Alycia Baumgardner (15-1-1 with seven KOs) turned pro in 2017. Twelve fights into her professional career, she became the WBC and IBO super featherweight champion when she knocked out Terri Harper in the fourth round. Baumgardner added the WBO, IBF and The Ring titles to her trophy shelf in 2022 when she scored a split decision win over Mikaela Mayer. She has defended her titles twice, beating Elhem Mekhaled and Christina Linardatou by decision in 2023. In 2024, Baumgardner and Delfine Persoon fought to a no contest. That bout ended after a head clash in the fourth round opened a cut over Persoon's right eye.
Jennifer Miranda (12-0-0 with one KO) made her pro debut in 2018. Miranda won the WBA interim super featherweight championship in October with a decision over Teresa Almengor. She has not fought outside of Spain during her career.
ESPN has Baumgardner ranked as the No. 1 130-pound fighter, while Miranda is ranked at No. 5.

Savannah Marshall (13-1-0 with 10 KOs) and Shadasia Green (15-1-0 with 11 KOs) have combined for 21 career knockout wins.
Marshall is a former undisputed super middleweight champion. Her only career loss came in October 2022 when Claressa Shields beat her by unanimous decision. Marshall bounced back from that setback with a July 2023 decision win over Franchón Crews-Dezurn. She has not fought since that victory.
Like Marshall, Green only has one career defeat, dropping a decision to Crews-Dezurn in December 2023. She is 2-0 since that loss and coming off a split decision win over Melinda Watpool in November 2024 for the vacant WBO super-middleweight title.
Marshall was removed from ESPN's latest rankings because of inactivity. Green is the No. 2 168-pound competitor.

Ellie Scotney is a perfect 10-0 (zero knockouts) heading into Friday's fight card. The 27-year-old made her pro debut in 2020. Scotney won her first title in 2023 when she scored a unanimous decision win over Cherneka Johnson. In April 2024, Scotney added the WBO title to her trophy case with a decision victory over Ségolène Lefebvre. In her most recent outing, Scotney defended her titles with a decision over Mea Motu. That bout took place in January of this year.
Yamileth Mercado (24-3-0 with five knockouts) is riding a six-fight winning streak heading into the Taylor vs. Serrano 3 fight card. The 27-year-old has been competing in title fights since 2018 when she lost a split decision to Fatuma Zarika for the WBC super bantamweight belt.
In 2019, Mercado avenged that loss to Zarika, beating her by decision and taking her title. Mercado defended that crown twice before losing to Amanda Serrano in August 2021 in pursuit of Serrano's WBC, WBO, and IBO featherweight titles.
Following the loss to Serrano, Mercado went back to competing at super bantamweight. She has defended her title four times since the Serrano fight, most recently beating Ramla Ali in June 2024.
ESPN has Scotney ranked at No. 1 in the 122-pound division, while Mercado is No. 2.

In June 2023, Ellie Scotney took the belt from Johnson. Johnson bounced back from that setback with a May 2024 majority decision win over Nina Hughes to win the WBA bantamweight belt. She defended that title in March of this year, scoring a knockout over Hughes in their rematch.
Shurretta Metcalf (14-4-1-1 with two knockouts) has been a pro since 2016. She did not win her first title until November 2023, when she bested Miyo Yoshida to claim the vacant IBF inter-continental title. In her October 2024 rematch opposite Yoshida, Metcalf won the IBF bantamweight belt.
Johnson is the No. 2 fighter at 118 pounds according to ESPN, while Metcalf is No. 3.

A former undisputed light-welterweight champion, Chantelle Cameron (20-1-0 with eight knockouts) has been a pro since 2017. Cameron won her first title in 2017, when she became the IBF lightweight champ.
Cameron began collecting light welterweight belts in 2020. She became the undisputed champ in the weight class in 2022 with a decision win over Jessica McCaskill. Cameron's run as the undisputed champ ended in November 2023 when Katie Taylor beat her by majority decision.
Since her loss to Taylor, Cameron is 2-0, winning and defending the WBC interim junior welterweight title.
Jessica Camara (14-4-1 with three knockouts) has been a pro since 2017. In 2021, Camara lost to Kali Reis via split decision in pursuit of becoming the WBA, IBO and WBO light welterweight champ. She is coming off a technical draw to Caroline Dubois in January. That fight ended at the start of the third round when doctors stopped the bout after Camara suffered a cut from an accidental clash of heads. Dubois's WBC and IBO lightweight belts were up for grabs that night.
Cameron is ranked behind Taylor and Serrano at 140 pounds, while Camara is unranked.

