James TW to lead candlelit concert at Òran Mór in Glasgow
Known for his emotional ballads and acoustic pop songs, James will treat fans to an exclusive live performance of his top hits.
The concert, which is part of a series of live shows across Europe, Australia, the UK, and Ireland, promises to transform iconic venues with thousands of candles for an intimate and memorable experience.

James, who has more than 2.5 billion streams of songs such as When You Love Someone, You & Me, and Speechless, and a sold-out Candlelight show in London, is set to light up the stage at 9.30pm.

The Candlelight Original Sessions offer a unique musical experience with both emerging and renowned artists performing in intimate settings.
International names such as Bastille, Conor Maynard, and Celeste have already graced the Candlelight stage.
The event marks James TW's first performance in Glasgow as part of the Candlelight series.

Here's the official list of banned items ahead of this year's event - including just how big of a camera you can bring to take photos of the event. There's still an air of mystery only a week out from this year's Wireless Festival, taking place at Finsbury Park from July 11 to July 13, 2025. Over the last number of months, we've known that Drake is set to headline all three days at the festival, along with support from a wide range of acts including British grime collective Boy Better Know. However, with time running out, there have yet to be any other acts fully confirmed for the festival – leading to speculation about who 'could' perform. Yes, photographic and other recording equipment is permitted if it is for personal non-commercial use only. However, it's important to note the restrictions on cameras: unauthorised cameras, film or video equipment are strictly prohibited, including but not limited to camera stands, lenses (must be less than 6 inches), and selfie sticks. Professional cameras and video/audio equipment are also strictly prohibited. The event organizers reserve the right to charge a licence fee for any commercial use of photographs/visual/audio recordings taken at the Event. The use of drones (including toy drones) is prohibited without written permission. Can I vape at Wireless 2025? Due to the UK ban on single-use disposable vapes that has taken place this month, you will not be able to bring them with you to Wireless 2025 (they are on the current banned items list.) However, use of resusable vapes or vape pods should be permitted similar to the guidance offered from other music festival this year.

Portrait of last Battle of Britain pilot handed over at National Museum
Group Captain Hemingway, originally from Dublin, was the final surviving member of 'The Few', who took to the skies in 1940 to defend the UK against Luftwaffe attacks in what became a pivotal moment of the Second World War. He died in March this year, at the age of 105. His portrait will find a permanent home at the Irish National Gallery. Group Captain John 'Paddy' Hemingway (Brian Lawless/PA) The portrait, unveiled by Mr Hemingway at the British Embassy in Dublin last year marking his 105th birthday, was painted by Welsh artist Dan Llywelyn Hall, 44. He was the last living pilot from the Battle of Britain and would have been 106 on July 17. Mr Llywelyn Hall is known for numerous portraits, such as the Queen, Shane MacGowan, Amy Winehouse and other public figures. Mr Llywelyn Hall said: 'I am pleased for the portrait of the Last of the Few, John Hemingway, to be a legacy for the public in John's native Ireland. 'It's especially meaningful this portrait will live in Dublin as it was John's home and held in great affection. 'This portrait serves as both a record of remarkable life and a testament to the rich personality beyond the uniform.' Brenda Malone, curator of Irish Military History, said: 'We are delighted to accept this generous gift from Dan, and are particularly happy to record John Hemingway's story, through his portrait, with us. 'The National Museum collects and preserves the history of Irishmen and women's experience of military service around the world, especially in times of conflict. 'John's story stands as a representation for the many Irish people who served in the Royal Air Force during WWII. 'His portrait and history will form a valuable part of our collections which we hold in trust for the Irish people.'
