Saraya admits to using cocaine during WWE run and lying about failed drug test
In a surprising and honest confession, AEW star Saraya (formerly known as Paige in WWE) disclosed during a conversation with Denise Salcedo that she had been doing cocaine while still in WWE and that when she failed a drug test, she and a friend lied to WWE officials about it.
The admission stemmed from a casual yet revealing session of "Never Have I Ever" in which Saraya was asked about one of the more infamous segments of her wrestling career with her interviewer, Denise Salcedo.
The British-born wrestler, now a trailblazer of WWE's women's division, then revealed how she tried to hide the earlier drug use and address her negative image. It's one of the very few occasions Saraya has addressed this incident in such straightforward terms, but it puts a new perspective on her issues while she was in WWE.
Saraya opens up in raw and unfiltered moment
Saraya had a very blunt and to the point explanation about it when talking to Salcedo in the light-hearted game. When the test results came back, she remembered being in a tough spot and tried to make up an excuse to not have to face the music.
'Yeah, I did it publicly… talking about my drugs and stuff like that, remember that? Yeah, I got fing— I got publicly outed for popping another drug test and I was like, uh… it was a dental surgery… and it wasn't… I did cocaine, but… yeah, I f***ed up, I lied, but it's okay.'

You can hear the regret in her words, but also a sense of acceptance and perhaps even realization that this period of her life is behind her. The mention of 'dental surgery' relates to a pretense she had previously offered publicly to explain the failed test, now just a cover story that she admits had been made up.
From controversy to comeback
There had been peaks and valleys in Saraya's career. At the age of 21, she was the youngest Divas Champion in WWE history and a key player in the 'Women's Evolution' era of the company.
But a slew of injuries, personal life controversies, and addiction struggles would overshadow her run with the brand.
With the termination of her WWE contract, she can return to wrestling with All Elite Wrestling (AEW), reviving her name and fan base after all these years. That admission is the first time she has acknowledged doing something wrong. After her statement, it is as if a line has been drawn in the sand, and it is a big deal for her to own up to any fault.

Apoorva Mukhija compares India's Got Latent backlash to Rhea Chakraborty's experience: 'It's the audience that views, shares, and mocks this content'
Content creator Apoorva Mukhija, popularly known as The Rebel Kid, recently opened up about facing intense public scrutiny and media trial after her controversial appearance on Samay Raina's India Got Latent show just a few months ago. Alongside Ranveer Allahabadia, Apoorva had come under fire for alleged inappropriate remarks that triggered mass outrage and multiple FIRs. While legal proceedings are still underway, Apoorva is now shedding light on the aftermath of the backlash, particularly the media narrative and public response, which, she says, reminded her of what Rhea Chakraborty went through after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput . 'It's the audience that allows them to keep doing it' Speaking to Bollywood Bubble, Apoorva called out the public's role in fuelling sensationalist content and encouraging toxic coverage. Referring to the way Rhea was mobbed outside court during her own media trial, Apoorva said the cycle is perpetuated because of the demand for viral, clickable content. 'Look at the amount of views those videos have. People like us give them the right to do this. That sort of gives them the right to do this. It's the audience that views this content, shares it, and mocks it. That content is what allows them to keep doing it over and over again,' she said. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Deutsche Gründer brauchen Sie: Investieren Sie in innovative Ideen Mehr erfahren Undo Apoorva Mukhija Evicted After 'Latent' Controversy | Chaos, Police & Silent Exit Public reaction fuels toxic trends, says Apoorva According to Apoorva, the consistent attention, whether in the form of outrage, mockery, or curiosity, is what keeps such content alive. She suggested that as long as the public continues to engage with these stories, creators and platforms will keep producing them. Despite the trolling, criticism, and emotional toll, Apoorva maintains a reflective and composed stance. When asked how she remains strong, she responded with a mix of acceptance and humour: 'I mean, it's a combination of everything, honestly. I've just had a lot of experiences, but experiences are just stories; they make for great story times. So it's okay.'

Assam CM inaugurates flyover, 18 artisans turn it to canvas
1 2 Guwahati: CM Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday inaugurated the new Bhagadatta II flyover at Rukminigaon, connecting the city's Downtown Hospital point to the Sixth Mile area. Named after King Bhagadatta, the ancient ruler of Pragjyotishpur, the 660-metre-long structure is expected to ease traffic on one of Guwahati's busiest corridors. Sarma, taking to his social media 'X', wrote, "This evening I will dedicate the Bhagadatta flyover II to the people of Guwahati. The flyover has been completed in a record time of nine months, against the original time frame of 18 months. It will greatly reduce congestion while approaching the capital city." The existing flyover at Dispur (Supermarket) has now been named Bhagadatta I, creating a symbolic pair that honours the legacy of the ancient king. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the CM said, "The Guwahati-Shillong Road was once a nightmare for drivers, who had to constantly shift gears in slow-moving traffic, leading to high fuel consumption," he said. The flyover has already been transformed into a vibrant urban canvas – thanks to 18 artists from across Assam who turned its pillars into striking murals celebrating the state's rich cultural tapestry. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like You Won't Believe the Price of These Dubai Apartments Binghatti Developers FZE Get Offer Undo In a remarkable display of speed and creativity, the artists painted 24 large murals across 13 pillars in just two days. Speaking about the experience, Nihal Ranjan Medhi, one of the artists who contributed to the murals, said, "We wanted to showcase the essence of our culture and what makes Assam unique. Our inspiration came from daily life — from the rhythms of Bihu to the patterns of our traditional textiles, from the folklore we grew up hearing to the rich biodiversity that surrounds us."
