Prince Harry went off-grid and was uncontactable during secret three-day visit to Botswana
After completing his work with landmine-clearing Halo Trust charity in Angola, he is believed to have travelled to the neighbouring country of Botswana last weekend.
There, he is thought to have met with a mother figure in his life who lives in the southern African country, Tania 'TJ' Jenkins, whom he calls 'mom'.
She and her husband Mike Holding played a pivotal role in Harry's life for many years before he met Meghan.
They were so important to him that he flew his future wife to introduce her to them within a month of meeting her in 2016.
It's unusual for the duke to spend so long away from the family home in Montecito, California, without Meghan.
Trips abroad without her usually involve a tight turnround, with Harry jetting home after just two or three days.
On this occasion, however, he spent a full week away from Meghan and their children, Archie and Lilibet.
A source said: 'This time he took some more time and space, and made the trip into a week-long visit to reconnect with old friends and get some headspace away from his phone and emails.
'He went off comms for two days or so.
'It was a good moment for Harry to take some time away from everything, enjoying total peace of mind and being somewhere so remote that he couldn't even get emails or texts or calls.'

I live off-grid on an island close to the North Pole where polar bears break into cabins and EVERYONE is required to carry a gun
A woman who resides on an island close to the North Pole and Norway has revealed what it's like living in the chilly location. Cecilia Blomdahl, @sejsejlija, shares her Arctic lifestyle on Svalbard to her 2.9million TikTok followers. She sometimes stays in an off-grid cabin and in one video, detailed the dangers she has to deal with when there. The content creator revealed polar bears sometimes try to break in to similar set ups, and explained how she protects herself. 'The last time a polar bear broke into this cabin was 20 years ago,' she explained. Cecilia's cabin is in a remote location, some distance from another town and is not easily accessible. 'It's fully off grid so it has no electricity, no modern amenities and it's located far away from town,' she said. 'The only way to get here in winter is by snowmobile and in summer by boat.' However, the secluded area means there's other wildlife around, including polar bears. 'It is not uncommon for polar bears to break into off grid cabins and we actually just recently had a polar bear very close to town so that is something you always have to think about when you're here on Svalbard in general,' Cecilia revealed. She has to take precautions when leaving the cabin, just in case there's a potential danger nearby. 'Whenever you go outside you need to look around the corners before stepping out to kind of see your surroundings,' Cecilia explained. She shared how her dog is also helpful in noticing other animals from far away. 'Grim is fine being outdoors because he can actually tell us if anything is coming close to the cabin way before we can see it,' she said. Cecilia also carries a firearm with her whenever she is away from the village as another form of protection against polar bears. She explained how it is necessary, especially when in the remote cabin. Cecilia said: 'Here on Svalbard, everyone is required to bring a firearm as polar bear protection whenever they are outside of the village so that is very important to have with you when you're on a cabin trip like this. However, she was careful to emphasise it would only be use in particularly dangerous scenarios. 'But the firearm is only for life-threatening situations,' she added.

JOHANNESBURG, Aug 1 (Reuters) - Johannesburg's main airport O.R. Tambo International Airport suffered an air traffic control system failure on Friday, disrupting operations. State company Air Traffic and Navigation Services (ATNS) said in a statement that the system failure had affected the flight plan management system and was expected to cause delays to departures. "ATNS is working closely with all relevant stakeholders to manage the situation and minimise the impact on passengers and airline operations," the statement said. A spokesperson said ATNS hoped the situation would be resolved within hours.

Why pop star Ciara is now a citizen of Benin
Grammy-winning artist Ciara has been granted Beninese citizenship, becoming one of the first prominent individuals to benefit from a new law offering nationality to descendants of slaves. This move is part of Benin's wider initiative to attract the Black diaspora, acknowledge its historical involvement in the transatlantic slave trade, and boost tourism centred on remembrance sites. The new law, passed in September, allows individuals over 18 without other African citizenship to apply by providing proof of slave lineage, with applications processed via the 'My Afro Origins' digital platform. Benin openly acknowledges its significant historical role in the transatlantic slave trade and has undertaken reconciliation efforts including a presidential apology in 1999. Memorial tourism, particularly in Ouidah with sites like the Slave Route and the Door of No Return, is a key approach to attract Afro-descendants, with Ciara touring these locations after her citizenship ceremony.
