The Auburn Tigers handled business on Friday by defeating Central Connecticut, 9-5, in the Auburn Regional opener.
Five Tigers logged multiple hits in the game, with Lucas Steele crushing a home run and Eric Snow recording a triple. Former Ohio State defensive lineman Cam Heyward lands on NFL Top 100 list

.@CamHeyward lands at #️⃣8️⃣3️⃣ on the #NFLTop100📝: It's that time of year again when we get a look at the annual NFL "Top 100" list. This ranking is unique in the fact that the voting comes from the players themselves, so that likely means a little more knowing what your colleagues who play football at the highest level think of you. One guy that makes the list almost every year is former Ohio State and current Pittsburgh Steelers defensive lineman Cam Heyward. This year, he checks in at No. 83, and boy, has he had staying power. The 2025-26 season will be Heyward's 14th season after being selected by the Steelers in the first round of the 2011 NFL draft. He's had a distinguished and probably underrated career if we're being honest. He's been named a First-Team All-Pro four times, made the Pro Bowl seven times, and was voted the Walter Payton Man of the Year in 2023. Before heading to the NFL, Heyward made a name for himself in Columbus by becoming a First-Team All-Big Ten selection in 2010. will continue to unveil the Top 100 players for this year, and we'll continue to keep track of when former Ohio State football players are unveiled.
