In Cooperation with Jordan Under "Gallant Knight," UAE Continues Delivering Aid to Gaza by Air and Land - Jordan News

The United Arab Emirates carried out its 62nd airdrop operation today to deliver humanitarian aid to the residents of the Gaza Strip. This effort is part of the 'Birds of Goodness' initiative, stemming from Operation "Gallant Knight 3", which is being implemented by the UAE in collaboration with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and with international participation from France, Germany, Belgium, and Canada. اضافة اعلان These operations aim to overcome field challenges that hinder the delivery of supplies via land routes, particularly in areas experiencing severe security conditions. To date, more than 3,829 tons of food and urgent humanitarian aid have been airdropped into Gaza. Simultaneously, the UAE has continued its support via land corridors. Today, 40 trucks loaded with food supplies entered the Gaza Strip as part of organized relief convoys working to meet the essential needs of Palestinians amid deteriorating humanitarian conditions. These efforts reaffirm the UAE's enduring humanitarian approach and its commitment to supporting crisis-affected regions. The country continues to uphold the principles of solidarity with brotherly nations, particularly in times of major emergencies.

Tense and Angry Talks Between Merz and Netanyahu Over Gaza Tragedy - Jordan News

The New York Times reported on Tuesday that German Chancellor Friedrich Merz held several phone conversations—some of them described as tense and angry—with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in recent weeks, as the humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip worsens. اضافة اعلان According to a German official cited by the newspaper, Merz urged Netanyahu to reach a ceasefire agreement in Gaza and to allow the entry of humanitarian aid into the besieged enclave. The report added that Merz joined French President Emmanuel Macron and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer in a phone call with U.S. President Donald Trump last Monday. During the call, the leaders urged Trump to put pressure on Netanyahu to ease the humanitarian situation. Merz specifically emphasized to Trump the need to pressure Israel to allow more aid into Gaza, where people are dying of hunger. The paper also pointed out that German public opinion has turned sharply against Israel over the past year, as the devastating war on Gaza continues. At the same time, German political parties are increasingly calling for an end to arms exports to Tel Aviv. This shift comes shortly after German Foreign Minister Johann Vadvol visited Israel last week, where he met with Israeli officials to urge them to facilitate the delivery of aid to the blockaded Gaza Strip. While Israel has permitted the German military to carry out air-drops of humanitarian aid over Gaza, the German government released a statement following Vadvol's return to Berlin, noting that there has been only 'slight initial progress' in humanitarian delivery efforts. However, the statement stressed that such progress is 'far from sufficient to alleviate the state of emergency' in the region.

"Israeli" army must maintain permanent presence around Gaza, says Katz

"Israeli" Defense Minister Israel Katz stated on Tuesday that "defeating Hamas in Gaza and creating conditions for the return of the captives are the two main objectives of the war in Gaza," adding that "Israel" must take all necessary measures to achieve them. Katz emphasized that "Israel" must also ensure long-term security for its population centers by maintaining a permanent "Israeli" military presence in strategically selected areas of Gaza. "We must guarantee the safety and security of Israeli communities by maintaining a permanent IDF presence in a security zone surrounding strategic points in Gaza, from which attacks can be prevented and weapons smuggling stopped," he said. The defense minister added that once the political leadership makes the required decisions, the military will execute them with professionalism, as it has on all fronts of the ongoing war. "As defense minister responsible for the army, my role is to ensure this is achieved, and that is exactly what I intend to do," he affirmed. Katz's remarks come amid growing speculation that the "Israeli" government is seriously considering fully occupy the entire Gaza Strip. "Israel's" Channel 12 reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to meet with both IOF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir and Defense Minister Katz to discuss potential next steps. Senior officials in Netanyahu's office reportedly said one of the expected decisions is a full occupation of Gaza.
