Former Ohio State defensive lineman Cam Heyward lands on NFL Top 100 list
It's that time of year again when we get a look at the annual NFL "Top 100" list. This ranking is unique in the fact that the voting comes from the players themselves, so that likely means a little more knowing what your colleagues who play football at the highest level think of you.
One guy that makes the list almost every year is former Ohio State and current Pittsburgh Steelers defensive lineman Cam Heyward. This year, he checks in at No. 83, and boy, has he had staying power. The 2025-26 season will be Heyward's 14th season after being selected by the Steelers in the first round of the 2011 NFL draft.
He's had a distinguished and probably underrated career if we're being honest. He's been named a First-Team All-Pro four times, made the Pro Bowl seven times, and was voted the Walter Payton Man of the Year in 2023. Before heading to the NFL, Heyward made a name for himself in Columbus by becoming a First-Team All-Big Ten selection in 2010.
NFL.com will continue to unveil the Top 100 players for this year, and we'll continue to keep track of when former Ohio State football players are unveiled.

NFL analyst buries Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers on tier list
When it comes to NFL smart guys, there aren't many smarter than Warren Sharp. So when he talks about players and projections, we listen. Sharp recently placed 38 NFL quarterbacks on his tier list based on his projections for the 2025 season. Needless to say, if we are talking about it, the news isn't great for the Pittsburgh Steelers and new quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Sharp divided the quarterbacks into seven tiers from S+ down to F. Pretty standard stuff. As we pored over the list, seeing new Steelers starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers in the D Tier was quite disheartening but not at all surprising. Advertisement Also of note, former Steelers starting quarterback Russell Wilson, who is now with the New York Giants, and Kenny Pickett, who is now with the Cleveland Browns, are both even worse, landing in the F Tier. But the biggest surprise? Justin Fields, who was the Steelers' starting quarterback to start the 2024 season and is now replacing Rodgers with the New York Jets, is in Sharp's A Tier. One note on this list. Sharp's intention with this list was to highlight these quarterbacks based on fantasy football production, but truth be told, this typically goes hand in hand for quarterbacks with team success.
