Aston Villa, Tottenham Receive Transfer Boost as Man Utd Rejected Chance to Sign PSG-Linked Attacker

Juventus striker Dušan Vlahović is attracting plenty of interest this summer, with PSG, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Aston Villa all reportedly keeping a close eye on the Serbian international. Even though he's under contract until 2026, Juventus seem open to moving him, largely due to his hefty wages and the financial pressure they're putting on the club. PSG, meanwhile, are expected to revamp their front line, with both Randal Kolo Muani and Gonçalo Ramos rumored to be available. CaughtOffside previously reported that PSG started tracking Vlahović earlier this year. Arsenal and Manchester United have also been linked, potentially setting the stage for a bidding war. With only one year left on his deal after this season, Juventus could look to sell now rather than risk losing him for free in 2026. Are Manchester United out for PSG target? MARCO BERTORELLO/AFP via Getty Images Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Manchester United were offered the chance to sign Vlahović but chose to turn it down. In his latest column for CaughtOffside, journalist Alfredo Pedulla shared an update on the Serbia international's situation, suggesting the transfer saga could stretch into the final days of August. 'Dusan is waiting for the right opportunity, which I identified back in early June as being Milan,' Pedulla wrote. 'Nearly two months have passed, and we're still on that path. Of course, certain conditions need to be met (severance deal, affordable transfer fee and other possible factors), but it's still a live option. 'And there's an important detail: if you sign Vlahovic at the end of August, you save €2m net (around €4m gross) in wages for a couple of months. Definitely not small change. So, it's better to let Dusan's hourglass run out as much as possible.' CaughtOffside also reported last month that Newcastle United, Tottenham, Aston Villa, and Nottingham Forest are all keeping tabs on the striker. It remains to be seen whether any of them hold off until late in the window in hopes of landing a better deal.

Czechia international Pavel Sulc completes Lyon move

Olympique Lyonnais have completed the signing of Czechia international Pavel Sulc (24). He has signed a four-year deal with the Ligue 1 side. Despite the club's well-documented financial issues and the introduction of a period of austerity, Lyon are nonetheless being active in the transfer window this summer. Afonso Moreira, Ruben Kluivert, and Matt Turner have all arrived, even if OL tried to cancel the latter's transfer, made during the John Textor era. He has been immediately loaned out to the MLS. Sulc is the latest player to arrive. The attacking midfielder has joined from Viktoria Plzeň in a deal worth €7.5m. He has 14 caps for Czechia and has a strong record in his native country, scoring 33 goals and registering 15 assists in 66 matches in the last two seasons. He has signed a deal that runs until 2029 and he is expected to be followed in joining OL by Liverpool midfielder Tyler Morton. GFFN | Luke Entwistle

RB Leipzig interested in Brest's Bradley Locko

As he was last summer, prior to his ACL injury, Bradley Locko (23) is being linked with a move away from Stade Brestois. Locko was one of the best left-backs in Ligue 1 during the 2023/24 campaign, however, he missed almost the entirety of the 2024/25 campaign after suffering an ACL injury in pre-season. Prior to that injury, he had been heavily linked with a move away from Brest. Nottingham Forest were notably keen on the France U21 international. As per L'Équipe, Lille OSC, in the market for a new left-back, have shown an interest this time around. The publication adds that the Breton club have set a €10m valuation for the defender. However, Les Dogues' interest in Locko has been denied by , who has added that there is interest from a new suitor. He understands that RB Leipzig have expressed an interest in signing the Frenchman this summer. GFFN | Luke Entwistle
