Charlie Fleming, Esnyr happy to be third placers in 'Pinoy Big Brother'

Charlie Fleming and Esnyr remain grateful and content despite not clinching the Big Winner spot on "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition" and finishing as the third big placers.
In Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras," Wednesday, the CharEs duo looked back on how they felt when their placement was revealed during the Big Night.
"I really wasn't expecting anything.
During their PBB stint, Charlie and Esnyr championed their fellow breadwinners, with Esnyr also representing the LGBT+ community.
"'Yung main goal naman po talaga namin is makapag-share kami ng kuwento namin sa bahay at maka-influence kami gamitin namin 'yung platform namin sa mga taong nire-represent po namin, para sa mga breadwinners, para sa mga probinsyana, at siyempre para sa LGBTQIA+ community," Esnyr said.
For CharEs, the Big Tapatan challenge with the evicted housemates was one of the highlights of their PBB journey, which they said they did not prepare for.
"'Yun po talaga 'yung totoong mga nararamdaman po namin at totoong thoughts po namin about the questions po na naibato po sa amin," Esnyr said.
"The only thing I told Esnyr was 'Let's be graceful, let's handle it with grace,' na hindi kami mang-iinsulto on whatever emotions we will feel. I'm proud of us kasi even if we raised our voices to be heard, we've never given an insult to each and every one of them kasi we still handled it with love po," Charlie said.
During their stay, Charlie was called immature, while Esnyr was called playing safe.
"Yes, I'm misunderstood but I hope people know that in my generation, a lot of us are misunderstood also, and if they could really give people chances, if they could really give the teens in my generation chances po, they would really understand them and get to see to see the good spots in them just like how they gave me a chance inside the house po," Charlie said.
"Hindi ko talaga alam pa'no po nila nasabing playing safe ako kasi siguro po ako lang po 'yung walang kalaban sa bahay. Feeling po siguro talaga nila na—kasi ako, kilala po talaga ko na nagbi-bring ng light sa house," Esnyr said.
Esnyr said that all he wanted was to spread positivity inside the house and share laughter with everyone.
The social media star also shared that the reality show paved the way for his reconciliation with his family.
"It's a blessing in disguise po for me kasi pumasok po ako nang hindi po OK 'yung pamilya po namin sa mga pamilya nila, tapos lumabas po ako na sobrang OK na po kaming lahat," Esnyr said.
The 20 housemates of "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition" are set to reunite at an event titled "The Big ColLOVE" fancon on August 10, 8 p.m., at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

‘Beyond 75: The GMA Network 75th Anniversary Special' to air on July 12

GMA Network's diamond anniversary event, 'Beyond 75: The GMA Anniversary Special,' is set to make its television airing on July 12! According to Nelson Canlas' report on '24 Oras,' Friday, the event was filled with major milestone throwbacks and was graced by Kapuso personalities, including David Licauco. 'That moment na I stepped in GMA, dahil siyempre I was a, you know, like fresh graduate from college, and to be in that, you know, like building na malaki, and I knew na that was the real world. It was something for me,' David said. Derrick Monasterio said that his most important GMA milestone was meeting Elle Villanueva. 'Kasi 'yun 'yung pinaka-permanent na decision na gagawin mo, 'di ba? 'Yung pipiliin mo 'yung partner mo,' he said. 'Marami pa po akong gustong gawin. Marami pa akong gustong gawin at maraming-marami na ring ginawa ang GMA na tinupad 'yung mga pangarap ko,' Buboy Villar said. The event featured captivating performances, including electrifying production numbers from the Sang'gres of 'Encantadia Chronicles' and powerful collaborations featuring the network's brightest stars. GMA Gala 2025 preparations now in full swing

