Woman charged with murder of Sunshine Coast man Zdravko Bilic identified
A third person charged with the murder of a Sunshine Coast man who was found dead in his front yard last week has had their charges heard in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court. Zdravko Bilic, 57, was allegedly murdered on the night of Sunday, July 13 during an alleged break-in. His body was discovered outside his Warana home the next day, with two stab wounds to his stomach. Queensland Police arrested and charged Kieysha Jade Sky, 18, yesterday with one count of murder. She has also been charged with one count of robbery armed, in company, wounded or with personal violence, two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle in company and one count of assault occasioning bodily harm. Ms Sky's other charges include attempting to enter premises and commit an indictable offence. She did not appear in court and was represented by lawyer Brad Skuse. Mr Skuse requested the matter be transferred to the Maroochydore Magistrates Court. Magistrate Michelle Dooley adjourned the case to the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on September 29. She ordered a brief of evidence also be provided to Ms Sky's lawyers by September 3. Ms Sky has not made an application for bail. In Queensland, a person charged with murder can only apply for bail in the Queensland Supreme Court. Ms Sky's arrest follows the arrest of two teenage boys, aged 15 and 17, who were charged with Mr Bilic's murder last Thursday. Their cases were mentioned in the Maroochydore Children's Court last week, where they were remanded in custody. They will have their matters mentioned again in September. Mr Bilic's wife, skincare business founder Gry Tomte, was interstate at the time of the alleged murder. She asked a neighbour to check on her husband because she had not heard from him on Monday. The neighbour discovered Mr Bilic's body on the front lawn of his property. In a statement on social media last week, Ms Tomte said he was her "everything". "There is no way I can capture the immense grief I feel over losing the most beautiful man. My world for 28 years," she wrote.