The fight will be the first women's fight to headline Madison Square Garden. (Photo by)
"We're going to go out there and we're going to put it all on the line this fight so you're going to see who the true champion is July 11," Serrano said at the pre-fight press conference.
"(Taylor) has to prove to everybody and to herself that she beat me convincingly, both those fights, and I need to go out there and prove to those judges, like, 'Come on, what are you watching?'"
"If you look at the fights you can clearly see that I won those fights," said Taylor. "It's really, really insane that she thinks she won those fights."
The fight, which headlines an all-women's card is currently scheduled to be contested over 10 two minute rounds, something that Serrano was not happy with.
"First of all, we shook on it," Serrano said of the fight being three minute rounds. "She didn't agree when we went to sign the contract."
"I think as a matter of principle that the challenger shouldn't be dictating the terms of the fight," Taylor said in reply. "I am 2-0 here and I'm in the driver's seat here and that's only right. At the end of the day Amanda needs this fight a lot more than I do. I have a long history of big fights against big names and a line of people queuing up to fight me for the payday."
Katie Taylor Vs. Amanda Serrano 3 Opening Odds And Line Movement
When the betting line opened for the third fight between Taylor and Serrano, Taylor was the -146 betting favorite over Serrano, who came in as the +114 betting underdog. Those odds have flipped. Today, Taylor is the +128 underdog, while Serrano sits as the -165 favorite.

"Our styles will always make it an exciting fight. Our first two fights were Fight of the Year contenders, and I am hoping this fight is as exciting," Taylor told Fox News. "Just for my own sake, I am hoping I can beat her a bit more easily. But just to showcase female fight night at its best, it's huge for the sport. It is going to be an amazing moment for women's sports on that night."
"I definitely don't need to do this — she definitely needs this fight a lot more than I do," Taylor added.
"I just want to be involved in the biggest fights possible. I realized after the second fight this still was the biggest fight in women's boxing," Taylor continued. "And to fight live on Netflix and have a chance to headline it again, this is going to be another historic night. So it is huge, and I feel like fights are getting bigger and bigger at this stage.
'I didn't think it was possible after the first fight, but then here we are a couple of years later. The last few fights have been bigger and bigger, and I feel like this one on July 11 is even bigger than last time.'
We will have more on the Taylor Vs. Serrano 3 fight card, including updated betting odds, as fight night approaches. On fight night, we will have results, reactions and highlights for the full Taylor Vs. Serrano 3 fight card.

