Kyogo insists he has NO regrets over Celtic exit as he opens up on troubled Rennes spell

HOOPS hero Kyogo Furuhashi recently joined up with English side Birmingham City, and has now spoken to the club and fans there for the first time.
The Celtic favourite left Glasgow in January for French side Rennes but had a torrid time, exiting the club after just six months.

Now Kyogo's hoping to once again find the form and enjoyment that made him so popular at Parkhead with the newly promoted and high-flying Blues in the English Championship.
He told Blues+: 'I'm very happy to be here. I'm looking forward to working together with you all.
'I get fired up more in bigger games, but I score goals because of team-mates, so I'm grateful for that. I'd like to achieve the same here, and hopefully my goals will make everyone happy.
'I have good memories (from Celtic) with lots of titles, so it was a wonderful three and a half, four years. Lots of fans still say hello to me, so I felt I was really lucky.
"But this is a new place, and I'd like to do my best here.
'I'm here to help the team. I'd like to express what I can do on the pitch.
'I don't want to talk a lot, but there's a chance that we can go up to the Premier League. We all want to aim for that and after nine months, it will be great if we share the happiness of achieving that.
"There might be more pressure, but we will enjoy playing together on the pitch and fighting.
"Honestly I'm introvert and shy but if it makes everyone happy I'll do what I can outside the pitch.
"But on the pitch, I'd like to be a player to lead the team."

On his troubled spell in France, he added: "It was a difficult time for me, but I don't have any regrets going there.
"I've gained some experience, so I'd like to use that here."
And he's got not just a fellow countryman but a former Hoops teammate there with him to help him settle in.
He said: "I'm happy to be able to play with Tomoki [Iwata] again, and he said the same too. So we'd like to aim to be in the Premier League together.
"Everyone wants to play for the national team and it's the same for any country. I'd like to be in it and aspire to go to the World Cup."
