Sky Sports are set to revive its iconic Sunday Supplement show, which was shelved in 2020 after a successful 20-year run.
Originally launched as Hold the Back Page in 1999, the programme featured sports journalists debating the week's top stories on Friday nights.
Under the guidance of the legendary Jimmy Hill, it transitioned to a Sunday morning slot, becoming a staple for discussing the latest news, results and rumours.
Following Hill's departure in 2007, Bill Bradshaw from the Daily Express and Brian Woolnough of the Daily Star stepped in as hosts. Neil Ashton later assumed the role before Jacqui Oatley made history as the show's first female presenter in 2020. However, the same year saw the show axed amid a packed Sky Sports timetable.
A spokesperson for Sky explained at the time: "The huge volume of live football since the restart and a condensed season that has already begun means we must look at how best to deploy our resources for the benefit of our customers."
Despite this, the Daily Mail reports that a refreshed version of the show is on the horizon, with plans to launch before the 2025/26 Premier League season kicks off. An official announcement is anticipated in the coming weeks.

The new iteration is expected to bear a different title but will likely retain the familiar format, featuring experts dissecting the major talking points of the week, reports the Mirror.
The cancellation of Sunday Supplement was part of a significant revamp at the network. Later in 2020, Sky revealed that both The Debate and Goals on Sunday would no longer grace our televisions.

Goals on Sunday had been a staple since 2000, enjoying a two-decade run. Chris Kamara, a Sky stalwart and ex-midfielder for Swindon Town and Brentford, hosted the show alongside Ben Shepherd, where they entertained high-profile guests weekly. Alex Scott and Laura Woods also featured as presenters during its tenure.
Jeff Stelling, another former Sky Sports luminary, remains puzzled over the decision to cancel the show and the subsequent redeployment of Kamara to cover lower-tier football before his eventual departure from Sky in 2022.
"From out of nowhere, it all began to go wrong for Kammy," Stelling reflects in his autobiography, Saturday Afternoon Fever. "Sky axed Goals on Sunday, though to this day, I don't understand why.

"They certainly had nothing to replace it with. They kept the name alive for a segment shown on Sky Sports News, but it bears no resemblance to the original.
"Previously, Kammy would always have been at the biggest in-vision game of the weekend, but now he found himself being sent to Championship or League One fixtures. He covered them with the same enthusiasm as he covered every game."
Soccer AM was also discontinued in 2023 to much backlash after a 28-year run, following a decline in its regular viewership.

Rangers have completed the loan signing of Tottenham Hotspur's teenage forward Mikey Moore for the 2025/26 season. Moore, 17, is regarded as one of English football's most exciting prospects after making the breakthrough at senior level with Spurs last season under Ange Postecoglou. He made 19 first-team appearances for the north London side, but new head coach Thomas Frank believes a loan move will best suit his development and Rangers have won the race for his signature. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Moore is capable of playing all across the front line, but is expected to be used predominantly as a winger by Rangers head coach Russell Martin. Moore becomes Rangers' eighth summer signing, following Max Aarons, Emmanuel Fernandez, Nasser Djiga, Joe Rothwell, Lyall Cameron, Thelo Aasgaard and Djeidi Gassama through the Ibrox door. Moore revealed that as soon as he heard of Rangers' interest, he wanted to join the club. 'I'm excited to get going,' he told the Rangers website. 'As soon as I heard Rangers were interested and wanted me to come, it was a massive opportunity for me. I'm excited to be here and hopefully I can show the fans and everyone what I can do. I think with the new boss and the way that we play, it's a great place to be at the minute. It was a pretty easy decision for me to come here.' Speaking on the loan deal for Moore, Martin said: 'We are thrilled to bring Mikey on loan for this season. His profile as a brave, aggressive attacking player is one that we were keen to add to the squad, and he is certainly a player who, despite his age, can make an impact on the team from day one. 'He is a player with huge potential, and it is testament to his quality that he has been entrusted by Spurs in both the Premier League and UEFA Europa League with such regularity over the last 18 months.' What Spurs had to say on the move A statement on the Tottenham website read: 'Mikey Moore has joined Rangers on loan for the 2025/26 campaign. 'Having joined us as a seven-year-old, the forward progressed through our ranks to help our Under-17 and Under-18 teams secure the Premier League Cup double in 2022/23. Russell Martin will take charge of his first domestic match as Rangers manager when his side travel to Motherwell for their William Hill Premiership season opener on Saturday. Rangers were in Greece during the week for their Champions League second qualifying round second leg fixture against Panathinaikos, where a goal from substitute Djiedi Gassama secured a 1-1 draw which ensured progression to the next round with a 3-1 aggregate scoreline following the 2-0 victory in the first leg at Ibrox the previous week. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Martin will now pit his wits against Scottish opposition for the first time in the shape of a Motherwell side who are already four matches into their own season having safely negotiated the Premier Sports Cup group stages to reach the knockout phase. The Steelmen started their campaign ignominiously with a 2-2 draw against Clyde - winning the subsequent penalty shoot-out - but went on to collect 11 points from a possible 12 with victories over Peterhead, Stenhousemuir and Morton. The Fir Park showdown will see Martin come up against his former Norwich team-mate with Motherwell having also appointed a new manager this summer in the shape of Jens Berthel Askou following the shock departure of Michael Wimmer in May after just 12 matches in charge. Martin will attempt to do what Rangers failed to in each of the past two seasons under Michael Beale and Philippe Clement - win their opening league match. Chris Sutton fillets a Rangers 'disgrace' and claims 'rank rotten' flops triggered raging Russell Martin
Sutton was miffed by skipper James Tavernier's stock answers after Emmanuel Longelo's late leveller Astonished Chris Sutton was taken aback by Russell Martin's machine gun rant aimed at his own Rangers players on the first day of the season. And the Celtic legend reckons the boss must think his current first team squad is "rank rotten" after Martin went nuclear on their application, reverting to type and claiming an element of the players have an ego in the immediate aftermath of Saturday's 1-1 draw with Motherwell. Sutton was equally miffed by skipper James Tavernier's stock answers after Emmanuel Longelo's late leveller cancelled out the captain's header from the first half. Speaking to Sky Sports, Sutton said: "He's gone very early with this (nuclear rant). It's a bit desperate, first game of the season, just sort of easing himself in, to absolutely machine gun the dressing room in the way that he did. "For him to do that on the first day of the season... He sees them everyday in training, he must think they are rank rotten. He must do, because why wouldn't there be a bit more balance? "I don't know what's going on at training, I don't know, when have you ever seen a manager come out and fillet a team? We all think he's right, by the way, but when have you ever seen a manager do that after the first game of the season?" Sutton didn't miss a misfiring Rangers side as he branded Kieran Dowell a "disgrace" for his meek tackle seconds before Longelo hit the net. Danilo earning a start ahead of Cyriel Dessers was also met with contempt by Sutton and fellow pundits Kris Boyd and James McFadden.
