Andhra CM to embark on six-day Singapore tour to attract investments
During the visit, the chief minister will engage with representatives of leading global companies, business owners, prominent industrialists, and notable personalities, an official release said on Thursday.

This marks Naidu's second foreign visit since the formation of the TDP-led NDA government, following his earlier trip to Davos in January.
The visit is expected to serve as a key platform to promote 'Brand AP (Andhra Pradesh)' and showcase the state's new industrial and ease-of-doing-business policies.
Naidu will highlight Andhra Pradesh's robust infrastructure, including its ports, airports, highways, harbours, and natural resources—such as its 1,053-km coastline and skilled human capital—to encourage global investors to explore opportunities in the state.
The chief minister will hold meetings with CEOs and senior representatives of various companies. On the first day, he will participate in a Telugu diaspora meeting.
He will also meet senior dignitaries in Singapore to invite industrialists from the region to the 'Visakhapatnam Investment Summit' scheduled for November this year.
Naidu is slated to participate in business roundtable meetings focused on the digital economy and fintech, and will attend a dedicated business roadshow in Singapore.
As part of the tour, he will visit key infrastructure and logistics centres across the city-state, it further said. PTI STH SSK

If 14,000 men have benefitted from Ladki Bahin Yojana, we will recover money from them: Ajit Pawar
Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Saturday said the government will recover money from those men who have taken advantage of the state's flagship Ladki Bahin Yojana which was said to be largely instrumental in bringing the BJP-led Mahayuti back to power in Maharashtra. Over 14,000 men have been reportedly benefitted from the scheme. 'The Ladki Bahin Yojana was implemented as financial assistance for poor women. It was brought with honest intention. It was not meant for men. And therefore, we are going to recover the money from them. If they do not co-operate, we will take action against them,' Pawar told reporters when asked about the media reports that 14,298 men have benefitted from the scheme. The scheme was started in August 2024 before the Assembly elections. The beneficiaries got Rs 1,500 per month in their bank accounts. As many as 14,298 men have apparently received benefits of over Rs 21 crore. Sports Minister Dattatraya Bharne, who in the past had admitted how the scheme had put additional financial burden on the state government, said, 'If men have got benefits from the scheme, the government will take appropriate action in the matter.' Another NCP Minister Chhagan Bhujbal said, 'If this has happened, then government will investigate.' Shashikant Shinde, NCP (S-P) state president, said, 'We have been consistently saying that those who were not eligible were getting benefits of the Ladki Bahin Yojana. In the House too, we had been asking the government to recover the amount which was wrongly distributed. The scheme was wrongly implemented.' Baramati MP Supriya Sule said it has come to light that some men have taken advantage of the Ladki Bahin Yojana. 'The government hurriedly got lakhs of forms filled up by women before the Assembly elections,' she said, while demanding ED and CBI investigation against contractors who were tasked with getting forms filled up from women about the Ladki Bahin Yojana.

The competitive spirit between Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka has now spilled into the realm of quantum technology, with a fresh war of words erupting between the two neighbours over the title of hosting India's first homegrown quantum computer. On July 25, Andhra Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu took to social media platform X to announce that Amaravati would soon deploy "India's first indigenously built 8-qubit quantum computer" by November, in collaboration with Bengaluru-based firm QpiAI and under the aegis of the National Quantum Mission. Mr Boseraju clarified that the first homegrown quantum computer by QpiAI has been operational in Bengaluru since April. Just a few days ago, minister Nara Lokesh had invited aerospace industries to invest in Andhra after the Karnataka government had to call off land acquisition in Devanahalli following protests by local farmer groups. "Dear Aerospace industry, sorry to hear about this. I have a better idea for you. Why don't you look at Andhra Pradesh instead? We have an attractive aerospace policy for you, with best-in-class incentives and over 8000 acres of ready-to-use land (just outside Bengaluru)! Hope to see you soon to talk across the table," he had said. This was countered by several ministers in Karnataka who defended how the state has a ready ecosystem for aerospace industries. If not Devanahalli, we will provide land elsewhere. I want to tell Nara Lokesh, he is looking to fish in troubled waters, but we will protect our interests," Industries Minister MB Patil had told NDTV.
