On Ranveer Singh's 40th birthday, the makers of his upcoming film 'Dhurandhar' unveiled the first look teaser, and announced the release date of the film. The teaser also introduced the film's leading lady, 20-year-old Tamil actor Sara Arjun. Soon after the teaser dropped, the film's actors Ranveer Singh and Sara Arjun's age difference of 20 years became a topic of discussion on social media. While the film's storyline and character dynamics are still under wraps, many netizens wrote that they hope Sara and Ranveer have not been paired romantically opposite each other.
The teaser of Dhurandhar showed a brief glimpse of Sara Arjun's character, and it does not give away much about their roles. Shortly after the teaser dropped, a Reddit user shared a screenshot featuring Ranveer Singh and Sara Arjun in a scene from the film, and wrote, 'Sara arjun was 18 when Dhurandar was being filmed." Reacting to this post on the Reddit page BollyBlindsNGossip, one netizen wrote, " I hope they're not paired opposite each other romantically… otherwise, ugh!" while another one commented, 'I hope it's part of some mission. Again I won't be surprised if they are romancing. Almost all the actresses debuted in their teens against actors twice their age."
However, many others defended the casting, suggesting it may not be a romantic pairing and urging people to wait for the film's release before passing judgment. 'The casting looks intentional. Unless you watch it there is no way to confirm if this is a romantic pairing. Maybe stop imaginary run-ups on theories and bash a movie that has a lot of hard work put into it," wrote one netizen, while another Reddit user wrote, 'Let us atleast wait for movie to release . If it doesn't fit into story then let's criticise."

Who Is Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar Co-Star Sara Arjun?
Sara Arjun, born on June 18, 2005, began her career in advertisements as a toddler, appearing in over 100 TV commercials by the time she was five. Sara became a household name with her debut film Deiva Thirumagal (2011), a Tamil drama where she starred alongside actor Vikram. At just six years old, her portrayal of Nila — the daughter of a man with special needs — moved audiences and critics alike.
She then branched out into Hindi, Malayalam, and Telugu films. She was seen in Ek Thi Daayan, 404, Jazbaa, and The Song of Scorpions in Hindi, and also played pivotal roles in Tamil hits like Saivam, Sillu Karupatti, and Mani Ratnam's epic duology Ponniyin Selvan: I & II, where she played a younger version of Aishwarya Rai's character.

The film is set to release on 5th December, 2025.
