The agent, realising he was being robbed, drew his own weapon. A shootout followed. The agent was shot in the face and forearm, while the gunman was also injured. Both suspects fled the scene. He was apprehended at the Border in April 2023 but, instead of being deported, was RELEASED. Commissioner Tisch said Mora is in the U.S. illegally, having crossed the border through Arizona in 2023. He has a criminal history, including two domestic violence arrests, an active warrant for missing a court date, and is wanted for a robbery in December 2024 and a stabbing in January 2025.