As the countdown begins, the GMA Gala 2025 is already deep into preparations, promising an unforgettable event that will celebrate GMA Network's 75th anniversary. According to Nelson Canlas' report in '24 Oras' Friday, among the event's organizers are GMA Network Senior Vice President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes and Sparkle GMA Artist Center First Vice President Joy Marcelo. 'Ako, I'm excited personally to see how our stars will level up what they're wearing, their styling. So I'm very excited to see that. And every Gala, I see them just mingling, enjoying each other's company, and sana ito talagang maging opportunity again for them to just be themselves and enjoy. Enjoy friendship, enjoy the feeling of family,' Gozon-Valdes said. The event will be styled by Gideon Hermosa. 'Since we are celebrating, I mean, GMA is celebrating their 75th anniversary this year, yes, diamond anniversary, so it's going to be bigger, and I would say more unique and siyempre mas bongga,' he said. Guests will be served a three-course meal made with imported ingredients. 'It's all about glamour, it's all about quality, it's all about GMA,' Marriott Hotel Manila Executive Chef Meik Brammer said. Stars are already finalizing their looks for the momentous occasion, each bringing a unique vision to their attire. 'Yes, may gown na po. May theme ulit siya. And 'yun lang po. May theme kasi every time I do a gala, may kwento 'yung ginagawa ko, may kwento 'yung gown,' Kylie Padilla said. 'Meron na akong vision na sana. Maganda kasi 'yung gusto kong gown,' Kazel Kinouchi said. Jak Roberto says he wants to go simple. 'Suit and tie lang naman eh. Ang mahalaga lang sa amin mag-sharpen 'yung dating namin, maging dapper talaga pag dating sa Gala,' he said. Michael Sager said that he is excited to reunite with his fellow "PBB" housemates at the event. 'We'll go classic again, but lagyan natin ng konting twist para special,' he said. 'Gusto ko, class. May iba din tayong atake 'ba gano'n. Pakitaan ko sila na puwede tayong mag-high fashion,' Shuvee Etrata said. The GMA Gala is returning for its fourth year, and it will be held on August 2. The event is a star-studded gathering of Kapuso stars and other showbiz personalities. They walk down the red carpet in fashionable outfits and enjoy an evening of camaraderie and celebration. Proceeds of the event go to a charitable cause. Last year, the funds were donated to the GMA Kapuso Foundation for the benefit of Typhoon Carina victims. —Carby Rose Basina/CDC, GMA Integrated News

Barbie Forteza clarifies Jameson Blake is just a friend: 'We are not together'

Barbie Forteza has clarified that she and actor Jameson Blake are just friends. In her GMA Integrated News interview with Nelson Canlas, which aired in "24 Oras" Friday, the Kapuso Primetime Princess shared that she and Jameson had worked in a film together and that it was he who invited her to join a run with him. "Actually marami ngang medyo na-confuse kasi papaano naman nagkrus ang landas namin? So nagkasama kami sa pelikula," she said. "Itong recent run namin, siya naman 'yung nag-invite, just like how my other runner friends invite me to run. So 'yun lang 'yun, 'yun lang talaga 'yun. We are not together." Last month, Barbie and Jameson fueled dating rumors after Jameson shared snaps of himself and Barbie joining a 10K run together. In her GMA Integrated News interview, Barbie also talked about her close friendship with Alden Richards, whom she considers among her constants. She likewise refused to discuss the photo of herself and ex-boyfriend Jak Roberto taken at GMA Network's Beyond 75 anniversary event, where they were spotted chatting. Barbie announced their breakup in January after seven years together. As she looked back on her 16 years in the showbiz industry, Barbie admitted that she's had her fair share of highs and lows. "Pero ang naging consistent since day one 'yung respeto sa akin ng mga tao. Even the people around me, see how much I respect everyone's time, my craft, my passion, and 'yung trabaho ng lahat," she said. Barbie's upcoming horror film "P77," which stands for Penthouse 77, will premiere in cinemas on July 30. She will star in the film alongside Euwenn Mikaell, Gina Pareño, and Jackie Lou Blanco. "P77" is directed by Derick Cabrido, the filmmaker behind the Metro Manila Film Festival 2023 entry "Mallari," and produced by GMA Pictures and Clever Minds Inc. It is written by Enrico Santos and the story is by Anj Atienza and Xtian Julao. Barbie also currently stars in "Beauty Empire" alongside Kyline Alcantara, Ruffa Gutierrez, South Korean actor Choi Bo Min, and more. It airs Mondays to Thursdays at 9:35 p.m. on GMA Network. It is also available on Viu. —CDC, GMA Integrated News
