Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], July 15: Phantom Digital Effects Limited (NSE: PHANTOMFX), one of India's fastest-growing and globally recognized VFX studios, is pleased to announce the successful completion of its Qualified Institutions Placement (QIP). The company has raised ₹59.99 Crore through the issuance of 23,43,600 equity shares at ₹256 per share (including a premium of ₹246 per share), reflecting a discount of 4.78% (i.e. Rs.12.85/- per Equity Share) to the floor price of ₹268.85 per share.
This fundraise comes at a transformative time for PhantomFX, as it accelerates strategic investments across creative infrastructure, talent acquisition, and international operations, including its recent acquisition of Oscar winning Tippett Studio.
Allotment Details - Major Investors (more than 5% allocation in QIP):
In a recent Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP), several major investors were allotted more than 5% of the total securities. Vikasa India EIF I Fund, Moneywise Financial Services Private Limited, and Beacon Stone Capital VCC - Beacon Stone I each received 1,95,300 shares at a price of ₹256 per share, amounting to ₹4,99,96,800 each, accounting for 8.33% of the total QIP allocation individually. UNICO Global Opportunities Fund Limited was allotted 1,75,800 shares for a total of ₹4,50,04,800, representing 7.50% of the QIP. Shine Star Build Cap Private Limited emerged as the largest investor with 2,73,300 shares, totaling ₹6,99,64,800 and accounting for 11.66% of the allotment. HDFC Bank Limited also participated significantly, receiving 1,36,800 shares worth ₹3,50,20,800, representing 5.84% of the QIP allotment.

A 35-year-old Pune businessman lost Rs 2.15 crore to Cyber criminals posing as a woman who approached him on the pretext of marriage proposal and lured him with huge profits on currency trading. The victim was manipulated into making close to 28 transactions to mule accounts as he was made to believe that he was investing in the forex market. A First Information Report(FIR) in the case was registered at Cyber Crime police station of Pune by the victim who runs a company in the service industry. Between April and June earlier this year, the victim was defrauded of a total of Rs 2.15 crore, by cyber criminals posing as 'Aakriti Sharma', claiming she was from a business family. She said she had gotten the complainant's contact from matrimonial services and got in touch with the complainant over Whatsapp. The woman claimed her family ran a furniture business in Indore and said she was interested in taking the marriage proposal forward. She said that she and her brother were also into currency trading from which they were getting 25 per cent profit. As the man continued communicating with the woman with intent to take the proposal further, she convinced him to start investing in currency trading. She made him log onto a fraudulent trading platform and open his own profile on it. The complainant was given details of fraudulent bank accounts to send money to and each of his transfers was getting reflected on the fraudulent application along with corresponding high gains in US dollars. As the complainant continued talking to the woman he also made large transfers through the platform thinking he was getting huge profits. After transferring Rs 2.15 crore the corresponding profits as reflected on the platform were Rs four crore. As the complainant submitted a withdrawal request, he was asked to pay tax of Rs 57 lakh. At this point when he discussed the issue with his friends, the complainant was made to realise that he had been defrauded. He subsequently approached the Cyber crime police station and an FIR was registered on Tuesday following a preliminary inquiry.

Rajoo Engineers Ltd., a manufacturer of plastic extrusion machinery has initiated the process to raise ₹180 crore through Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP). The issue will close on July 21. The company's board had approved the opening of the issue of qualified institutional placement (QIP) of equity shares with the floor price of ₹114.42 per equity share. On July 14, the closing price of the equity shares on the BSE was ₹131.20 and ₹131.15 per equity share on NSE. The proceeds of up to ₹160 crore from the QIP will be deployed for expansion of business through inorganic growth to accelerate the company's growth plans and remaining proceeds towards general corporate purpose. The company which specialises in Blown Film Lines, Sheet Extrusion Lines, Thermoforming Machines and PVC Pipe Extrusion Solutions has presence in over 70 countries. It is listed on the BSE and NSE. Operating from Rajkot, Gujarat, the company offers over 26 products across six segments in plastic processing.
