Netherlands bans 'Israeli' far-right ministers Ben-Gvir, Smotrich from entering country
"They repeatedly incited settler violence against Palestinians, promoted illegal settlement expansion, and called for ethnic cleansing in Gaza," Dutch Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp told parliament in a letter released late Monday.
In June, the Netherlands backed a Swedish proposal to impose EU sanctions on the far-right 'Israeli' ministers, but the initiative failed to gain unanimous support in the EU Foreign Affairs Council.
Smotrich said in a post on X that European leaders had surrendered to "the lies of radical Islam that is taking over" and the "rising antisemitism".
Ben-Gvir said he would continue to act for 'Israel', even if they ban him from entering "all of Europe".
"In a place where terrorism is tolerated and terrorists are welcomed, a Jewish minister from Israel is unwanted, terrorists are free, and Jews are boycotted," he wrote.

Shifts in European Positions Former Minister Dr. Hayel Dawood stated that Jordanian diplomacy has played a significant role in supporting the people of Gaza and alleviating the effects of the war on them. He pointed to noticeable changes in the positions of several European countries and international institutions regarding Israel's aggression against Palestinians in Gaza. He also highlighted His Majesty the King's continued efforts—along with Jordanian diplomacy—in influencing global public opinion and exposing the brutality of the Israeli army in Gaza and the occupied West Bank, as well as uncovering the actions of the Israeli occupation to the world. Dr. Dawood emphasized that the Jordanian position, as expressed by His Majesty King Abdullah II, remains firmly committed to the Palestinian cause and the concerns of the Palestinian people, confronting Israeli aggression through diplomatic means. He stressed that the King enjoys deep respect among Western leaders, who value his wisdom and views. Jordan's Role in Breaking the Siege Dr. Moath Waleed Abu Dalo, a professor of public law and political analyst, said that Jordan, both officially and at the popular level, stands in solidarity with its Palestinian brothers in every crisis they face. She stated that Jordan is a key player in the efforts to stop the war and end the suffering of Gaza's residents, in addition to its role in exerting pressure at both the regional and international levels to find lasting political solutions. She added that Jordan has played a vital role through the United Nations and Arab and Islamic alliances in supporting the Palestinian cause and exposing Israeli violations against the Palestinian people in both Gaza and the West Bank. Al-Daqs also highlighted Jordan's ongoing efforts in delivering medical and food aid to the Gaza Strip, whether through airdrops or continuous aid convoys, as part of a relief mission that has not ceased since the start of the Israeli aggression on Gaza. – (Petra)
