During the event, Abdul Fattah Ghalab, the Public Mobilization Officer in the province, highlighted the negative effects and serious consequences of drug smuggling and trafficking, which threaten societal security, stability, and family integrity. He emphasized that the enemy seeks to flood Yemeni society with this scourge in an attempt to undermine its faith-based identity and Quranic culture. Ghalab praised the efforts of the Anti-Narcotics Department in apprehending those involved in the crimes of trafficking this dangerous substance, which harms public health, society, the economy, culture, and religion. For his part, the Head of the Appeals Court, Judge Sari Al-Ajili, stated that drug trafficking, smuggling, and promotion are serious crimes punishable by death or life imprisonment due to their severe threat to users' health, social cohesion, and the country's economy.
