Yahoo05-07-2025
Bachelor in Paradise is finally back on the beach for Season 10 of the steamy summer Bachelor spinoff. After taking a break last year, the franchise's fun and flirty summer series returns with some new twists. This year, we won't just get fan-favorites from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, we're also going to get more time with some of the Golden Bachelor contestants. Bachelor Nation also teased that this season will introduce new 'challenges' — and I don't think they just mean navigating the age gap in their contestant pool!
Jesse Palmer is returning to host BIP 10, Wells Adams is back as everyone's favorite bartender/unofficial therapist and this year he'll have some help in the form of Bachelor Nation royalty Hannah Brown. Hannah will be helping out with 'Paradise Relations' from the all-new "Champagne Lounge."
The Bachelor in Paradise Season 10 cast includes Zoe McGrady, Jonathon Johnson, Hakeem Moulton, Alexe Godin, Bailey Brown, Dale Moss, Justin Glaze and of course, we can't forget the Goldens, like Leslie Fhima and Gary Levingston.
Are you ready to watch? Here's everything you need to know about how to keep up with all the action on the beach in Costa Rica during Bachelor in Paradise this summer.
In past seasons, Bachelor in Paradise has gathered past competitors from both The Bachelor and The Bachelorette and brought them to a beach house in paradise — this year paradise is in Costa Rica. There, contestants are free to mingle and fall in love as they please.
This season, contestants won't just be pulled from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, but also from the franchise's Golden spinoffs: The Golden Bachelor and The Golden Bachelorette.
Bachelor in Paradise Season 10 premieres Monday, July 7, 2025 at 8 p.m. ET. New episodes will drop every Monday at 8 p.m. ET all summer long. Episodes will be available to stream the day after they air on Hulu.
Can you watch Bachelor in Paradise online? Do you need ABC to watch Bachelor in Paradise live? Where is Bachelor in Paradise streaming? Don't worry, we've got you covered. While the decades-old franchise may have been on the air long before people started cutting their cable cords, there are plenty of ways to watch the crossover Bachelor spinoff in 2025.
To watch new episodes of Bachelor in Paradise live on Monday nights, you'll need access to ABC. You can tune into ABC with the help of a digital antenna (in select areas), or with a live TV streaming subscription such as DirecTV or Hulu's live TV tier. If you don't mind waiting an extra day, you can stream new episodes of Bachelor in Paradise the morning after they air with Hulu's most basic, ad-supported tier — just stay away from spoilers!

‘Golden Bachelor' Mel Owens Apologizes for Ageist Comments

The new season of The Golden Bachelor hasn't even started, and yet the season 2 lead Mel Owens is already apologizing. A little refresh: Mel went viral in July for saying that he wouldn't date any women over the age of 59—he's 66, for the record—and fans started calling on ABC to replace him as the next Golden Bachelor lead. Now, Mel is apologizing for his ageist comments in his first interview since the scandal. 'I didn't know anything about The Golden Bachelor ages,' Mel said in an interview with Glamour when asked why he would agree to star on the show if he didn't want to date women who were 60-plus. 'I didn't know the age range because I wasn't watching it. I'm thinking, to me, the age range was 45 to 60. That's my age range. I'm thinking that's the gold years for me.' So to recap, he didn't realize The Golden Bachelor's first season had an age range of 60 to 75, and thus didn't think his comments were out of place. But does he understand why his comments were hurtful? Sort of, and only thanks to an unnamed 65-year-old female friend who pointed out the hypocrisy of his comments. 'She said, 'What you said was insensitive, and it's just not who you are.' My reference for dating was 39, 40 years old. I hadn't dated in 26, 27 years. That's what I told her,' he recounted to Glamour. 'She goes, 'It doesn't matter. You've said some things that are just incredibly wrong.' And I go, 'I've got to apologize.'' He said the feedback he got made sense, and admitted that his 'frame of reference' for dating and age ranges was 'incorrect.' That said, it's unclear if he grasps exactly why his comments were so hurtful in the first place. Asked if he understood that fans were upset precisely because The Golden Bachelor is about the idea that you're never too old for love, he responded, 'I'm the perfect example.' If you're still skeptical, Mel understands. He told Glamour that the first thing he did when filming on The Golden Bachelor started last month was to apologize. 'I said, 'It was unfair, insensitive. I want to earn it back. Just give me the chance,'' he revealed, adding that he plans on earning the audience's trust back, too. Whether or not Bachelor Nation will be willing to even give Mel the chance to redeem himself remains to be seen. Season 2 of The Golden Bachelor will premiere Wednesday, September 24, on ABC.

