Daniel Craig's best James Bond movie is available to stream on ITV now

A James Bond movie starring Daniel Craig that has been described as the most 'visually stunning' in the franchise is now available to stream on a major UK platform. In what is a huge win for devoted 007 fans, Skyfall has arrived on ITVX more than a decade after its release in 2012. Starring Javier Barden, Judie Dench and Ralph Fiennes, the thriller was a smash hit amongst fans and critics. It was also the third of Craig's performances, directed by Oscar-winning director Sam Mendes, who is known for 1917 and American Beauty, and shot by Roger Deakins. Taking to social media, @CinemaTweets1 said: 'Javier Bardem's performance as Raoul Silva is my favorite James Bond villain ever. Skyfall honestly feels like a stand-alone film or outlier from the rest of the Bond series given the creative decisions made by Sam Mendes. Bardem is also a big reason- he's a worthy adversary.' @BestMovieMom added: 'Skyfall will remain the most visually stunning James Bond film for a long time.' @Danimalish also said: 'Whenever I watch SKYFALL I'm convinced I'm watching the best James Bond film. 'From Daniel Craig's steely performance to the incredible supporting cast including Judi Dench, to of course Roger Deakins' immaculate cinematography. This was the peak of the Daniel Craig era.' Meanwhile, @TheCinesthetic wrote: 'As the third film in Craig's run, Skyfall isn't just a great Bond film…it's a visual triumph. Roger Deakins turned espionage into art.' The film follows Bond as he pursues an assassin in Istanbul to retrieve a stolen list containing the identities of undercover agents. However, the plan goes disastrously wrong, leaving Chief M (Dench) forced to take drastic action. The espionage thriller was nominated for five Oscars and went on to claim two of them for Best Sound Editing and Best Original Song, which was given to Adele. Its move on to ITVX comes as ITV dropped all episodes of a gripping crime thriller that fans hailed as 'phenomenal'. The tense eight-episode drama, Under the Bridge, has finally landed on ITV for viewers to watch for free in the UK, and you are in for an emotional rollercoaster. The 2024 series stars Oscar nominee Lily Gladstone opposite Daisy Jones and the Six actor Riley Keough. More Trending Elsewhere in the James Bond universe, Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight was named as the screenwriter for the latest Bond film. Amazon MGM onfirmed on social media on Thursday night that Knight will pen the script for the next instalment. The announcement follows an intensive search by Amazon MGM, which gained full creative control of the Bond series earlier this year from Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson. Skyfall is available to watch on ITVX. Got a story? Martyn Latchman, 38, flew to Istanbul to have a five-hour operation on Monday at Dr. Cinik's clinic in the city's Besiktas district. He is said to have suffered complications while undergoing the hair transplant procedure. His body was later taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy before being repatriated to the UK. Police have launched a probe, treating the case as a possible 'reckless homicide'. Staff at the clinic — including the surgeon who performed the hair transplant, the anaesthesiologist and nurses — have already been quizzed by officers, it is understood. An FCDO spokesperson told The Sun: "We are supporting the family of a British man who died in Turkey and are in contact with the local authorities." Tributes are now pouring in from friends and family for Mr Latchman, whose body has since been flown home. Yashley Latchman posted a picture of keen athlete Mr Latchman on Facebook with the pair working out in a gym. The caption read: "Rest in peace my brother. You will forever be my source of inspiration and motivation. "Thanks for everything. We will miss you loads." Love Island's Ben reveals hair transplant at just 22 years old with before and after video Other family members turned their profiles black in a sign of mourning for Mr Latchman, who was originally from Bridgend but lived in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. According to Dr Cinik Clinic's website, it has treated "more than 50,000 patients" since setting up almost 20 years ago. The website says the clinic has "cutting-edge technology" and is a "centre of excellence in this specialised field". It adds: "Every patient gets personalised care in English, plus access to cutting-edge techniques. "The combination of surgical experience and patient support has made him the go-to specialist for people worldwide." 5 Brit underwent a five-hour operation at the Dr Clinik's clinic (pictured) The tragedy comes amid a boom in 'medical tourism' to Turkey, which now accounts for nearly 60 per cent of the global hair transplant market thanks to its cheaper, high-quality procedures. Turkish Healthcare Travel Council says more than one million people travel to the country each year for hair restoration treatments. According to Dr. Serkan Aygin Clinic, numbers are expected to climb to 1.1 million in 2025, the Daily Mail reports. It follows the shocking death of 58-year-old British mum Anne Towlson, who passed away last year after a botched cosmetic surgery trip to Istanbul. Mrs Towlson, from Leicestershire, had flown to Turkey in April 2024 for a pre-planned tummy tuck and liposuction at Green Park Hospital in Pendik. When she arrived, doctors persuaded her to also undergo an arm tuck in a 'last-minute decision', her inquest heard. But she quickly developed alarming complications. BOTCHED OP Meanwhile, a British man was left scarred and with bald patches after a botched hair transplant in Istanbul. Luke Horsfield, then 26, paid £1,250 for the surgery at the Clinic Centre — around half the cost of a UK procedure — but said the results were disastrous. 'I did everything they told me to do as aftercare once I had the operation. But after four months, I saw literally no growth,' the IT technician from Bradford said. 'I was left with scars and bald patches.' Luke claimed the surgeons barely spoke English and had removed too many follicles from the back of his head, leaving him worse off than before. Despite the clinic's promise of 'transplant after care', he said he struggled to get hold of anyone once the operation was over. After months of disappointment, the clinic eventually offered him a £400 refund — barely a third of what he had paid — and a second procedure at half price. Luke later had the damage repaired at a Yorkshire clinic.