Chicago Sky Coach Had Four Words for Angel Reese on Sunday
Chicago Sky Coach Had Four Words for Angel Reese on Sunday originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky are back in action on Sunday in a tough road game against the league-best Minnesota Lynx. Chicago is looking to make it back-to-back wins after their 92-85 win over the Los Angeles Sparks in their last game, but it's going to be an undeniably challenging test for them against Napheesa Collier and Co. Advertisement Reese, however, received some big news before the game. This came in the form of the 23-year-old being named an All-Star reserve for a second consecutive year. This development came behind Reese being the driving force for the Sky this season, with averages of 12.4 points, 12.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.8 steals heading into Sunday's contest against Minnesota. Chicago Sky coach Tyler Marsh caught wind of the news and wasted no time congratulating her star forward. The first-year shot-caller had four words for Reese via Instagram. "Yes ma'am! Congrats 5!" he posted, sharing the Sky's announcement on Reese's All-Star nod. Advertisement Marsh deserves at least some credit for Reese's All-Star selection. The Sky are far from the best team in the WNBA right now — they enter Sunday's game against the Lynx with a 5-11 record and 12th in the league — but the fact that Reese has still been able to shine for Chicago has to count for something. Chicago Sky star Angel Reese at the WNBA All-Star game.© Mark J. Rebilas-Imagn Images Reese will be the Sky's only representative for the upcoming WNBA All-Star Game in Indianapolis on July 19. It is worth noting that, depending on how All-Star captain Caitlin Clark drafts her squad, Reese and Clark could be on the same team yet again for a second consecutive year. Paul Finebaum Reveals He's 'Losing Patience' with Some SEC Coaches
Paul Finebaum Reveals He's 'Losing Patience' with Some SEC Coaches originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The SEC spring meetings have come and gone, and there is still no decision on whether the conference will adopt a nine-game conference schedule, similar to the Big Ten and Big 12. Currently, both the SEC and ACC have an eight-game conference slate. Advertisement However, after adding the Oklahoma Sooners and the Texas Longhorns, it seemed likely that the SEC would soon shift to a nine-game schedule. With so many teams in the league now, this change would ensure that certain rivalries continue. Additionally, because the OU-Texas game is held at a neutral site, it would guarantee the Sooners and Longhorns both receive four home and away conference games. Under the current eight-game format, depending on which team is the home team at the Cotton Bowl, that team would only get three true home games compared to four road games in conference play. The same is said for the neutral site game between the Georgia Bulldogs and the Florida Gators. Last season, the Bulldogs were the home team, so they only got three true home games in conference. On "The Paul Finebaum Show," the SEC Network analyst expressed his dissatisfaction with SEC coaches who have voiced their opposition to the move to a nine-game schedule. Advertisement Texas Longhorns defensive back Derek Williams Jr. (2) recovers a fumble against the Oklahoma Sooners at the Cotton Dieb-Imagn Images "I'm losing patience with some of the coaches in this league," Finebaum said. "I think the SEC is long overdue to go to nine. They're reluctant to for legitimate reasons. The commissioner said to us four weeks ago, he's in favor of nine. I think ultimately they will get there. But I am not convinced they will get there in time for the first year of this 2026 playoff." Finebaum previously stated that although he believes the conference will eventually adopt a nine-game schedule, it is no longer as certain as it once seemed. He expressed concern that significant rivalries, such as the Alabama Crimson Tide against the Tennessee Volunteers, might diminish if scheduling does not change. Finebaum suggested that some schools are resisting this change because they want to maximize their chances of making the College Football Playoff. There is worry that adding another conference game could negatively impact those chances. Advertisement However, he argues that if a school is strong enough, the potential expansion of the CFP to 16 teams — something that could happen soon, would make it difficult for competitive teams to miss out on postseason play. While it remains unclear when SEC schools will vote on the nine-game proposal, it is expected to occur later this year, with potential implementation as early as 2026. However, no official date has been announced. Is Russell Westbrook on in Denver? Patrick Beverley weighs in
Russell Westbrook is back on the free-agent market after declining his player option with the Denver Nuggets. Though a return to Denver seemed possible at first, it now looks like the door has closed. The former MVP played in 75 games for the Nuggets last season, starting 36 of them. He averaged 13.3 points, 4.9 rebounds and 6.1 assists while serving as a high-energy contributor off the bench. But Denver's recent moves suggest the team is headed in a different direction. Advertisement MORE: Bronny James dazzles with big dunk in blowout win over Heat The Nuggets have added Tim Hardaway Jr. and brought back Bruce Brown, both of whom are expected to strengthen the team's bench unit. According to multiple reports, including ESPN's Shams Charania, those additions leave little room for a Westbrook reunion. Beverley Says Nuggets Prioritized Shooting Over Westbrook During a recent episode of the 'Pat Bev Podcast' from Barstool Sports, Patrick Beverley shared his thoughts on Denver's offseason decisions. Co-host Adam 'Rone' Ferrone suggested the Nuggets have moved on from Westbrook by bringing in more reliable perimeter threats. 'That move is gonna have them getting off of Russ,' Ferrone said. 'The Kings are making a big push for Russ, but that leaves a divot in Denver's backup point guard rotation.' Beverley agreed with the take, adding: 'When you add some shooting around [Nikola Jokic] like they have with Tim Hardaway Jr. and Bruce Brown... I think Tim Hardaway Jr. is gonna light that place up.' The comment came from someone with a long and complex history with Westbrook. Beverley and Westbrook famously clashed during the 2013 playoffs, but they later became teammates on the Lakers and publicly ended their feud. Despite that rocky past, Beverley has often praised Westbrook's leadership and toughness. Advertisement Still, Beverley sees the logic in Denver's choice to focus on shooting. The Nuggets rely heavily on Jokic's playmaking, and spacing has always been key to unlocking his full offensive potential. With the Nuggets shifting focus, Westbrook's next destination remains unclear. The Sacramento Kings are rumored to have interest, but there's been no official word on where the veteran point guard will land. For now, Westbrook waits, while the Nuggets move forward with a backcourt built around shooting and depth. More NBA News:
