Harry appeared annoyed when he was asked an unscheduled question about the visit
In 2019, footage emerged of Prince Harry scolding her for asking a question hours before he released an extraordinary rant about the media.
Harry had invited the media as he visited a health clinic in a remote village in Malawi as part of the Sussexes' African tour.
He talked to health officials and children suffering from malaria and Aids before being ushered to a waiting vehicle by palace officials.
But Harry appeared annoyed when he was asked an unscheduled question about the visit as he was whisked away.
Rhiannon told The Sun's Matt Wilkinson that she'd had a good working relationship with the prince previously, but this time "he got very grumpy".
She said: "New Zealand was classic Harry.
"I did this interview with him, he said 'I'd love to have kids right now'.
"We had this really good rapport. It wasn't a friendship, it was friendliness, but he was always really helpful."
So when she asked him a question in Malawi, she was shocked at his response.
"Fast forward to the South Africa trip, which was sort of seen as quite make or break for them, because they'd had some negative headlines over the holidays. And actually that trip was going really well.
"We were flying around in these little planes with him.
"We were in Malawi and I was a bit under the cosh because I had to do kind of a special to end off the week.
"So as he was about to walk past me, I thought, right, I'll do what I've done over the years. I'll just ask him a quick question. We've all done it, the dreaded doorstep.
"It was a terrible question. It was a rubbish question. I just sort of said, 'oh, why is it so important for you to come here?'
"And he looked at me and said 'oh, well just go and ask those people over there'. And I probably inside thought, hang on a minute, I'm not gonna leave this one.
"I said, well, is that why it's so important for you to come here? And then he turned around and just said, 'Rhiannon, don't behave like that'.
"And then got in his car and drove off. I felt like I'd looked like an idiot.
"He looked really patronising. Nobody came out of it looking good."
She added: "Anyway, it all blew up with his team. They were livid.
"And then it was when we got back to Johannesburg and it was in that evening that that letter dropped, the 10 paragraph letter, accusing the Royal Press Pack of everything under the sun and saying that 'we're gonna sue the Mail on Sunday'.
"So immediately I just realised, I frankly kicked the bear and I just didn't realise it at the time."
The Duke of Sussex released the unprecedented statement on his personal website, complaining of 'relentless propaganda' against his wife Meghan Markle.
He went on to announce the couple are launching legal action against the Mail on Sunday newspaper, which published extracts of a letter written by Meghan to her father Thomas Markle.

Robyn has previously posted topless snaps and appeared in pantos and describes herself as an holistic healer. Their marriage took place on July 16 at Duntreath Castle, Blanefield, owned by the Edmonstones since 1435. The couple — who run the nearby West Highland Way Hotel — launched a YouTube channel to document their travels. Calling themselves The Arctic Foxes, one video on a ferry to the Netherlands two months ago saw divorced Edmonstone tell her: 'I love you Robyn. 'You're my moon and my stars. "Will you marry me? 'I'm going to ask you a million times.' During a trip to Loch Lomond, they snuggled up in bed with Edmonstone giving his partner a foot massage. He said: 'Look how beautiful you are and look how ugly I am.' She replied: 'Don't be silly. "You're the most handsome alien I've ever known.' We told how Edmonstone got a 21-month sentence in 2018 over bogus claims for income support and tax credits, plus carers and disability living allowances. The same year, he was fined £500 after his dog bit two elderly ramblers, a jogger and a cyclist on his ancestral estate. Last night, Edmonstone said: 'Robyn and I are happy. "As a couple, we are very happy. 'I know I have a past. I get it. "I've tried to turn my life around. "I think I've been relatively successful at that. "People are allowed a second chance in life. 'I'm not proud of what I did. "It's been eight years. 'But I've done things since then which I'm proud of.'

Here are three of my favourites . . . Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up BUDGET M&S Discover Salty Skin Eau de Toilette, £10 for 100ml, 3 The M&S Discover Salty Skin Eau de Toilette is the perfect subtle scent for everyday Credit: Supplied The notes of this perfume read like a list of all my favourite scents; tart bergamot, mandarin and lemon, lightly floral orange blossom and jasmine, comforting musk and amber. It reminds me of the smell when you open the balcony door of your air-conditioned hotel room to be hit with the warm, thick air outside that's holding the smell of sun-tan lotion and salty sea air. It's the perfect subtle scent for everyday that will still feel special every time you spray it, and given the price, you'd be hard pressed to find a better value fragrance. I can't imagine there's a single person who won't love it. MID-RANGE Roger & Gallet Vanille Soleil Fragrant Water, £39 for 100ml, 3 The Roger & Gallet Vanille Soleil Fragrant Water is the perfect 'old money' scent Credit: Supplied Fragrance expert Alice du Parq aptly described this as the scent equivalent of a Mr Whippy ice cream topped with Maldon sea salt flakes. I can't think of a better way to convey the moreish, elevated vanilla perfume that's equally sweet and savoury – like all the best snacks. It's not at all sickly, despite the powdery notes of jasmine and tonka bean. It's the perfect 'old money' scent, that doesn't scream in your face or leave a trail behind you when you leave a room, but when people get close, it smells sophisticated and clean. I get stopped in the street by people asking where my perfume's from - it's a dupe of a designer scent & saves me £135 LUXURY Maison Margiela Never Ending Summer Eau de Toilette, £62 for 30ml, 3 The Maison Margiela Never Ending Summer Eau de Toilette is an aperol spritz in a scent Credit: Supplied This perfume is an Aperol Spritz in a scent. It's fizzy, bright and packed with juicy bitter orange, rich, hearty cedarwood, sharp pepper and spicy cardamom, that make it the perfect late night summer scent cocktail to cut through humid climes. It's one of the few truly unisex holiday inspired scents on the market – with no hint of sun cream-style coconut that can quickly become extremely girly. It's grown up elegance, that's guaranteed to bring in compliments.