Moment Spider-Man film crews perform tank stunt on streets of Glasgow

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) MOVIE lovers were in for a treat as film crews performed a tank stunt for the new Spider-Man flick on the streets of Glasgow. Bothwell Street in the city centre has been transformed into downtown New York for the latest instalment of the masked web-slinger's story. Crews working on the big-budget Marvel movie spent the sunny Saturday prepping an intense stunt involving a TANK. Several of the armoured vehicles being used for the movie have been parked along the street. One of them was set up with a huge scaffolding structure around it for stunt doubles to be harnessed in and attached to cables allowing them to perform the iconic flips and jumps Spidey is well-known for. But the stunt that had the public stopping in their tracks was a chase scene which saw cars thrown into the air. A huge crowd lined the bottom of Bothwell Street as the stunt was prepared. There was a sense of excitement as location crews ushered onlookers behind barriers and told them the stunt was about to start. When the director could be heard yelling action, a black film car raced ahead of the tank as it rumbled down Bothwell Street. A taxi and a van attached to hydraulic ramps were thrown into the air as the war machine sped past, with punters gasping in excitement as the vehicles were left suspended in the air. A high-tech drone with a camera attached was zooming overhead to get aerial shots of the stunt. There were some cheers and applause after the stunt ended, bringing some excitement to both movie fans and people going about their day. In later scenes, a stunt double for Tom Holland was spotted on top of the tank as it sped along the street. Glasgow is starting to resemble the Big Apple for Tom Holland's latest MCU appearance. Historic street signs have been covered with decor from Manhattan. Hot dog carts and newsstands are scattered among the streets. American adverts for flats to rent and insurance firms are even plastered over buildings on the street. 8 Tom Holland's stunt double Credit: Splash 8 NYPD cars are being stored on West Campbell Street Credit: John Kirkby 8 Rows of iconic New York yellow cabs have been brought in for the movie Credit: John Kirkby 8 Glasgow has been transformed into New York Credit: John Kirkby Movie vehicles are also being stored on West Campbell Street. The road is lined with an ambulance and New York Fire Department pick-up truck. There are also scores of iconic New York yellow taxis and NYPD police cars. It has brought movie-fever to Glasgow once again, with some punters dressed as Spider-Man putting in an appearance. Holland, 29, returns as the titular character, with real-life girlfriend Zendaya, 28, as Michelle Jones "MJ" Watson, Jon Berntha, 48, portraying The Punisher, and Charlie Cox, 42, as Daredevil. Filming is set to move further along into Merchant City after Wednesday, August 13, with scenes are also expected to be shot on Glassford Street and Virginia Street. It is just the latest lot of filming taking place in Glasgow. Earlier this year, Hollywood hunk Glen Powell filmed scenes for sci-fi flick Ghost Writer on Bothwell Street. It is his second time in the city in a year, as he filmed on the exact same street for the remake of 80's hit Running Man in November. World War Z, which starred Brad Pitt, 61, previously used George Square to represent Philadelphia, while the city was also transformed into Gotham City for Batgirl and The Batman. And the Merchant City got turned into 1960's New York for a parade chase scene in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.
