On July 9, Kap's Cafe came under gunfire, with multiple bullets hitting the cafe and neighbouring buildings. The shooting was claimed by Harjit Singh Laddi, an alleged operative of the banned Khalistani outfit Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) and one of India's most wanted individuals, as listed by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). Laddi reportedly stated that the attack was carried out in retaliation for remarks allegedly made by Kapil.

Let's stand firm against violence and ensure Kap's Cafe remains a place of warmth and community. See you soon under better skies.'
