Crash on pedestrian-heavy main strip in Tennessee tourist town of Gatlinburg injures 7
The accident occurred at about 4:20 p.m., when a minivan travelling through the middle of the pedestrian-heavy downtown area accelerated unexpectedly, striking a person in a crosswalk before colliding with several other vehicles, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol. One of the struck vehicles hit a roadside sign that fell and injured a second pedestrian. Five other people inside two different vehicles were injured as well.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating, and early indications suggest the accident may have been caused by a medical emergency, according to the agency.
Gatlinburg is located the mountains of East Tennessee. It sits between the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the country's most visited national park, and Pigeon Forge, home of Dollywood.

Authorities searching for a man wanted in the murders of the parents, grandmother and uncle of an infant found alive in Tennessee have charged two other men in connection with the killings. Ukraine drone attack sparks fire at Sochi oil depot, Russian authorities say
DSNS Ukraine A massive oil depot fire raging near Russia's Black Sea resort of Sochi has been blamed by Russian authorities on a Ukrainian drone attack. Krasnodar Region Governor Veniamin Kondratyev said on Telegram that drone debris hit a fuel tank and 127 firefighters were tackling the blaze. The airport near Sochi - where the 2014 Winter Olympic Games took place - briefly suspended flights. Meanwhile, a Russian missile strike destroyed homes and civilian infrastructure in Ukraine's southern city of Mykolaiv, local officials say. At least seven civilians were reported injured in the city, which has been repeatedly shelled by Russian forces. Ukraine's State Emergency Service said three of the wounded were being treated in hospital. Russian authorities said the drone attack on the Sochi refinery was one of several launched by Ukraine over the weekend, targeting installations in the southern Russian cities of Ryazan, Penza and Voronezh. Tennessee: Man tries to detonate 14 explosive devices while being arrested
Police in Tennessee have discovered 14 improvised explosive devices in a man's home as they were arresting him, the local sheriff's office said. Officers were executing a warrant in the home of Kevin Wade O'Neal in Old Fort, about 45 miles (70km) east of Chattanooga, after he had threatened to kill public officials and law enforcement personnel in Polk County. After arresting the 54-year-old, officers noticed "something smouldering" in the bedroom where he was found. On closer inspection, they discovered an improvised explosive device and evacuated the house until bomb squad officers arrived at the scene. Fourteen devices were found inside the property - none of which detonated. O'Neal was charged with 11 counts of attempted first-degree murder, corresponding to nine officers and two other people inside the property when the suspect tried to detonate the devices. He also faces 14 counts of prohibited weapons and one count of possession of explosive components.
