Manchester United Are Weighing Up A Move For This Bundesliga Forward: Good Option For Amorim?
Sesko's Impressive Form In German Football
Sesko enjoyed a good run of form at the German club recently as he was responsible for putting in a handful of eye-catching displays for them in the final third. The Slovenia international scored 21 times and picked up six assists in 45 matches for RB Leipzig last season across all competitions.
The 22-year-old was a real menace in the final third as he averaged 2.5 shots per 90 minutes in the Bundesliga. He kept 43.9% of his attempts on target. However, Sesko needs to work on improving his link-up play up top based on his pass completion rate of 67.6% in the English top tier (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at the Red Bull Arena will expire in the summer of 2029. Thus, Man United would have to make a convincing offer if they are serious about recruiting Sesko this off-season.

Is Sesko A Good Option For Manchester United Boss Ruben Amorim?
Sesko excels at creating a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the eye to play some decisive passes in the final third and is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet.
The Slovenian talent can chip in by scoring and creating his fair share of goals up top. Standing at 1.95m, Sesko can use his strong frame to win a few 50-50 aerial duels for his team but needs to work on improving his ball distribution in the opponent's half if he wants to succeed in the Premier League.
At 22, the future looks quite promising for Sesko. Therefore, Amorim would be wise to get a deal done for him soon as he would be a great option for the Red Devils to consider in the long run.

Transfer news, rumors: Sesko to Manchester United; Garnacho to Chelsea
It appears that Benjamin Sesko to Manchester United could happen, while the door has been left wide open for Alejandro Garnacho to depart Old Trafford with Chelsea a possible destination. MORE — Every in and out for all 20 Premier League clubs this summer Below is the latest on two talented young forwards who are on the hunt for a new home. Manchester United talks for Benjamin Sesko continue The latest reports regarding Manchester United signing Benjamin Sesko focus on talks restarting between RB Leipzig and United. Per a report from David Ornstein, United remain in talks with Leipzig but are yet to bid for Sesko. A report from Sky Germany says that Sesko's agents arrived in Leipzig on Saturday and have held talks over the last few days. Fabrizio Romano has also said that United will bid for Sesko but only if he indicates he would like to join the Red Devils. All of this comes after Newcastle bid over $92 million for Sesko, as they could lose Alexander Isak to Liverpool so want to line up Sesko as his replacement. However, there are various reports out there saying that Sesko would prefer a move to Manchester United and that is obviously what is being discussed this weekend, as their appears to be doubts from Leipzig about the structure of Newcastle's deal. Sesko has options and Newcastle can offer him Champions League action this season and he will be crucial for them up top. But can you say no to being a key part of Ruben Amorim's rebuild of Manchester United? Despite all of their recent struggles, the pull of Manchester United remains (almost) as strong as ever. Alejandro Garnacho linked with Chelsea as Ruben Amorim opens door for exit It has been reported by Fabrizio Romano that Alejandro Garnacho is keen on a move from Manchester United to Chelsea, as talks have taken place on personal terms but the clubs are yet to discuss the deal. And these latest comments from Ruben Amorim appear to confirm the Argentine winger will be leaving Old Trafford this summer. "You can understand and you can see he's a really talented boy and sometimes things don't work out," Amorim said. "You cannot explain specifically what it is. But I have the feeling, I think it's clear that Garnacho wants a different thing with a different leadership and I can understand that. So I think it's not a problem. Sometimes you adapt to one guy, you have the connection. Other times, you want a new challenge so we try to make everything okay to all the parts. To the club, to the coach and to the players. It's a natural thing in football." Chelsea have already signed some very talented attackers this summer (Estevao, Joao Pedro and Liam Delap, so far) to add to their incredible array of talents, but Garnacho seems like the obvious replacement for Noni Madueke as he was sold to Arsenal. Garnacho would suit Enzo Maresca's style of play well, especially his ability on the counter and to cut inside, and he does have a clinical edge which Chelsea need more of.

Ademola Lookman says he has handed in Atalanta transfer request, alleges ‘broken promises, poor treatment'
Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman says he has handed in a formal transfer request and alleged he has been the subject of 'poor treatment' from the Serie A club. In a statement posted on social media on Sunday, Lookman claimed Atalanta's hierarchy have gone back on promises and are blocking a potential move away. Advertisement 'There have been numerous clubs approach Atalanta in the past and I have previously always stayed loyal,' Lookman said. 'However, myself and the ownership of the club have been in agreement that now is the right time and the club were clear with me that if a fair offer came in they would allow me to move. 'Despite now receiving an offer in alignment to what I believe had been discussed sadly the club are blocking the opportunity for reasons I do not understand. 'As a result and after many months of broken promises and what I feel has been poor treatment towards me as both a human being and as a professional footballer, sadly I feel I have no choice but to speak out for what I believe is right and I feel that enough is enough. I can confirm I have now handed in a formal transfer request.' The Athletic has approached Atalanta for comment. Lookman, 27, joined Atalanta in the summer of 2022 from RB Leipzig. He scored 20 goals and provided seven assists last season, finishing as Serie A's third highest goalscorer. He has recorded 52 goals and 25 assists in 118 matches for the club, and scored a hat-trick in the 2024 Europa League final victory over Bayer Leverkusen — Atalanta's first major trophy in 60 years. Reports in Italy in recent weeks have linked Lookman with a move to Inter, who finished second in Serie A last term and will play Champions League football during the 2025-26 campaign. The Athletic reported in early July that the forward had also been discussed by Arsenal, but the club had been unwilling to match Atalanta's valuation, while he attracted interest from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2024. Lookman said he has 'always worn the shirt with pride' and tried to represent Atalanta 'with heart, passion and dedication'. 'Winning the Europa League and standing shoulder to shoulder with my teammates that night in Dublin celebrating with our fans was one of the proudest moments of my career,' he wrote, adding: 'That's what makes writing this so hard. I have loved every moment but feel that now, after three wonderful years in Bergamo, it is the right time to move on and experience a new adventure.' Advertisement In February, Atalanta's head coach Gian Piero Gasperini said Lookman was 'one of the worst penalty takers I have ever seen' after the Nigeria international missed a spot kick in the Italian side's 5-1 aggregate defeat to Club Brugge in the Champions League knockout play-off round. Lookman came on as a substitute with his side already 5-1 down on aggregate, scoring immediately after his introduction before missing the spot kick. The forward responded to being 'singled out' by saying Gasperini's remarks were 'deeply disrespectful'. Lookman came through the Charlton Athletic academy before joining Everton in 2017. He signed for Leipzig on loan before transferring to the German club permanently in 2019. After returning to England in loan spells with Fulham and Leicester, he joined Atalanta.
