‘Kingdom': Vijay Deverakonda's film postponed due to India-Pakistan tensions; new release date out
The makers said that the ongoing India-Pakistan tensions have made it difficult for the team to plan the promotions for the movie. The movie, produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Creations in association with Srikara Studios, will hit the screens on July 04, 2025.
'We explored every possibility to stick to the original date. But recent unforeseen events in the country and the current atmosphere have made it difficult for us to move forward with promotions or celebrations,' wrote the film team in a statement.

Bhagyashri Borse plays the female lead in the movie. Naveen Nooli, who won the National Award for Best Editing for Jersey, will handle the editing, while Avinash Kolla handles production design and the film's cinematography is by Jomon T. John and Girish Gangadharan.

Kingdom marks Vijay Deverakonda's first lead role since The Family Star, in which he starred alongside Mrunal Thakur. He was last seen in a cameo appearance in Nag Ashwin's Kalki 2898 AD starring Prabhas. Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan.

The film has triggered huge excitement among fans and film buffs. The title glimpse, which the makers released initially, has had a significant impact at the national level. More than just a cricket or sports drama, the film promises a wide range of elements that will be a treat to watch on the big screen, thanks to the expansive scope of its story. The movie is being mounted on a massive scale, with Venkata Satish Kilaru producing under his banner, Vriddhi Cinemas, and leading production houses Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings presenting it. Production of this film is right on schedule. It may be recalled that the film's cinematographer Rathnavelu, considered to be a master of natural lighting, had a few days ago disclosed that the unit had completed filming a 'terrific night action sequence with gritty visuals." The cinematographer was also full of praise for actor Ram Charan, who he said, 'breathes fire". The unit also has shot a first-of-its-kind train action sequence for the film. The stunning train sequence was shot on a gigantic set specially erected in Hyderabad. Sources claimed that this sequence would be something that has not been witnessed in Indian cinema before. The high-octane, big-budget train episode, that promises to raise the bar for action filmmaking in India, was crafted with exceptional detail by renowned production designer Avinash Kolla. In fact, sources had pointed out that the expansive set for the train stunt was a visual spectacle in itself. Action choreography for the film is being handled by the sensational Nabakanth Master, best known for crafting the iconic cricket shot from the film and for his acclaimed work in 'Pushpa 2'. Along with Ram Charan, Janhvi Kapoor plays the lead. Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyendu Sharma are all playing pivotal roles in the film. HIT 3 script entirely original, accusations are false, says Nani
The actor files counter affidavit denying plagiarism allegations made by a Tamil writer. Actor Nani has filed a counter affidavit in response to a recent petition by Tamil scriptwriter and author Vimalavelan, who alleged that the actor's recent Telugu film HIT: The Third Case was plagiarised from his script (Agent 11) and novel (Agent V). Nani claimed that the accusations are 'false, misleading and unfounded'. Since Vimalavelan's script is written in Tamil, Nani and the other respondents stated that they are not familiar with the language and have requested for its official English translation so that they can give an effective and informed response on the alleged similarities between both scripts. They also claimed that the similarities pointed out by Vimalavelan are standard tropes and recurring motifs in the thriller, crime, and investigative genres. 'These elements are not unique, distinctive, or original to the plaintiff's work, nor are they protectable under copyright law,' stated the affidavit while opposing the writer's request for an interim injunction. Vimalavelan had claimed that he sent the synopsis of his script to Nani's mail ID that was mentioned on his Facebook page in 2022, and that's how the actor accessed his script. Now, the latest reports suggest that the actress is making her long-awaited Tollywood comeback. According to a report by Gulte, after a long hiatus from Telugu cinema, Pooja is apparently in discussions to star in a new love story opposite Dulquer Salmaan . It sounds like it will mark the directorial debut of Ravi, an unknown from the world of Telugu cinema, and is being produced by the makers of 'Dasara' and the upcoming film 'Paradise.' Although she has not yet signed the dotted line, reports state that Pooja is leaning towards accepting the script and might be signing soon. Pooja's last full-fledged Telugu film was 'Acharya', which she signed back in 2020. She has spent limited time in Tollywood since, making a small appearance in 'F3', and was a member of 'Guntur Kaaram', however, she exited the film during the early production phase. Though she has not had success in Telugu cinema recently, she has a huge fan base. If reports are to be believed and Dulquer is a part of the film, then, it will be his third outing after his two super hits with the romance drama 'Sita Raman' and finance drama film 'Lucky Bhaskar'.
