The bike uses the softail chassis from the standard Fat Boy and features a Showa front fork and a hidden rear monoshock for a smooth ride.
Harley-Davidson has introduced the 2025 Fat Boy Gray Ghost, a limited-edition model that pays tribute to the original 1990 Fat Boy.
This bike shot to fame after its appearance in the action-packed film Terminator 2: Judgment Day. This special edition joins Harley-Davidson's Icons Motorcycle Collection, a line-up that revives legendary models using modern technology and design. Only 1,990 units of the Gray Ghost will be made globally, as per Autocar.
What sets the Gray Ghost apart is its highly reflective, mirror-like finish, achieved through a high-tech process called Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD). Unlike regular chrome, this finish offers stronger corrosion resistance and a much richer shine.
Furthermore, it also gets subtle yellow accents on the engine inserts, tank console, and trims – a stylish reference to the original 1990 model's design. The bike proudly retains the Fat Boy's signature silhouette, thanks to its round air cleaner, solid disc wheels, and wide front forks.
Powering the Gray Ghost is a 1,923cc V-twin engine that produces 101 bhp at 4,800rpm and a solid 166 Nm of torque at 3,000rpm. The bike uses the Softail chassis, the same as the standard Fat Boy, along with a Showa front fork and a hidden rear monoshock.
Other features include a low 655mm seat height, wide handlebars, and forward-set foot controls. The motorcycle also includes LED lights, a semi-digital display, and keyless ignition.
The 2025 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy Gray Ghost is priced at $25,399 (around Rs 21.2 lakh) in the US. While Harley-Davidson hasn't confirmed if it will launch in India, the extremely limited production suggests only a few might arrive via the Completely Built Unit (CBU) route.

Nearly 27,000 people died in national highway road accidents during Jan-June 2025, says Gadkari

As many as 26,770 people died in road accidents on the national highways across India in the first six months (January-June) of 2025. Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, on Wednesday has informed the Rajya Sabha that as many as 52,609 fatal accidents took place in 2024 on the national highways across the country. The union minister informed the Parliament that the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has installed the Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) on high traffic density national highways and national expressways such as Delhi-Meerut Expressway, Trans-Haryana, Eastern Peripheral Expressway, Delhi Mumbai Expressway, etc. "ATMS has provisions for various electronic enforcement devices which help in speedy identification of incidents on highway stretches and effectively monitor highways, thereby improving the response time of the on-site assistance," he said. Further, ATMS is also implemented as a standalone project in already constructed important corridors, he said. Responding to a separate question, the union minister said that road safety audit has been conducted for 112,561 km of national highways during the last three years. Road accidents are a major public health concern in India, with more than 450,000 reported accidents responsible for over 150,000 deaths in 2022. Every year, the country witnesses lakhs of road accidents, which result in the deaths of many people, while leaving a larger number of people wounded and often critically handicapped as well. Two-wheelers are often the most involved vehicles in fatal road accidents. Some of the key reasons behind the road accidents on national highways and national expressways include overspeeding, riding two-wheelers without helmets, etc. Pedestrians not using the proper underpasses or designated places for crossing the roads is also a major reason behind many road accidents. Ultraviolette F77 Gets Ballistic+ Upgrade, No Extra Cost For Owners

Last Updated: New 'Ballistic+' firmware brings sharper throttle, stronger torque, and a more thrilling ride without changing the hardware. Ultraviolette has launched a new performance update for its flagship electric motorcycle, the F77. Called the Gen3 Powertrain Firmware, this upgrade introduces the Ballistic+ mode, aimed at giving riders an even sharper and more exciting experience. The best part is it's free for all existing F77 owners, as per Autocar. This update comes after the F77 was launched in Europe, where riders tend to ride at higher speeds. That put extra pressure on the bike's systems. In response, Ultraviolette engineers tweaked the thermal performance of the motor and controller. The result? A bike that resists heat build-up better and delivers a stronger initial torque before any power drop happens. With Ballistic+, riders will notice a faster throttle response and a more engaging performance. The display will still show the top mode as 'Ballistic', but under the hood, things have definitely leveled up. However, key figures like the 40 bhp peak power and 100Nm of torque remain unchanged. The battery size stays the same – 7.1kWh for the F77 Mach 2 and 10.3kWh for the Mach 2 Recon. The claimed range figures are also unchanged. This firmware works across all F77 variants, thanks to the bike's smart Vehicle Control Unit (VCU), which processes over 3,000 data points in real-time. This allows the system to fine-tune the powertrain using just software — no hardware upgrade needed. view comments First Published: July 23, 2025, 08:04 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
