MotoGP Rookies Cup RD3: Hakim Danish bent on repeating 2024 success
According to Muhammad Hakim Danish, he regards the circuit as iconic since he won the second race of the same race last season.
In fact, he said, he also wants to make up for his disappointment after failing to get a podium finish in both races of the second round of the FIM JuniorGP World Championship at the Jerez Circuit ast week.
'After finishing the second round of the FIM JuniorGP race in Jerez, I went straight to Barcelona to undergo training and prepare for the MotoGP race of the Rookies Cup this week.
'There are many facets I need to improve on from last week's race, especially in the qualifying session. However, I feel confident to race at the Aragon circuit and hope that all fans and family can pray for my success,' he said in a statement today.
For the record, Muhammad Hakim Danish is currently leading the overall MotoGP Rookies Cup standings with 80 points, ahead of Spanish rider Benat Fernandez in second place with a difference of 23 points.
Another main contender, Brian Uriarte who is also from Spain, is in third place 30 points behind.

Marc Marquez cruises to win bruising German MotoGP
SACHSENRING: Marc Marquez won a bruising German MotoGP today to mark his 200th premier class start in style and stretch his lead in the world championship. His brother Alex Marquez took second with Francesco Bagnaia third as only 10 riders finished, the lowest number completing a MotoGP since 2011. While the rest of the grid struggled to remain on their bikes at this notoriously tricky Sachsenring track, Marc Marquez enjoyed a dream afternoon. Setting off from pole he was never challenged, crossing the line over six seconds clear for his seventh perfect weekend of 2025 having also won Saturday's sprint. At the midway stage of the 22-race campaign Marquez leads brother Alex by 83 points in the riders' standings, with his Ducati factory teammate Bagnaia a yawning 147 off the lead. For Marquez this was his seventh race win of the year and fourth on the trot as he tightens his grip on a seventh MotoGP world title to draw level with the legendary Valentino Rossi. Despite sunshine taking over from Saturday's rain, the race proved one of the most attritional in years with eight riders crashing and two unable to take part after coming a cropper on Saturday. The last time only 10 riders completed a MotoGP was in Australia, 14 years ago. - AFP

Motorcycling-Marc Marquez reigns supreme to win German GP after only 10 riders finish
MotoGP - German Grand Prix - Sachsenring, Hohenstein-Ernstthal, Germany - July 13, 2025 Ducati Lenovo Team's Marc Marquez celebrates winning the German Grand Prix REUTERS/Lisi Niesner HOHENSTEIN-ERNSTTHAL, Germany (Reuters) -Marc Marquez proved once again why he is known as the 'King of Sachsenring' when the Ducati rider marked his 200th MotoGP start by winning the German Grand Prix on Sunday in a race where only 10 riders finished. Marquez's ninth MotoGP victory at the Sachsenring stretched his championship lead over brother Alex, who finished second, to 83 points while Marc's teammate Francesco Bagnaia finished third. Alex had started fifth on the grid and took second in his 100th MotoGP start despite still recovering from a fractured hand he suffered at the Dutch Grand Prix two weeks ago which required surgery. Several riders crashed over the course of the race, especially at turn one -- including VR46 Racing's Fabio Di Giannantonio and Aprilia's Marco Bezzecchi when they were in second place. Marc Marquez battles back to win German MotoGP sprint
SACHSENRING, Germany: Marc Marquez overcame a first turn mistake to land the German MotoGP sprint race on the final lap at a slippery Sachsenring on Saturday. The runaway championship leader started on pole but the Ducati factory rider went wide at the first corner to drop back to fifth, with Marco Bezzecchi inheriting the lead. On lap three Franco Morbidelli suffered a bone-crunching crash at turn eight, the Ducati VR46 rider somersaulting through through the air before landing on the gravel safety run-off area. With 10 laps to go Marquez had crept up into third as Bezzecchi (Aprilia) led by over one second from Fabio Quartararo, Yamaha's former champion who had set off from the third row of the grid. He then went in pursuit of Bezzecchi, hitting the front on the final lap to pull clear and leave the Italian in his wake, Quartararo hanging on for third. "I made a mistake on the exit of turn one, then I lost some positions, but step by step I got some rhythm, I'm happy," said Marquez who is seeking a seventh elite world title to draw level with the legendary Valentino Rossi and move one behind record-holder Giacomo Agostini. Bezzecchi was far from downhearted at coming off second best to the man of the moment. "It's always difficult to lose the battle in the end but I have to say (it was) a very positive day for me," he said. "Hopefully tomorrow will be dry." This was Marquez's 10th Saturday dash win out of 11, and it consolidated his hold on the 2025 world title. The Spaniard increased his lead over younger brother Alex (eighth on Saturday) by 10 points to 78. Marquez senior will be hot favourite for Sunday's main race as he targets a seventh perfect weekend of victories in the sprint and race this year. The grid will be missing Maverick Vinales, the KTM-Tech 3 rider forced to pull out after suffering a fracture to his left shoulder from a heavy fall in qualifying.
