Zara McDermott's on-sale blowdry brush works even if you're ‘awful' at hair
If you're the type who struggles to style your hair with a brush and hairdryer without ending up in a tangle, you're not alone. Zara McDermott gets it, and as someone self-proclaimed at being 'awful' at hair, she's shared her go-to hair tool that delivers a bouncy, salon-style blowdry at home.
And the best part? The hair tool is currently on sale with over £150 off.
The tool in question is the ghd Duet Blowdry, a clever 2-in-1 blow-dry brush that dries and styles your hair simultaneously. Originally priced at £389, the limited edition Galactic Lilac colourway has been slashed by £159 at Boots, bringing its price down to a slightly more wallet-friendly £230.
Designed for anyone who finds round-brush styling difficult, the brush uses smart Heat-Air Xchange Technology ™ to give you smooth, voluminous results with minimal effort.
You also don't need to worry about any heat damage to your hair, as the heat is kept consistent, thanks to sensors that monitor it 400 times a second.
The brush actually promises 50% more shine with none of the dreaded frizz, so you can achieve salon-worthy hair every day without the hair salon prices.
And it's not just Zara who's obsessed with this hair tool. A Boots reviewer wrote: "Game changer, dry and smooth hair, no need for straighteners".
While over on the ghd website, one shopper raved: "Best thing invented since sliced bread. I have been saving for this for so long! And I am so happy I did buy it in the end! Best Thing ever. Time saving and my hair looks soooo healthy!".
However, not everyone was as impressed with lack of heat settings. A reviewer said: "The blower brush does work really well, however, I wish it had different settings. It seems like a missed opportunity to just have 1 heat, no option for cool. The tip gets super hot as you get further into the blow-dry."
If you're looking for a more affordable blowdry brush, Dry Bar's The Double Shot Blow-Dryer Brush is currently priced at £125 and has been praised by shoppers for being excellent for curly hair.
While the Shark SmoothStyle Heated Brush and Comb is almost 50% off at Amazon. Normally priced at £99.99, it's now 45% off at £54.99.

PSA: This NBC Select editor-favorite Shark dryer brush is 50% off on Amazon right now
Whether your hair is curly, straight, wavy or natural, having the right hair tools on hand to style your hair is a huge step in the right direction — they make the difference between having a quick and easy session, versus being stuck in the mirror for hours. Shark is known for their quality tools across the board, including vacuums, air purifiers, hair tools and more, and the Shark SmoothStyle is no exception. The lightweight, versatile, dryer brush -styling comb combo is great for drying, shaping and styling — and it's also on sale right now for 50% off. Want more from NBC Select? Sign up for our newsletter, The Selection, and shop smarter. Deal of the Day: This heated comb may look like an electric round brush, but it works as a dual straightener and blow dryer. It includes three preset air temperatures, along with an additional heat setting, that you can use on wet or dry hair without leaving any heat damage, according to the brand. It combines nylon and thick, boar bristles with ceramic plates that heat safely up to 420 degrees Fahrenheit — however, the plates are covered by protective teeth that stop you from accidentally burning yourself. The Smoothstyle's light indicator also lets you know when it's heating up, ready to use and off. While testing the Smoothstyle, NBC Select editor Lindsay Schneider, who received a sample from the brand, likes that it's lightweight and easy to use. 'It's really easy to use — there's pretty much no learning curve,' she says. 'Plus, this wasn't super heavy to hold up like some other tools on the market are.' Why trust NBC Select? I'm an associate SEO reporter for NBC Select who's been covering deals and sales for over a year. For this piece, I checked the price of the Shark Smoothstyle heated comb and dryer brush across retailers to find the best deal.

Shoppers baffled as Vinted is flooded with more than 120 identical Zara skirts in perfect condition
Second-hand shoppers are scratching their heads after noticing dozens of units of the same Zara skirt are being listed on Vinted. The yellow sequin skirt, designed by the Spanish-owned retailer, has been listed more than 120 times on the platform for second hand purchases, according to one shopper. The bizarre phenomenon has led to speculation that the item may have been reduced instore, prompting a flurry of business-minded thrifters to pick it up for a cheap rate and resell it on Vinted at a profit. Yuliya Kyrpo had been researching ways to build her own reselling app by 'monitoring and observing' what is happening on Vinted when she spotted this trend with the skirt as well as other Zara clothes. The reseller posted several screen recordings of skirts to her TikTok, @ where some were selling the clothing for more than £60 and writing over it 'how many yellow sequin Zara skirts can you spot?' She added: 'Is it me or has Vinted turned into Refund Centre?' She then went on to comment: 'Can someone please explain why did 124 people bought this skirt and selling it on Vinted full price and brand new? 'Surely it can't be that everyone missed their return deadline? I'm seeing more and more of this, this shopping phenomenon needs to be studied!' Ms Kyrpo told Femail: 'I started to notice that the algorithm is pushing similar things to me and then I saw there several of the same item. 'It made me think "what's wrong with it, why do so many people want to resell it" 'Sometimes people wear it once and it doesn't fit quite perfectly, or there's something else that's wrong with it, or people miss the deadline to return it. 'So there are multiple, different reasons that people sell it on. The small business owner added: 'But the more it looked, it seemed like people were just buying a piece of clothing and selling it straight away. 'I'm starting to see people then selling these clothes at full price, which just takes away from the whole idea of from second-hand. 'I mean, I don't mind paying for something full price if I really really want something like, but there's so many of these that it actually becomes comical.' She joked: 'It may be sold out in Zara, but it's certainly not sold out on Vinted.' People online were just as shocked as Ms Kyrpo, with one user saying: 'Drives me insane it's from the sale and people are doing it for profit! See it so much.' Prices from the skirt varied from around £30 to more than double that at £60 Another wrote: 'This skirt had 70% off the original price in my Zara the other day, probably why!!' One person added: 'People did the same with kids clothes in the next sale bought them and sold them for double the price. joke' While another said: 'Resellers. Buy in the sale then re-sell on vinted for more £' However, some others thought there might be so many of the same skirt because people kept missing their returns date, with Ms Kyrpo herself writing in her comment 'surely it can't be that everyone missed their return deadline?' But one user chimed in explaining that 'I have adhd and forget to return them in time all the time'. Others made more of a dig at people who would have bought the item to only wear once and wanted to make up for the loss. The excessive posts of the clothing led to some people speculating online that the skirt was reduced in store and savvy thrifters wanted to sell it on Vinted for an increased price or had worn it once and wanted to make up some of their money One user joked: 'All the people who wore to Ibiza & now need to recoup some ££!' But then another woman agreed, adding 'I wore this skirt to Calvin Harris at Ushuaïa in Ibiza on Tuesday there were 5 of us wearing it in just our little area no wonder there's so many for sale!!' However, some people said the sizing was an issue and that may be why so many were being resold. 'I got this skirt and love it, but I didn't realise when I tried it on, how massive it is!! I'm an L and I could have easily got in an S,' one woman wrote.
