CALLUM McGREGOR has stopped crying his heart out.
Some 41 days after he wiped treble tears from his eyes, the Celtic skipper didn't look back in anger in the shadows of Hampden.

Forget the long awaited Oasis reunion down in Cardiff.
McGregor was back with his team-mates to lead Brendan Rodgers' latest premiership title masterplan.
The match won't Live Forever in the minds of anyone who was here.
But some might say McGregor cast no shadow against the Championship side in this first friendly win of preseason.
Okay, okay, that's quite enough of the Oasis puns.
This was serious stuff for Rodgers and Co as they kicked off their preparations for the new season with an easy victory.
Striker Johnny Kenny's first-half strike was the only goal off the game with Sean Crighton's men grafting hard all night. But it was as comfortable as it could have got for the Premiership's defending champions.
The Celts boss was still without his international players for this friendly.
The likes of Kasper Schmeichel, Alistair Johnston, Liam Scales, Kieran Tierney, Reo Hatate, Daizen Maeda and Adam Idah have all yet to report back from their summer break.
Cameron Carter-Vickers, James Forrest and Jota are still out injured.
The diggers move in as Celtic Park pitch is dug up
There was also no Nicolas Kuhn at Lesser, with the German winger on the verge of completing a £17million move to Serie A outfit Como.
Ironically, that deal could see him play AGAINST Celtic in just a few weeks when Rodgers takes his squad to Italy for more a pre-season action.
There will be a bounce game in Cork early next week and then a training camp in Portugal before that.
And it's fair to assume the players are probably looking forward to some warm-weather sessions.
Because July in Scotland right now could be mistaken for November given the wind and rain that was swirling around Glasgow..
Both teams almost stood shivering as they paid tribute to Lisbon Lion, John Clark, with a minute of applause before kick-off for the club legend whose funeral service had been held earlier in the day.
In all fairness, by the time the game got going, the 898 fans who managed to get tickets were given a decent amount of attacking football to watch.
It largely went in the one direction.
Queen's keeper Calum Ferie - who would have been a hero to the Celts supporters with his man of the match display against Rangers in last season's Scottish Cup shock - didn't exactly have countless saves to make in the first-half by any stretch of the imagination.
And he maybe felt a little gutted that he conceded after 20 minutes given how hard his defenders in front of him were working.

But Celtic were still well worth their half-time lead given how much possession they had.
Johnny Kenny got the goal and it was a terrific finish from the young Irishman who continues to look the part in a hoops shirt.
His sweeping finish high into the roof of the net gave Ferie no chance.
At the other end, Ross Doohan was making his Celtic debut and he only had one real stop to make - from a shot from Jamie Bradley - which he did comfortably.
The ex-Aberdeen goalkeeper was the only away player who stayed on for the second-half.
Rodgers took all of his outfield men off at half-time and gave ten kids the opportunity to catch his eye.
Stephen Welsh took the skipper's armband from McGregor.
With so many teenagers out on the park it was a chance for Queen's to compete more.
But the eager rookies continued to dominate the ball with Kyle Ure, Conor Daly, Sean McArdle and Ben Summers the ones to watch.
They all oozed class and confidence on and off the ball as they were clearly determined to impress their gaffer.
Striker Samuel Isiguzo should have made it 2-0 in the closing stages but his shot lacked power to beat Ferie.
After the miss, he could have been forgiven for turning to cigarettes and alcohol. Sorry.

Inside James Penrice's rise to £2m superstar as proud David Martindale says Hearts star's AEK transfer is well earned

