Ultraviolette F77 Gets Ballistic+ Upgrade, No Extra Cost For Owners
New 'Ballistic+' firmware brings sharper throttle, stronger torque, and a more thrilling ride without changing the hardware.
Ultraviolette has launched a new performance update for its flagship electric motorcycle, the F77.
Called the Gen3 Powertrain Firmware, this upgrade introduces the Ballistic+ mode, aimed at giving riders an even sharper and more exciting experience. The best part is it's free for all existing F77 owners, as per Autocar.
This update comes after the F77 was launched in Europe, where riders tend to ride at higher speeds. That put extra pressure on the bike's systems. In response, Ultraviolette engineers tweaked the thermal performance of the motor and controller. The result? A bike that resists heat build-up better and delivers a stronger initial torque before any power drop happens.
With Ballistic+, riders will notice a faster throttle response and a more engaging performance. The display will still show the top mode as 'Ballistic', but under the hood, things have definitely leveled up. However, key figures like the 40 bhp peak power and 100Nm of torque remain unchanged.
The battery size stays the same – 7.1kWh for the F77 Mach 2 and 10.3kWh for the Mach 2 Recon. The claimed range figures are also unchanged.
This firmware works across all F77 variants, thanks to the bike's smart Vehicle Control Unit (VCU), which processes over 3,000 data points in real-time. This allows the system to fine-tune the powertrain using just software — no hardware upgrade needed.

Andhra Pradesh CM Naidu invites Singapore entrepreneurs to invest in his state
Singapore, Jul 29 (PTI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has invited Singapore-based investors and entrepreneurs to participate in India's development drive and listed a wide range of projects planned and being implemented in his state. Addressing investors at the 'Andhra Pradesh – Singapore Business Forum and Partnership Summit Roadshow" on Monday, he highlighted a wide range of opportunities in the ongoing development of infrastructure such as ports and airports, and the creation of Quantum Valley in Amravati. Naidu said Andhra Pradesh would contribute 160 GW of green energy to India's target of 500 GW of green and clean energy by 2030. Addressing over 500 investors on the second day of his visit to the city state, the chief minister said an Arcelor Mittal steel plant and a Google operation centre are to be set up in Visakhapatnam. He categorically listed out the development of industrial corridors that are being led by Indian conglomerates, including Tata Group's Ratan Tata Innovation Hub. 'I am requesting Singapore entrepreneurs to participate in the development. We need more investments, and we need more and more entrepreneurs. We need your support for the development, and India is the best and a safe place for investment," Naidu said. At the event, he spoke widely about deep tech, electronics, semiconductors, green hydrogen, logistics, ports, airports, inland waterways, pharma, biotechnology and tourism. Omar Shazad, Group CEO of Singapore-based engineering company Meinhardt, which has over 100 projects in India, said, 'The chief minister's presentation at the roadshow was incredibly inspiring." 'There are a lot of opportunities for Singapore businesses to participate both in the infrastructure space and also the adjacent real estate development, industrial, as well as data centre," Omar told PTI. He noted that Naidu has clearly spelt out the different priorities and aspects that are going to come through in Amaravati, the futuristic city in Andhra Pradesh that the chief minister is ambitiously working on and is designed to mirror Singapore's urban and industrial development programmes. Toyota Drops BMW For Next-Gen Supra, Global Debut In 2027
The outgoing A90 Supra was powered by a 3.0-litre inline-six engine from BMW and shared its base with the Z4. Toyota is all set to roll out the sixth-generation Supra in 2027. But this time, the iconic sports car will be developed entirely in-house, unlike the current A90 model which was created in partnership with BMW, as per Best Car. The A90 Supra, which hit markets in 2019, borrowed its engine and platform from BMW's Z4. However, it proved to be a bigger hit than its German cousin. Reports say Toyota sold over 24,000 units in five years – nearly double that of the Z4. What's Under the Bonnet? The upcoming Supra is expected to feature a 2.0-litre turbocharged hybrid engine, built in-house by Toyota. With nearly 400 BHP and 500 Nm of torque, it promises an exciting mix of power and performance. Toyota is also planning to make this Supra more eco-friendly. Along with petrol, the engine might support carbon-neutral fuels. The hybrid setup will include a motor generator and a clutch, allowing the car to run solely on electric power when needed. Gearbox options haven't been confirmed yet, but Toyota could offer either a 10-speed or an 8-speed automatic transmission. What Else is Toyota Planning? Why Does It Matter? When Akio Toyoda boldly said, 'Supra is back" in 2019, it was more than just a car launch. It marked the return of one of Toyota's most beloved sports cars after 17 years. With this new version, Toyota is ready to reclaim the Supra's legendary status – this time, on its own terms. view comments First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
