Johnny Depp and Penélope Cruz reunite in Madrid

Johnny Depp and Penélope Cruz were spotted sharing smiles during a recent museum visit in Madrid. The two stars took a break from filming their new movie, Day Drinker , to explore the Museo Reina Sofía.
Their warm camaraderie was clear as they posed arm in arm in front of a striking black-and-white mural.
The museum's Instagram even shared the moment, captioning it: 'Thanks for joining us @johnnydepp and @penelopecruzoficial, until next time!'
This marks the fourth time Depp, 62, and Cruz, 51, have teamed up on screen. Their previous collaborations include Blow (2001), Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011), and Murder on the Orient Express (2017).
Now, they are back together for Day Drinker , an action thriller directed by Marc Webb and penned by Zach Dean, according to Daily Mail.
The film follows a mysterious stranger (Depp) who crosses paths with a grieving bartender (Madelyn Cline) on a private yacht.
Their lives become entangled with a criminal figure played by Cruz, leading to unexpected twists and turns.
Orlando Bloom, Depp's co-star from the Pirates franchise, showed his support by leaving two red heart emojis on the museum post.
He also hinted at the possibility of 'getting the band together' for another movie, sparking excitement among fans.
This is Johnny Depp's first major film role since 2018's Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald .
After his highly publicised 2022 defamation trial with ex-wife Amber Heard, Depp has been slowly making a comeback.
He starred in the French film Jeanne du Barry , which opened the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, and directed Modi: Three Days on the Wing of Madness .
At the San Sebastian Film Festival premiere last September, Cruz reunited with Depp, highlighting their enduring friendship.
She praised him, saying, 'Many years have passed and I have not only made three movies with him, but I also count on him as a great friend.
I've always been impressed by his kindness, his brilliant mind, his talent and his peculiar sense of humour.'
The buzz around Day Drinker is growing, with a talented cast including Manu Ríos, Arón Piper, Juan Diego Botto, and Anika Boyle.
The film promises a gripping story of connection, crime, and unexpected bonds. In today's fast-paced world, it's refreshing to see such genuine friendship and artistic collaboration thrive.

Jessie J admitted to hospital six weeks after surgery

Jessie J has shared that she was hospitalised, just six weeks after undergoing surgery for breast cancer. The 37-year-old singer revealed her early-stage cancer diagnosis in April this year. She subsequently had a mastectomy followed by breast reconstruction. In an update to her fans on Sunday morning, 3 August 2025, she mentioned she unexpectedly fell ill and found herself back in hospital. Jessie J announced her breast cancer diagnosis early June 2025. While the news was undoubtedly distressing, she found comfort in the fact that the cancer was detected at an early stage. On 23 June 2025, the singer underwent surgery to remove the cancer, followed by breast reconstruction shortly thereafter. By 7 July 2025, Jessie took to Instagram to share news that her surgery was successful. In addition to that, her results showed no signs of cancer. The singer shared news of her hospitalisation early Sunday morning, 3 August 2025, on her Instagram story. 'How I spent the last 24 hours,' she wrote in a caption, alongside a photo of a cannula inserted into her arm. 'Six weeks post surgery and I was back in the same ward I was after my surgery,' she wrote. 'Not expected or planned.' The singer revealed that she had been experiencing symptoms that suggested a blood clot. After undergoing tests, it turned out it wasn't a blood clot but an infection and fluid in her lungs instead. Despite struggling to breathe, she chose to discharge herself on 2 August 2025 and plans to continue treatment as an outpatient.