Martindale gave Penrice his Premiership breakthrough and he's proud to see him go on to new heights David Martindale helped send James Penrice on his way and reckons he deserves his big-money move to AEK Athens. The Livingston boss is delighted that his former full-back is on the verge of a near £2million move to the Greek giants. ‌ Penrice's success at Hearts last season has put him in the sights of AEK. ‌ It has been some rise for the left-sided defender who Martindale, initially, took on loan from Partick Thistle. He then took him to Almondvale permanently before he moved on to the Jambos last summer. 'I am delighted for him,' Martindale proudly claimed. 'We signed James when we were in the Premiership. 'He was in the Championship with Partick Thistle and wasn't playing a lot of football. 'I'd had him on loan previously and I knew his mum and dad well. He comes from Livingston so it was relatively easy when we went back in to sign him permanently. ‌ 'James did really well for us and then moved to Hearts last year and now he looks to be going to AEK He deserves the move. 'He had a really, really strong season last year. It is something to look forward to and to watch him progress going forward. I think it's a testament to James' character. 'He's always had the ability but he has put in the hard work. He put in a shift at Livingston for a few years. ‌ 'The one thing about James is that he is very, very coachable and he's a good person.' Martindale reckons Penrice is an example of the gems that can be unearthed in the Championship and below. That is why he has gone out and signed the likes of Cammy Kerr, Zak Rudden and Connor McLennan. They were playing with Queen's Park and Ayr United, respectively, although all three have had previous top-flight experience. ‌ 'I think it's hard at times when you're looking at your budget and finances,' the Livi boss claimed. 'You are always looking to see if you can bring a better level of player in. I had James in the Championship with me, so I kind of knew a lot about him. So I think it's a hard one. 'We went for a few boys from the Scottish Championship because we had played against them last season. ‌ 'I think there's a lot to be said for bringing Scottish players into your changing room, because they know what's required on a weekly basis. That's kind of what I've tried to do in the last two to three seasons.' Martindale has also brought in Macaulay Tait, Graham Carey, Jannik Wanner, Mo Sylla and Stevie May. He wants to add another striker but reckons Livingston are returning to the Premiership in good shape. ‌ He explained: 'I think we've brought in the Premiership experience, which I think is vital. 'We've brought in players that are looking for the opportunity to play in the Premiership previously, but are looking to be back playing in the Premiership. Then we've kind of sprinkled that with a wee bit like the boy Yannick Wanner coming in. 'We've been pretty smart with our recruitment. We are maybe one light in an offensive area but we are in a good place.' ‌ Martindale is adamant that Livingston have one goal – to remain in the Premiership. 'It's just time to consolidate and try and stay in the league and see where it takes us,' he admitted. 'Celtic have always been a big spender, but Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen are paying decent transfer fees. 'I think the top five are really money getting put into their clubs. 'These clubs are realising they've got to put money in to compete with one another, which is making it harder for the boxing teams below that. 'The gap has got a wee bit bigger. That's why I was a big advocate for an extended league, to be honest. To make it a wee bit more competitive down the bottom end.'

Celtic pounced on transfer trend in post Covid era and it's part of why Euro giants now love Scottish players

The Hoops dipped into Japan for the same reason European football's big guns now love a Scot Bjorn Hamberg believes the fallout from the Covid pandemic has forced European big guns to make Scottish football 's market a must-go port of call. The former Feyenoord assistant boss has watched a host of clubs look for tartan talent after traditionally turning their nose up at recruiting talent from these shores. ‌ He said: 'It's great see Scottish players now making a mark at clubs across Europe. It's a relatively new frontier and the Covid pandemic has been a factor in that. ‌ 'Clubs had to reassess how to do business and run their recruitment departments at a more sustainable level. 'A lot of these clubs had to look deeper into different markets and Scotland has become one of them where value for money can be found. 'It's similar to what Celtic did with the Japanese market – and they did amazingly well. "It has been too easy to target proven footballers and players for the here-and-now. 'Scouting for talent is now about having a belief you can find quality footballers anywhere in the world. 'The trend for British players moving abroad is now well established with the likes of Jude Bellingham and Trent Alexander-Arnold being Real Madrid players. ‌ 'You look back and see David Beckham moving to AC Milan and PSG – at the time it seemed unbelievable. 'Now it's far more commonplace and Scottish players are part of that trend as the lines are far blurrier with moves from country to country in Europe. ‌ ' Lawrence Shankland moved to Beerschot in Belgium a few years ago and is now a Scotland striker. 'Moves like that are now routine. Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour have had an amazing season as title winners at Napoli. Josh Doig and Lewis Ferguson are doing well playing in Serie A.'
