Alas Pilipinas Women showed all its cards to deliver a commanding 25-13, 25-15, 25-20 win against Australia and remain hot in the 2025 VTV Cup on Tuesday in Vietnam. The opposing side tried to mount a rally with a 3-1 run but substitute setter Tia Andaya showed just how deep the Philippine bench is, rejecting an Australia attack before setting up Vanie Gandler for the back row hammer, 22-15. Malaluan's cross court kill sent Alas to match point before she connived with her La Salle teammate Amie Provido in clinching the game-winning block. 'This medal means everything—it's proof that patience and recovery pay off,' Esteban said. The 24-year-old Esteban was impressive in her return, pulling off a dominant 15-3 against Algeria's Malek Tantast in the Round of 16 before gutting out a 15-12 win against Egypt's Jana Ehab in the quarterfinals.
