Egypt Faces Heatwave, Humidity Rise on Tuesday

H-Tayea
Egypt is expected to see extremely hot and humid weather conditions on Tuesday, with widespread impacts across the country.
The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) has warned that most regions will face stifling daytime heat, especially under the influence of rising humidity levels that will significantly increase the apparent temperature, making it feel between two and four degrees Celsius warmer than the actual reading in shaded areas.
In Cairo, the temperature is expected to reach a high of 35 degrees Celsius, but it will likely feel closer to 38 or even 39 degrees due to the humidity. Across the Nile Delta and northern Egypt, similar conditions will prevail with both daytime and nighttime offering little relief. The night is expected to remain warm and sticky with humidity lingering into the early morning.
A major feature of the forecast is the development of thick morning fog expected to form between four and eight in the morning. This mist may significantly reduce visibility on roads leading in and out of coastal areas the Delta Greater Cairo the Canal Cities and parts of central Sinai. Authorities urge commuters to drive cautiously during these hours as fog could be dense and persistent in some locations.
In the northwest wind activity will pick up along the coasts of El Salloum and Marsa Matrouh where gusts may reach speeds between 30 and 45 kilometers per hour. These winds will also cause wave heights to increase ranging from one and a half to over two meters which may affect sea traffic and beach safety in those areas.
Scattered low to medium clouds will appear over parts of northern Egypt including Cairo and South Sinai although no rain is forecast. Skies will remain mostly clear aside from occasional cloud cover.
The forecasted temperatures across major cities are as follows
Cairo 35 high 25 low
Alexandria 32 high 22 low
Marsa Matrouh 30 high 22 low
Sohag 40 high 25 low
Qena 40 high 26 low
Aswan 41 high 28 low
