism had a near double-double with 11 points and 10 boards in just under 19 minutes. Ali Alhaddad also impressed, scoring 11 points and hitting two key threes. In total, 10 different players scored for Bahrain. Chemistry on Display Bahrain shot 53% from the field, dished out 33 assists, and dominated the paint, scoring 44 two-point field goals — including 33-of-49 inside the arc (67.3%). Chelsea stun PSG for world title

PSG were the favourites after coming to the United States fresh from winning the Champions League and having destroyed Real Madrid 4-0 in the semi-finals. But having been three goals ahead early on in the semis, this time the roles were reversed as PSG found themselves 3-0 down by the break. Palmer opened the scoring midway through the first half and struck again to make it two on the half-hour mark, before taking advantage of passive defending to set up Joao Pedro for the third on 43 minutes. A bad day for PSG was summed up when Joao Neves was shown red following a VAR review four minutes from the end for pulling Marc Cucurella by the hair off the ball. 'Being Club World Cup champion is something for us to be proud of. We are very happy, especially against a team in PSG who I consider the best in the world with one of the best managers in the world,' said Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca, before hailing match-winner Palmer. 'These are the games where we expect Cole to appear because it is a big game, a big moment, and once again he showed how good he is.' Before Chelsea got to lift the trophy, tensions spilled over at full-time with players facing off on the pitch and Paris coach Luis Enrique raising his arm to the neck of Joao Pedro. Joao Pedro played a part in the build-up to that goal and the Brazilian, signed during the tournament from Brighton, then got his name on the scoresheet to make it 3-0. Scorer of both goals against Fluminense in the semi-finals, he clipped a shot past Gianluigi Donnarumma after being supplied by Palmer. PSG had conceded a single goal in their previous eight matches and they never really looked like producing a comeback, even if Neves headed just wide in firsthalf stoppage time. Substitute Liam Delap almost got a fourth for Chelsea midway through the second half, before Neves was shown red to complete a bad day for PSG.
