Hulk Hogan's cause of death was a heart attack, medical examiner says

The Hindu4 days ago
Professional wrestler Hulk Hogan's death last week was caused by a heart attack, according to a Florida medical examiner's report released Thursday.
Hogan, 71, whose real name was Terry Bollea, previously had leukaemia and atrial fibrillation, an irregular heart rhythm, the report from the District Six Medical Examiner said.
To honour the 'Hulkster', Gov. Ron DeSantis said, flags will be flown at half-staff at all official buildings Friday, which he declared 'Hulk Hogan Day in Florida.' 'He was a true Floridian through and through,' the Republican governor wrote in a memo Thursday.
Hogan was pronounced dead at a hospital less than 90 minutes after medics arrived at his home in Clearwater to answer a call about a cardiac arrest on the morning of July 24, police said. The report said the cause of death was "natural." 'He had been dealing with some health issues, but I truly believed we would overcome them,' Hogan's wife Sky Daily posted on Instagram.

'This loss is sudden and impossible to process,' she added. 'To the world, he was a legend… but to me, he was my Terry.' Hogan was perhaps the biggest star in WWE's long history, known for both his larger-than-life personality and his in-ring exploits. He was the main draw for the first WrestleMania in 1985 and was a fixture for years, facing everyone from Andre The Giant and Randy Savage to The Rock and even WWE co-founder Vince McMahon.
Hogan's daughter Brooke Bollea Oleksy, better known by her stage name Brooke Hogan, memorialised her father in a recent social media post.
'I am so grateful I knew the real version of him. Not just the one the world viewed through a carefully curated lens,' she wrote on Instagram. Funeral plans have not yet been publicly announced.

‘Sydney Sweeney has the hottest ad, Taylor Swift no longer hot' says Donald Trump as apparel manufacturer's stock price rises 23 percent

If Sydney Sweeney's PR team wasn't panicking for the last two weeks, they should definitely start doing so now. The Euphoria actor, who already found herself on the receiving end of a lot of backlash for her new ad campaign with American Eagle, has now given the public more reason to throw some shade at her. An old video of Sweeney showing off her shooting skills at a gun range recently went viral as she found a new fan in US President Donald Trump. Amid all the backlash Sweeney and American Eagle faced, reports came out suggesting that she was a registered Republican. Just a few hours later, Trump put out a post on Truth Social, congratulating the actor on her new ad. The post read, 'Sydney Sweeney, a registered Republican, has the 'HOTTEST' ad out there. It's for American Eagle, and the jeans are 'flying off the shelves'. Go get 'em, Sydney!' He then went on a tangent about car manufacturer Jaguar and ended the post saying, 'Look at the woke singer Taylor Swift. She was booed out of the Super Bowl and became NO LONGER HOT. The tide has seriously turned. Being WOKE is for losers; being Republican is what you want to be.' The slogan 'Sydney Sweeney has great genes' did not exactly sit well with the internet, and people called out the actor and the brand for putting out supremacist messaging and supporting eugenics. The brand shut down all the criticism, and some users on the internet pointed out that as long as the sales are increasing, any kind of publicity is great. Trump's support for the brand has certainly helped their position in the market, as their stock prices have gone up 23% since his comments. Sydney is yet to comment on any facet of this long-drawn-out episode and her actual political affiliation.

"Hulk Hogan was a bullshitter" – Bret Hart makes shocking claims about rivalry with Hulk Hogan

Bret Hart and Hulk Hogan (Image via X) Hulk Hogan died on July 24 at the age of 71, leaving the world of wrestling in shock. Many from all around the world have since shared tributes and stories about The Hulkster, and recently, someone who never really had a good relationship with Hogan also came up to reveal what really led to their rivalry. " Bret Hart's rivalry with Hogan was more off-stage than on. They did not have any major fights inside the squared ring, but outside of it was a different matter altogether. Bret Hart reveals the reason behind his rivalry with Hulk Hogan As many fans already know, the main reason behind the rivalry between Hulk Hogan and Bret Hart stemmed from Hulk's refusal to give up his WWE Championship to Hart during the 1993 SummerSlam. Just like the match between John Cena and Cody Rhodes saw the "passing of the torch" from Cena to Rhodes at SummerSlam 2025, 1993 also had similar plans - this one between Hulk Hogan, who was supposed to hand over the reins to Hart. — WrestlingNewsCo (@WrestlingNewsCo) But Hogan refused, not wanting to lose the WWE Championship, leading to a lot of off-stage drama. The Hitman recently made some shocking claims during his appearance on The Ringer Wrestling Show, and spoke of Hogan and how the latter was never one to encourage someone or push them forward. 'I always thought the day I won the belt, I always thought Hulk Hogan would come up and pat me on the back and tell me how glad he was that I was the guy that they picked to pull the sword out of the stone for him. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Brother Donates Kidney To Save Sister's Life. I had what he wanted, and we were never really friends, ever again.' Hart also said that Hulk Hogan had too much ego, and he continuously tried to undermine him when he was at WCW. But even though this was going on backstage, it did not translate well inside the ring, as the two never really got the chance to fight each other much. Bret Hart has been very open about his real-life feud with Hulk Hogan This was not the first instance where Bret Hart spoke of the real-life rivalry he shared with Hulk Hogan. He has always been very open about it, saying how much of a hindrance Hogan was for his career. But he didn't stop there; The Hitman also called Hogan a "bullsh*tter," saying The Hulkster made a lot of nonsensical comments. 'When I was a little kid, you go to school and elementary school, there's just always some kids that are bullshitters, that just tell bullshit and are just classic… that's just the way they are. I think Hulk Hogan was a bullshitter.' Hart also went on to call Hogan a "roadblock" for him, saying the latter made sure that when Hart was in WCW, his rival made sure he didn't have anything to work on. For all intents and purposes, Hart was benched, and it was all thanks to Hogan. He also said that Hulk Hogan only ever cared about Hulk Hogan and no one else, and that is why he never came up to others to encourage them or do something for them. This rivalry has been going on for decades, and even now that Hulk is dead, Hart is not going to change his story to make Hulk look better.
