'Just after Christmas, I was sent a couple of unsolicited remixes of Songs of a Lost World tracks and I really loved them,' says Cure frontman Robert Smith. 'The Cure has a colorful history with all kinds of dance music, and I was curious as to how the whole album would sound entirely reinterpreted by others. This curiosity resulted in a fabulous trip through all eight songs by 24 wonderful artists and remixers and is way beyond anything I could have hoped for. Giving our recording royalties from the project to War Child helps make Mixes of a Lost World an even more special release.'
The cover art for the album, based on the 1976 Janez Pirnat sculpture Bagatelle, has also been reworked by longtime collaborator Andy Vella.

The hard rock group's tenth full-length is scheduled to arrive on August 22. The first single from the set, "My Mind Is a Mountain," clearly has fans excited for the next chapter, which is one they've been awaiting for years. The track debuts across more than a dozen Billboard charts in the United States this week, and as it drops, the cut even helps the band reach impressive new peaks, three decades into its tenure.
