A Place In The Sun's presenter shares 'complicated' part of move to Spain fans don't see
A Place In the Sun presenter Jasmine Harman has shared details about the "upheaval" of relocating her family to Spain amid their home renovation, which will feature in a new Channel 4 series.
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, the 49-year-old mother of two revealed: "I underestimated the just the amount of upheaval of moving to Spain in the first place with the family and the dog and everything else.
"And then the buying of the house we bought was complicated.
"Normally my house hunts have a very easy time going through - the conveyancing and everything else. Ours was very complicated. And now we're doing the renovation. So it is complete chaos," she confessed.
The turmoil is heightened by the fact that the entire journey is being documented for Jasmine's upcoming Channel 4 programme.
The 15-episode show, titled Jasmine's Renovation In The Sun, will follow the presenter, her husband Jon, and their two children as they spend a year transforming the property into their dream home, reports the Express.
When questioned about her concerns over the public seeing the mayhem, she responded: "I'm not worried about it, but people will definitely wonder 'what is she thinking?'
"It's not just the renovation, which is something that I've never done before in another country so that's got its own challenges.
"But then filming it as well is just as an extra layer of added pressure. So it's all fine, it's all doable. Everything's all fun and games here all the time."
She said: "There's never a dull moment. But there's a lot of space plate spinning going on. The little things getting little bits and bobs done, like taking out a wall or changing kitchen, that kind of stuff is really quite easy.
"But ours is a much bigger renovation project, and obviously we're living in the house all the while with the family.
"For us, it was there weren't any really other options, because we couldn't stretch to doing the whole renovation, but at the same time renting, or living somewhere else so it just, it's just the way it had to be."
