Voter list revision for panchayat polls from July 18
Spearheaded by SEC Raj Pratap Singh, this initiative will encompass all three levels of the Panchayati Raj framework. The process will begin on July 18 and continue till Jan 15, 2026, involving door-to-door surveys, online applications, verification, and the final publication of updated voter lists.
Special attention will be given to people who turn 18 by Jan 1, 2026. A directive from the SEC office emphasized that DMs and election officers must ensure widespread publicity through newspapers and public notice boards. TNN
