Pennsylvania State Police mark 50 years since Delaware County teen Wendy Eaton went missing
The cold case of Wendy Eaton, a 15-year-old girl who vanished while walking to Media Borough in Delaware County, has hit 50 years in the cold case unit of the Pennsylvania State Police.
Eaton, who was a sophomore at Penncrest High School, was last seen at 2:40 p.m. at the intersection of Indian Lane and Media Station Road in Middletown Township on May 17, 1975. She had stayed home that day while her family went golfing, planning to walk into town to buy a birthday present and card for her older brother.
Police say at the time of her disappearance, Eaton was wearing a yellow sleeveless terrycloth blouse, cutoff denim shorts, and white sneakers with a blue stripe. She may have been wearing gold-rimmed eyeglasses and possibly a class ring with a red stone. She is deaf in her right ear, has pierced ears, and is left-handed.

Described as a good student, musically talented, and active in church and scouting, Wendy was known for her kindness and reliability. Her family emphasized that she would never have missed her church choir rehearsal scheduled for that evening.
Officials say public assistance is vital in advancing cold case investigations like Wendy Eaton's disappearance.

Stockton 99 Speedway pushing through after $20,000 worth of equipment stolen from track
STOCKTON -- It was another typical Thursday night at Stockton 99 Speedway. Danica Noceti and her team locked up for the day and went home. The next morning, they returned to a track completely ransacked. "Unfortunately, we were vandalized and burglarized," Noceti shared. "They broke into three of our major operational buildings and took about $20,000 worth of equipment." The equipment that was stolen was everything they need to run a racetrack. "Anything for the scoring for the race cars on the track, to the PA systems, to how we run our daily operations, computers, monitors, radios, printers, PA systems, it's all gone," she said. All that's left are busted doors and broken windows. "We're probably here every day, at least three or four times a day, so there's high traffic. For somebody to be so gutsy, to come in and just take whatever they want and to come prepared, that's terrifying," Noceti explained. This couldn't have come at a worse time. Thursday, July 3rd is their biggest event of the year: The Ron Strmiska Firecracker 90, where nearly 7,000 locals gather to watch plenty of racing and a massive fireworks show. "It just makes us sad," she said. "You know, we give so much back to the community and to now have to shift our focus and our income, taking away from other areas to recoup our costs and to get our stuff, is just heartbreaking." But despite this setback, the show must go on. "How do you say to the community, we're safe, but come out to our event?" Noceti said. "It's like the greatest show on asphalt. We're the fastest track quarter mile out here, and honestly, the best fireworks show you'll ever see. It's a night full of food, fun, family, friends, racing, door to door action. You just come out and have a good time." Noceti wants to emphasize that nothing like this has happened during their family-friendly events. In the meantime, they're asking the community for support, whether that be attending Thursday's event or calling them with any information regarding this case. They are offering anyone with information $10,000 as a reward.

5 teens accused of carjacking woman at gunpoint in Pittsburgh, leading police on chase
Five teenagers are in the Allegheny County Jail after allegedly carjacking a woman at gunpoint. The victim told police and Channel 11 that she was approached by five juveniles armed with an 'assault style rifle' and a 'handgun' on Faust Street in Sheraden. They stole her phone, keys and car - a Honda Accord. According to police, officers spotted the car while patrolling on the North Side and began following it. They led police on a chase that reached more than 90 mph before crashing into barrier on the West End Bridge. Channel 11 was there for the aftermath around 3:30 Friday morning. We saw the Honda being looked at towed and spotted police searching for the suspects. Two hopped the barrier and hid on a footpath while the others ran. All were eventually arrested. The suspects are Damien Lamont Hill, Angelo Saxton, Jaron Crew, Aaron Reddix and Jeremiah Venson. All range in ages from 15 to 17-years-old. We spoke to the victim over the phone. She told us she is shaken up but is 'all right, relatively.' All of the suspects are in the Allegheny County Jail without bond and are charged as adults. Desperate search for missing hiker
A hiker who was dropped off for a camping trip three days ago has gone missing on the NSW South Coast. Christopher Moore, 38, was last seen on Twelve Mile Rd in Jerrawangala, about 32km south of Nowra at 10.30am on Wednesday but failed to return when he was supposed to be picked up on Friday. Police have launched a huge search operation involving rescue crews, SES and Rural Fire Service volunteers in the area he went missing. The search kicked off at 8am on Saturday. 'He was last seen wearing khaki and black pants and a khaki-coloured hooded jumper,' a police spokesman said. 'Christopher is believed to be in the Jerrawangala or Wandandian areas. 'Police and family hold concerns for his welfare.' Mr Moore is of caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall, has a thin build, short light brown hair, a beard and moustache. Anyone with information is urged to contact Nowra Police or Crime Stoppers.
