The Sun understands customers will now be given compensation on a case-by-case basis.
The issue began at 8am on Wednesday and more than 9,300 issues were logged on outage detection site Downdetector.
The vast majority of reports were people struggling to make phone calls.
Angry customers began complaining on social media, with one person saying: "What's going on with the network guys? I can't receive or make calls."
Another said: "No incoming or outgoing calls are becoming regular occurrences now. Time to switch."
Three said during the outage: "We're aware of an issue affecting voice services and are working hard to fix it.
"Data services are working normally. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused."
The network confirmed the issue was resolved at about 10pm that evening.
It's understood that iD Mobile and Smarty, which both run on the Three network, were also impacted by the outage.
Three has more than 10million mobile customers across the UK.
Many customers have since been asking whether they'll receive compensation.
One said: "Will customers be compensated for the loss of services?"
Another asked: "What are we getting for the disruption?"

Initial roll-out takes place today This incarnation of the app will allow users to prioritise topics on their home page, depending on which government services are most useful to them. These areas include benefits, care, travel and business amongst others. Having these services on the home page will make it easier for 88 million Brits to engage with the government. Users will also be able to log-in using facial ID, removing the need for separate passwords for different services. The upgraded version of the app is set to roll out later this year and will feature an AI chat bot - named Chat. It will help to answer specific questions using information from the 700,000 page website. A wallet will become available on the app too, which will contain a digital driving license and other hard-copies of important documents. No more paper forms Ahead of the launch, Peter Kyle, the technology secretary, said: 'Our new App shows for the first time how this government is overhauling taxpayer-funded services as we deliver on our Plan for Change. 'By putting public services in your pocket, we will do away with clunky paper forms and hours spent on hold, so you can immediately get the information you need and continue on with the rest of your day. Starmer Rallies Lionesses: PM Visits England Women's Team at St George's Park Ahead of Euros 'This release of the App is just the start. 'Soon, you will be able to use it to ask Chat any question you like about government services, and get a reliable answer immediately. Personal notifications straight to your phone 'You will then get personal notifications, reminding you when your MOT is due or whether you need to register to vote, and then you will be able to closely track your childcare credits just as you do your bank account.' The app is a key part of Labour's Plan For Change - which aims to slash red tape slowing down British growth. Prime Minister Keir Starmer has already axed NHS England in a bid to make the National Health Service more interconnected and efficient. Another part of the plan includes a £39 billion scheme which will support the construction of affordable housing across the country.

Edge can be set as your device's autofill provider by selecting it in your settings. Microsoft Authenticator first launched in 2016 and began enabling password storage in 2020. Although this service has now come to an end, Authenticator will continue to provide some other functions. Passkeys, PIN, fingerprint and face scan still available It will support passkeys, which uses a PIN, fingerprint or face scan to log into some accounts. The news comes after Microsoft axed another iconic feature - though that comes as welcome news to some users. The frowning face and QR code will also no longer appear if your computer crashes. "End of an era" Users on social media cried that this marked the 'end of an era'. One user wrote: "The Blue Screen of Death is dying for one last time and Windows crashes just won't be the same ever again!" Another said: "But… I was literally just getting used to it." Microsoft hopes that axing the feature will speed up waiting times for its users, with the brand hoping that it will enable computers to reboot quicker.