'Golden Bachelor' Mel Owens breaks silence on 'insensitive' age cutoff controversy

The incoming "Golden Bachelor" Mel Owens is speaking out about the controversy surrounding his cutoff age comments. In June, the NFL veteran-turned-lawyer and father sparked backlash when he revealed he would eliminate any of the dating show's female contestants aged 60 or over – even if they were there for the right reasons. But Owens, 66, clarified his comments and apologized to Bachelor Nation fans in a Glamour magazine interview published Friday, Aug. 1. Owens – who admitted that he now knows his belief "was incorrect" – told the outlet that "my friend called me from Michigan. She's 65, and I went to school with her, and she's an attorney and a hot shot for the Big Ten in administration," adding that he "didn't know she's also a big fan" of "The Bachelor." The new 'Golden Bachelor' Mel Owens says he will 'cut' any woman older than 60 "She said to me, 'Mel…no. What are you doing?' She goes, 'I'm reading all about it.' I didn't know that it hit that hard. She goes, 'You've got to right the wrong.' So I listened to her," Owens told Glamour. "That's how I found out, basically." He is set to star on Season 2 of the ABC reality TV dating franchise's male edition for older contestants, succeeding the inaugural lead Gerry Turner, who also sparked backlash for offscreen behavior. When asked by Glamour why he decided to go on a show called "The Golden Bachelor" if he didn't want to date women over 60, Owens said it was "because I didn't know anything about 'The Golden Bachelor' ages." "I'm thinking, to me, the age range was 45 to 60," the ex-linebacker told Glamour. "That's my age range. I'm thinking that's the gold years for me." Despite this, Owens said he "apologized to the women on the show." "When I first walked in, I addressed it. I apologized to them," Owens added. "I said, 'It was unfair, insensitive. I want to earn it back. Just give me the chance.' And hopefully, these last two weeks I earned some of that back." Owens also said that his season's contestants' ages are "60, 65, maybe 70," and they gave him a hard time about his comments. Why Mel Owens' age cutoff comments garnered backlash Owens first stirred fan outrage in a June 4 interview on the "In The Trenches" podcast, hosted by Jon Jansen for the University of Michigan Athletics (where Owens attended college). "It's blind up until they get out of the limo. But they asked me, 'What's your preferences?' So, I just said 45 to 60, just being honest," Owens shared. A post shared by The Golden Bachelor (@goldenbachabc) Who is the new 'Golden Bachelor'? Meet Mel Owens, the Season 2 leading man "And then the process went, and I was selected, right? And then we had lunch with the executive producer. I said, 'you know, if they're 60 or over, I'm cutting them,'" Owens said. "Oh Mel, you can't, you know, this is not the 'Silver Bachelor.' It's the 'Golden Bachelor.'" Owens said the executive producer told him not to "worry about it" and the women were still "going to be hot." The former NFL first round draft pick also garnered controversy for other comments: "Well, I don't think they're (there are) going to be artificial hips or wigs there, right?" he asked on the same podcast. "Because I know there's amazing women out there." When does the 'Golden Bachelor' 2025 season air? Season 2 of "The Golden Bachelor" premieres Wednesday, Sept. 24. Originally a Michigan native, the Los Angeles Rams alum now lives in Orange County, California, and works at a local law firm. Contributing: Amaris Encinas
