Seagull leaves it mark all over topless Brit relaxing in Costa Del Sol
That's not suncream. A Brit was forced to run for cover after a seagull splashed a precise poop his back in a Spanish holiday hotspot.
Expat Christian Griff was enjoying a cold beer at a beach bar on the Costa Del Sol when the bird chose to unload droppings all over his topless back.
The seagull also managed to ruin his shirt on the back of his chair.
A video clip of the incident shows Christian taking a drink with his wife Amy, before jumping up suddenly after being bombed by the bird.
Christian, originally from Birmingham, was forced to rush to a nearby toilet to clean himself up.
Having a bird poop on you is considered good luck in several cultures.
But sceptics say the belief was borne largely out of a desire to make a good omen out of an unpleasant experience.
Sharing her husband's obscene splashing on TikTok, Amy wrote: 'When you are relaxing on the beach. 'And a giant seagull drops some 'good luck' on you.'
The couple recently moved to San Pedro de Alcántara near Marbella along with their young daughter, Olive.
Seagulls, particularly the yellow-legged variant, are a common sight across the Costa del Sol.
And their poop on you is considered good luck in several cultures.
But sceptics say the belief was borne largely out of a desire to make a good omen out of an unpleasant experience.
They have become such a pest in recent years that cities including Malaga have annual control programmes to remove nests and eggs that pose a danger to the public. More Trending
Seagull poo has also become the subject of a sneaky scam used to deceive unsuspecting tourists.
It involves pickpockets pretending to clear bird droppings off someone's clothes before snatching their valuables and running off.
Last October, an expert thief who habitually spat mushed biscuits on people to simulate bird faeces was arrested after carrying out the scam on at least eight holidaymakers.
The Olive Press reported he would wear a variety of bucket hats to distract tourists before pulling off his neat trick, which he used to steal their credit cards.

Jardine slammed on his brakes after noticing the stopped vehicles in front of him but it was too late to avoid tragedy. Unable to avoid hitting the car in front of him, he swerved his HGV lorry into the opposite lane and collided head-on with an MG motor. Both occupants of the car, Lyndsay Thomson, 59, and her elderly aunt Sarah Wood, 88, were seriously injured. Firefighters had to cut both women out of the damaged motor and paramedics rushed them to hospital. Tragically, Sarah died from her injuries six days later on June 10 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow. Jardine pled guilty to causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving at the High Court in Edinburgh. Prosecutor Alex Prentice KC told the court: 'Ahead of him was a white van which had stopped and was signalling to turn right into a depot. There was a stationary car behind the van. 'Blair Jardine was on a hands-free video call with another person, and he did not pay attention to the road ahead. 'Consequently, he failed to react to the presence of the stationary vehicle, braked sharply, causing the wheels to lock and he was unable to stop in time to avoid a collision with the stationery west bound traffic so he swerved into the opposing carriageway causing a head on collision with Lyndsay Thomson's motor vehicle. Sarah later died because of the injuries she sustained.' The advocate depute that doctors treating Sarah found she had 'extensive injury' including fractures to her nose, a rib, a lumbar vertebra and both hands. The court heard that on June 5 2024, Sarah had surgery and suffered a stroke after she came out of the theatre. Mr Prentice said that on June 7 2024 she was transferred to the major trauma unit at the hospital but continued to 'deteriorate rapidly' - she later died at 7.15pm on June 10 2024. Meanwhile, Lyndsay, who was aged 59 at the time of the collision, suffered a head injury, rib, knee, leg and wrist fractures and a broken hip. Jardine was caged for four years and eight months yesterday at the High Court in Edinburgh. Police Scotland Sergeant Gordon Stewart said: 'This was a completely avoidable crash that had devastating consequences for the family and loved ones of both women. "Jardine's actions showed a clear disregard for the safety of others on the road. 'We hope this outcome brings some degree of closure to the families of those involved and serves as a stark reminder of the responsibility every road user to drive in safe manner.'

Motorcyclist killed in crash while major motorway remains closed
A motorbiker in his 50s has died after a serious crash on the M60 in Greater Manchester. A stretch of the M60 remains closed 12 hours after the smash, which happened between junctions J18 and J19 near Middleton yesterday evening. The emergency services were alerted after a crash involving a motorcycle on the clockwise carriageway. The crews found a man in his 50s with serious injuries. No other vehicles were involved. Despite the efforts of the paramedics, the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Crash investigators are now appealing for any information or dashcam footage from anyone travelling near the scene at about 8.15pm yesterday. The motorway remains closed clockwise this morning while an investigation continues. Greater Manchester Police said: 'Despite best efforts of the emergency services, a male in his 50s sadly died at the scene of the collision. 'No other vehicles were involved and we are now appealing for more information to understand the circumstances that led up to the collision. 'We are particularly interested in anybody who may have dash-cam footage of the incident.' National Highways said: 'The M60 has now re-opened anti-clockwise between J19 (Simister) and J18 near Middleton. 'The clockwise carriageway remains closed due to a police led incident.' The fatal crash comes after another motorcyclist died on the M60 further south near Stockport. Andrew Peak, 58, was rushed to the hospital with catastrophic injuries after the crash on July 12. A PENSIONER charged with "child cruelty offences" at a summer camp is set to appear in court today. He was remanded into custody and will appear at Leicester Magistrates' Court today. The Crown Prosecution Service confirmed Jonathon Ruben, from Nottingham, was charged with three counts of wilful ill treatment relating to three boys at the summer camp between July 25 and July 29. Ill treatment of a child can carry a maximum sentence of 14 years' imprisonment under the Children and Young Persons Act 1933. The pensioner was originally arrested on Monday evening at a pub on suspicion of administering poison or a noxious thing with intent to injure, aggrieve or annoy. Janine McKinney, chief crown prosecutor for CPS East Midlands, said: "The Crown Prosecution Service has authorised the prosecution of a 76-year-old man with child cruelty offences following a police investigation into a summer camp held at Stathern Lodge, Leicestershire. "This decision has been made after reviewing a file of evidence from Leicestershire Police. "Jonathon Ruben will be charged with three offences of wilful ill treatment of a child relating to three boys. "This has been an extremely upsetting and shocking moment for the community, and especially for the children and parents most directly affected." It comes as officers admitted it received a report on Sunday of children feeling unwell but did not visit the camp until Monday. The lodge is owned by Christian charity the Braithwaite Gospel Trust, which provides holiday clubs. An IOPC spokesperson said: "We received a conduct referral on Tuesday (July 29) from Leicestershire Police relating to their handling of concerns passed to them over the wellbeing of a group of children. "Our assessment team has examined all available evidence and concluded the matter should be independently investigated by the IOPC.
