When we asked Modern Love listeners how location sharing is affecting their relationships, the responses we got were all over the map. Some people love this technology. Some hate it. But either way, it has changed something fundamental about how we demonstrate our love and how we set boundaries around relationships. Today, we're sharing a few of our favorite listener responses. Then, Host Anna Martin talks with Arlon Jay Staggs, a Modern Love essayist who has wrestled deeply with whether to share his location.
At first, location sharing wasn't a big deal for Staggs and his mother. He took a lot of long drives, and it made sense for her to keep tabs on him. But when he realized his mother was watching his little blue dot too closely, and it was causing her stress when she needed peace of mind, Staggs decided the sharing had to stop. He just couldn't figure out how to tell her. And when tragedy struck his family, the stakes of his decision to share or not share became a lot higher.

NEWS OF THE WEEK: Lizzo seeks dismissal of stylist's discrimination suit: 'brazen liar'
Her lawyers have deemed the lawsuit filed by a wardrobe assistant over alleged discrimination and wrongful termination 'meritless'. They are asking that all remaining allegations should be dismissed before a trial. In a scathing new filing, Lizzo's legal team has called plaintiff Asha Daniels a "brazen liar" and "disgruntled former employee with an inflated ego', who harbours "personal vendettas" against Lizzo. In response, Daniels' lawyer, Ronald Zambrano, says he's not worried. 'We fully expected the defence to file a motion to dismiss. We also fully expect the judge to deny the motion.'

Astronomer's Gwyneth Paltrow video after Coldplay 'kiss cam' is perfection
This is the next step if you're Astronomer, the company at which the now-former CEO -- a man named Andy Byron -- and ex-Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot were caught on a "kiss cam" during a Coldplay concert. You deal with the crisis, and then you try to go viral with something that resets the conversation. So Astronomer hired actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who spoke in an Instagram post about "a lot of questions" the company has received and how she can answer them. It's actually a hilarious video. Some of the questions are listed, like: "OMG What the actual f..." and "How is your social media team holding..." But Paltrow talks about what the company actually does. You've got to give them credit. This is the way you rebound from what has surely been a rough time at the company with all the memes everywhere and the video of the parties involved going super-mega viral.
